  2. No Fred. Saul will not be spinning. He will be very happy indeed. Mr Obama hasn’t missed a lesson yet and I see no indication that he will in the near future.
    Many years ago, Saul autographed his book for my wife. He kept saying to us then; personalize the battle and keep banging away at the same theme, over and over.
    His goal is to organize the masses and he is doing that. The issues he uses are just the vehicle to get to his goal.
    He’s keeping it simple and he is keeping his troops focused.

    I must say that I have been bothered by Obama’s reaction to opposition. I honestly thought he wouldnt be heading in this direction. How naive of me.
    Pelosi and others are actually worse. There are legimntimate arguments to be made in favour of the Dems position, but they are doing a terrible job of it. In some ways it appears they dont want to get their hands, and minds, dirty by actually thinking the problem through and deliberating on it.
    Obama, I cannot figure out his strategy here. He claims he wants something and sets a high level goal yet shuts down the debate about it. In this scenario he should be defending the process, an endefendable one by the way, and giving it time. Alternatively, he needs to drive the process by proposing the bill himself and negotiating it, which he avoids like the plague since he would have to takeresponsibility for it.
    At the end of the day, he looks like a dillentente or he is somehow being run by the Congressional Democrats. Unless of course we go to ET’s theory that this guy is like my 8 year old son and things should happen because “I want this”. It shows a lack of understanding of the real process, and also an inablilty to look beyond your own wants and desires, which is odd for a “community organizer”.
    Another explaination, is that Obama, is borrowing a machine and tactics. Really isnt involvd in the down and dirty, like Truedeau, but unlike Mulroney Harper or chretien
    (or Tony Soprano 🙂 ) who understood what the implication was when an order was given or path embarked on. It gets handed Rahm and other capo’s in the Dem Party and off they go to do the “necessary things”.
    Some of the opposition to Obama are crackpots, some of his supporters are as well. But he is burning himself by not living up to his pirproted methods of listening to legitimate criticism and opposition.
    Sad, but the US, or the West, really cannot afford another Jimmy Carter Presidency.

    Looks like the $65,000,000 that the SEIU spent to get Obama elected wasn’t enough to keep him popular. So now they have returned to their Union roots of muscle power.
    The SEIU needs to keep Obama going long enough to get the Card Check rules in place. Then the SEIU can really take over the American economy, one illegitimate union election after another.

    Joe – I agree with you. Obama, as a pathological narcissist, has only one agenda. Himself. He feels psychologically secure only when he can control others. That’s what the ‘Community Organizer’ role did for him; he wasn’t intellectually or morally involved – or even aware of – the nature of the actions of the people he exhorted to ‘go out and do it’.
    Putting him in a role of President, where he cannot control all the population, as not all are part of his ‘team’, renders him vulnerable. Psychologically, he can’t handle questions, dissent, criticism. So, the BackRoom Gang has had to protect him from open questions.
    He’s not intellectually involved in the current agenda. He is, intellectually, almost barren of any knowledge of or interest in economics, history, political systems. He hasn’t a clue about finance or health care or health insurance or indeed, anything. His only interest, again, is in his ability to control people and make them ‘adore’ him. That’s it.
    Therefore, our concern has to be the BackRoom Gang and their socialist agenda. Obama is merely the upfront man who gave them the power to get their socialism in place in America. And by the way, if he becomes a liability, they’ll dump him.
    At the moment, they are cooling him down, and, for example, inserting the Clintons as prime agents. They had to cool down Obama’s racist comments about Gates – and both Obama and Gates were the racists in this situation. There is no way that Obama could have dealt with N. Korea, and they sent the Clintons do do it. They also had to divert Obama’s utterly stupid comments about Honduras and his support for Zelaya by inserting Clinton.
    They’ve had to deal with Obama’s flubs and insults on the foreign scene – which they’ve dealt with by denying they happen (bowing to the Saudi King; insulting the UK PM etc).
    I think they are realizing that Obama’s strength is only on the campaign trail. His shallowness, ignorance and narcissism prevents anything further. Therefore, the BackRoom Gang are, as I said, bringing the Clintons into the picture.
    And, are dealing with dissent, questions, etc on health care, on the economy, by not only misinformation and distortion of facts but above all, by pure thuggery, bullying and harassment.
    Biden was useful only to add ‘image’ to Obama but he’s in the background now.
    Something else about the BackRoom Gang tactics: divide and conquer. It’s incredible how they are dividing the population. Racism is a key component of Obama’s mindset – he wasn’t in Wright’s domain for 20 years for nothing. And he’s not interested in Christianity – he hasn’t replace his attendance at Wright’s anti-American, anti-white ‘church’ with one in Washington.
    And class division is emerging, with Obama, himself wealthy, openly sneering at capitalism and wealthy people..and instead, suggesting that the poor take all the wealth from others. There’ll be more divisions as Obama continues, besides class and race.
    My hunch is that the Backroom Gang will have Obama primarily visible only in campaign style barbecue events for a while. They’ll have others do the dirty work of misinforming, distortion, intimidation of citizens. And it will be vicious.
    Again – the Backroom Gang are the ones to fear.

