That's right, folks. According to the mens' magazine MAXIM, Palin is hotter than Dhalla, according to the world-class expert on hot women.

If you are deemed "hot" and are frequently in the public eye, it is nearly impossible to get anyone, especially the MSM, to see anything else.

In reality, I don't think it'll hurt her much. Many people do what she did - pay nannies under the table - and keeping their passports will be seen as a negotiating ploy. Unfortunately, in Ontario, you have to do much worse to lose an election. In fact lying and stealing appears to be the best way to GET ELECTED in this provincs.

So the CBC uses Sarah Palin as an example of a 'bad' politician.
Perhaps that perception of Sarah Palin is the result of the skewed coverage of her by the CBC and other media.
Fer instance the CBC's Peter Mansbridge introduced a piece by on her by Neil Macdonald by saying the McCain campaign didn't do enough research before choosing her as running mate. Then the report went on to tell us that Bristol Palin was 5 months pregnant and said she was the real mother of 4 1/2 month old Trig.
That's seems a bit odd, doesn't it?

I wonder how much 'research' Peter and Neil did before airing that gem?

The CBC doesn't like being reminded of that, any mention of it in any story is considered off topic and gets yanked.

Another point I heard about the Star was they they had been "investigating" the story for a couple of weeks. Curious time lag there. We know that the Ontario gov. was aware of the story and hiding it. It looks like the Star was sitting on it as well. Perhaps it was clear that it would be leaked on way or the other and the Star then had no choice.

The other little annoyance is that Susan Bonner on the CBC suggested that "of course" the Conservatives were going to make a big deal of this wanting to pounce on Ignatieff's post-election bounce. I don't know why they insist on inserting these editorial comments on something that should be a straightforward reporting of the story.

I also think the Sarah Palin comment is tacky and unprofessional. Moreover, it does not make a lot of sense.

The statists can't shut up about Sarah Palin because SHE"S the "Most Influential Person of 2009",... oh, and statists eat their own vomit.

I do. It's because they have an agenda to oppose and to make the Conservatives look bad, however and whenever possible and to promote and protect the Liberal Party. As much as they can get away with it, they do it. Clearly the Big Media is significantly to the Left of the mainstream, and they're not afraid to use their jobs in the "news" media to advance their ideological and partisan agenda. The Big Media is corrupt and politicized to ideological and partisan extremes.

Even RINOs are doing it, too, which makes me think that they're double agents/spies for the Hard Left.

I think the problem does not lie with the "effminate, let's please everyone and thus no one, cowards." The problem is that minority enclaves in metropolises such as Toronto and Vancouver vote for the party which panders to them (usually Liberals or NDP)--this disallows the Conservatives (nation-wide) in having a majority which limits their ability to do "the right thing". By the way, the Conservatives are still seen as the rich, white man's party (even though there are probably more people of colour and women in its hierarchy than the Libs or NDP). So the "problem" is democracy.