    MoreOn – I think the video is Basic Obama campaign strategy, which consists of Three Tactics: Misinform, Manipulate using the Emotions of Fear and Hope; and Accuse anyone who disagrees of Bias. Those three tactics – are all Obama has to offer as President. The agenda, the ideology, is all from the BackRoom Gang.
    In the video, Obama was using the Emotions of ‘Hope’, which he defined as you behaving within the emotion of ‘togetherness’ rather than dissent. He ignores and rejects that a policy HAS to be debated, discussed, questioned. If everyone is ‘together’ then they are all puppets of a Leader.
    Notice how he defined any and all who criticize and question as Evil. The images of ‘slash and burn’, arguing, making a mess’.
    Notice how he said that he’d listen to other people’s ideas, BUT, if these ideas consist of dissent and argument, then they are unacceptable.
    And, notice the Blame of Others. He said ‘the folks who created the mess’. Now wait, is there a mess? Almost 80% of Americans are currently satisfied with their health care. So – what’s he talking about?
    Again, Obama is a narcissist. You cannot, ever, question him because that unsettles him. He has to feel that he controls you. If he doesn’t feel that way, he can become violently and viciously angry because he feels so threatened with loss-of-control.
    I mean that; he feels his very life is threatened if he feels he can’t control you. So, his first reaction will be anger. After that, you simply cease to exist for him; you actually don’t exist. That’s how he deals with any nation whom he feels he can’t control with his Charm. And with any person. Neither will exist.
    You cannot argue or debate policies with him because he intellectually barren; he knows nothing about those policies or issues. He is not an intellect, he doesn’t reason about, analyze ..anything. He merely sells himself and maintains himself in control. That’s all. Literally – that’s all there is to Obama.

    I think you about sum the game. The big picture IMO is “CAP & TRADE” and the bonding connection between the EU & American Socialists that will drive Global Governance.. It’s all or nothing for the festering communists of the last 60 years…
    A) The 2nd stimulus (yet to be spend) was passed in anticipation that Cap & Trade would tank the Economy (AKA forward stuffing a problem)… Banks where forced to take money & not allowed to pay back tarp funds. This is a smoke screen to hide the damage that Cap & trade would/will cause. The existing trading on the Stock Market is “Obama friendly” Zombie (not traceable) transactions (most likely Stimulus money)
    B) Health Care is likewise a pre-emptive policy to hide the effects of loss of employment under Cap & trade. The number of people without health insurance will balloon to (more than) 150 million by 2020. The socialists want the health PLAN in place such that people won’t see the economic damage they intend to implement

  27. This can only end badly. It is not wise to send one mob of people to confront another mob, especially when the governments behind it and the public is armed. It’s imperative that people at future protests (conservatives or liberals) document the protests for their own protection. I don’t care who instigates the violence, my only concern is the instigator are reprimanded; not those that are attacked.
    I can’t prove it, but I have a very strong feeling that all of this is anticipated and orchestrated. It’s a testament to the American people that they’ve been able to wade through the tidal wave of propaganda that has been thrown their way, not to mention the additional intimidation.
    Remember what “W” said “Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice; well, you can’t fool me again”. Americans have already been fooled at least three times : 1- the DNS document, 2- stupid white cop gate, 3- organizing mobs to intimidate citizens. I said early in the year that the DNS document on right-wing extremists was the most disconcerting thing I’ve read, and I felt it was the opening volley in an assault on conservatives. If this continues, it’s going to end badly. I predict the “Civilian” troopers the President discussed that are “funded as well as the military” are just around the corner.

    That’s not a bad thing as far as T is concerned. IMO the real key to defeating those with beliefs such as his is to expose their motives to the main stream public. Once people understand socialist don’t have their best interests in mind, but instead are simply lying to extract the possessions of others, the scam is derailed. History has shown this quite clearly. You get that T? Socialism is bad for poor people, it prevents them from becoming rich by siphoning their wealth and GIVING IT TO THE RICH!

    You could be right about 2012, Obama probably will win in 2012 but to what end? The GOP will break the super majority in 2010 and probably save Obama from himself. They could even have a majority in one or both houses by 2012. You see T, Obama doesn’t get to appoint his Senators. Too bad eh?
    Obama is treading precariously close to squandering his once in a generation opportunity to have real “change”(not that I support that). The problem is, Obama doesn’t have his own agenda. His complete disregard for public sentiment or reality (as ET predicted) has accelerated the inevitable dissent of a mislead public.   33. Curiously, those who despise the competitive marketplace and fight against corporate monopolies appear to be quite willing to subjugate their freedom of choice and replace it with a state monopoly.
    Obama gives lip service to the free market system, which has made America the greatest nation ever, while articulating that he’s in favour of a single-payer ie government-run and by definition a monopolistic insurance system.
    He organizes, while intimidating those exercising their First Amendment right to freedom of speech by unleashing SIEU thugs onto the populace.

    I find your hypothesis interesting. If what you say is true, then all those in Canada, the US and other western democracies that desire “one world governance” must have been brain washed. After all, what possible benefit can be gained by us by reducing America for example to the lowest COMMON denominator?
    I believe as I always repeat that the true motives of the aforementioned people is OPP(yeah you know me). The end result may be as you predict, and I will agree it’s what those outside of the west desire, but I don’t believe it’s the motivating factor behind our socialists here at home.     The Americans long ago realized that Kyoto was a transfer of wealth to accomplish what you say. I believe someone in the UN actually let it slip that it was to advance “social justice” or something like that. That being said, Cash for Carbon is still a great scam and it will work nicely here at home. And let’s be honest, can you see any liberals, socialists or Democrats actually sending billions of their hard earned (oops I meant hard scammed) tax dollars over seas to help people? Black and Brown people? Uh, uh, ain’t going to happen. Philanthropy is a conservative trait, and a liberal talking point, not the other way around. It includes them but also crony capitalists …Soros and Goldman Sachs and …dare I say it … the capitalist Messiah … Warren Buffet. They all add up to our equivalent of Paul Desmarais who ran the Liberal party out of Quebec and thus quietly influenced Canadian politics more than most of us realize.
    Desmarais is not an evil person, neither is Buffet. But they have selfish interests in trillion dollar economies and what better way to reduce the risk of their investments than to have influence through their puppets, the heads of countries?
    The checks and balances of the Senate and the Congress should be to break the backs of these conflicts of interests. But they are all part of it now. Not to mention Obama’s Czars running industries.
    I never would have thought the US would become so much like a banana republic Canada had descended into, pre Harper. Scary!

    Now, watch what Obama and his Gang, or should I say, the BackRoom Gang and Obama, are doing to this infrastructure.
    Freedom of speech is being openly denied by this Obama administration. He says it openly: ‘Either you are with us or against us’..His Newspeak for that assertion is: “We are all in this together” which translates to ‘Either you are with us”. And his Newspeak for the opposite is “slash and burn and arguing”.
    Remember how Bush was derided for such a statement – and he was only referring to The War on Terror. Not internal domestic policies. But Obama is referring to His Internal Domestic Policies, not terrorism (which he denies exists anyway)…And there’s no opposition permissable. None.
    None. So, the agenda will be to demonize questions, dissent; to harass and intimidate anyone who isn’t ‘For Us/Obama’.
    The attack on free speech and freedom of association will be vicious. Just watch.
    Then, watch for the corruption of the elections, with vicious misinformation and distortion in the campaigns.
    There’ll be a reduction of accountability because Obama is appointing all his aides, those ‘czars’ and they are unaccountable to the people.
    He’s reducing the ELECTED legislature, by insisting that Congress pass motions on TRUST rather than by Reasoned Debate and Analysis. Obama rejects Congress reading and debating his bills. I repeat: he rejects Congress reading and debating his bills.
    How dare you question The Great One? That’s how a narcissist thinks. Obama wants Congress to pass the bills without reading them. To read and debate them shows a ‘lack of trust’ in your Leader. Your Glorious Leader.

    The BackRoom Gang might not be a bunch of socialists but their agenda is socialist, for tis the only way to centralise an economy and get it within their control and reduce the power of other Americans to be ‘capitalist’ and have economic power.     ET, I’m sure it is mostly socialists but also crony capitalists because it is a marriage of convenience. I never understood until recently why Bay St was so pro Trudeau, pro deficits, pro more Government bonds, pro inflation … it was all very good for the skim business.
    Socialism can work for the establishment, for the mega companies that don’t like to rock the boat because they dominate their markets. Obama promised a new kind of capitalism and we’re getting it:
    Crony Capitalism.
    It’s a co-dependency. They need each other. Goldman Sachs now is the world’s dominant investment bank and as Obama’s biggest political donner has influence on the Treasury… bigger deficits, more debt…that just means more government bonds GS can sell and take their skim.
    Buffet has all kinds of investments in financial institutions and also I think in Moody’s the credit rating agency. What better way to maximize those investments then to influence Obama to allow Buffet to become the de facto financial Czar in the background. I’ll bet Bush and Buffet seldom talked; I’ll bet Obama and Buffet talk regularly. Buffet comes across as Main Street folksy … don’t believe it.
    Don’t forget it was Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act (almost rhymes with Community Organizer) that got us into the financial crisis which turned an otherwise mild recession into a crisis.
    In short, I’m starting to understand why Main Street is so anti-Wall St. The cronyism needs to have a light shone on it. Thankfully in Canada I think we got that bad movie behind us, however we should always be weary to not only separate Church and State but also Bay St and Ottawa.

  41. I don’t have much to add that hasn’t already been said. I just want to say this: Obama and his crew are getting scarier and scarier with each passing day. And, I don’t use that word lightly. I am all too aware of the flippant use of the “scary” and “extreme” memes hurled at Canadian conservatives over the past 15-20 years. As such, I don’t use those descriptions lightly, myself.
    Obama and his administration scare the hell out of me. His ideas and policies pose an existential threat to the Republic. The U.S.A. will survive in some form or another, but if The One gets his way, it will not be a land where one can chase life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, I’m not even American!

  42. Both mine and my wife’s family experienced in Russia the largess and benevolence of the sort of system T wants. Thankfully they escaped in the early 1920s. Other family members were not able to escape. Some of them were done away with and others and their descendants lived in slavery until 1990. The Soros types are not surprising as there were similar market manipulators and fellow travellers in the 1920s and 30s.

  44. The joke is actually on people like T who believe that the “organizer”, Maurice Strong, Soros, et al, are doing all this for “the good of the people”. Like the executioners said to the Cambodians just before slitting their throats “this is for the good of the people”. An even bigger joke on people like T is when the object of their affection bites them after they get control.

  45. What socialism does is to remove power from the people and put it in the hands of an oligarchy, a small set of dictators. That’s the basic infrastructure of socialism.
    Now, that set, that oligarchy, can be made up of ‘crony capitalists’ – such as the infamous Chretien-Desmarais family in Canada, a set who comprise Chretien, Martin, Strong, the Desmarais and even Mulroney..This set seek to garner an authoritarian control on the reins of the economyto set up themselves as the key controllers and agents in the economy.
    They use the political system to gain this control. Their agenda is NOT for the well-being of the population but, that financial and economic control of the whole economic infrastructure of the nation.
    We’ve seen this in Canada, which was reduced, economically, to a dependency on the US economy, and where the key industrial and manufacturing complexes were owned by this ‘Set’ (Desmarais etc).
    The problem with the US moving into such an economic mode is that it, as an economic mode, is non-productive. If you take independence of thought, freedom to question, and the capacity to make wealth, away from a population – then, your industrial capacity – to create new technologies, new manufacturing systems, new products etc, dies. And dies fast.
    Do these BackRoom Gang realize this? In their eagerness to control the economy – do they realize that such a reduction of the population from a middle class (free thinkers, independent minds and businesses)…to a passive dependent class of acquiescent sheep…means that the Great Industrial Power of the US will end?
    Obama certainly doesn’t know; he has no capacity to think and analyze. But, what’s the agenda of the BackRoom Gang?

    Interesting question. It’s almost as if the “BackRoom Gang” and thier supporters believe that if America stops progressing the rest of the world will remain static as well. That is the only long term strategy I can come up with to maintain the status quo from their perspective.

    My guess is the “Buffets” will see the error of their ways. They were playing checkers and should have been playing chess. Unlike Obama, they are not mailroom boys, they think like CEO’s, they’ll get it.
    The GOP will clean its own house of elitists and come up with a leader that will go into 2010 and take the House. Then we’ll see the checks and balances return.
    The good news is that Obama and his backroom gang are so dreadful they’ve scared the hell out of middle class American and it cannot go on. The market is also telling us that… it is back to Oct 2008 levels after a dreadful fall by March 9th when it looked like Obama might turn America into Europe.

    T, here is a little exercise for you. Find out which pollster called the 2004 election and the 2008 election the closest. You can use google, because if I tell you who it is, you will think I am lying. Then see what that pollster finds Obama’s current approval number to be with “Likely Voters”. Then you can look at results of recent special elections, like the one in Deleware and look that the polling for the two governor’s races this fall, both of which are occurring in states that went for Obama.
    After you have done all of this research, come back and tell me how your statement that Obama will be a two term president is based on anything other than wishful thinking on your part.
