The more I learn about Pierre Poilievre the more I like his style. So far it seems his biggest gaff was to opine that there just might be a problem with IRs that can’t be solved by throwing money at the denizens.

Some of us wouldn't call it a gaff, we'd call it a reasonable observation.
The silence from the opposition on this matter is telling.Certain members of the opposition seem totake pride on their human rights position yet they won't take pride on their governments stance. They cannot fathom that others can be stronger on the racism file.
As I commented in reader tips, the Liberals realize Pierre is very effective and smart. He get's hoots from the Opposition when he stands in the HOC, he stares them down every time. It's the Liberal way of intimidating people, showing them disrespect to try to wear them down. It's like a hockey game, they want the good players out of the game so they put out their goons.
Walking out of Durban was the right thing to do. Cutting off funding to Durban-junketing NGOs was even righter. Being number one out the door, the rightest! Good job by the CPC and Harper.
Question for all a y'all liberal trolls: Would Iggy walk out of a UN hate fest on principle? Stephanie Dion?
Very true. I have a little toy from Wal-Mart, press the button and it recites a quote from Yoda. Very valuable. I wish there was a similar device with W.C. quotes on it.
I believe PMSH was the only leader in the west not to attend the opening ceremonies at the Olympics. I'm starting to see a pattern of leadership here, very unCanadian. It means we might actually have to take a stand for something down the road instead of sitting on the fence and waiting for the chips to fall. This also means an election is on the horizon, because I just know our so-called brothers and sisters in central Canada can’t handle it.
Leadership is risky; and like free-speech, it’s an American concept. We just can’t have that, can we?
Seems like the Conservatives are standing up for the Majority of Canadians with people whom can actually talk the talk. The people who are talking for the government are not making the same errors that the previous 'Cons' made and henceforth PMSH does not have to waste energy or time clearing up issues such as the 'listeria remark' last year. As 'ET' has stated it's about the Lieberals image, image, image. Trying to mask the MI as the chosen one so he can lead Canada because it is their inherent right to.
As I see it, since 'Kate' won the best conservative blog award, she has a lot more new trolls on board. I would like to ask the commenter's 2 questions.
1] Who's the control freak now?. PMSH who doesn't let his reps speak out of order or the one MI whom has been appointed by 800 members of the lieberal caucus to lead the lieberals in the next election and if you think that 'may in vancover' is going to change things, "dream on baby, dream on".
2] Who would you want to lead the country, a person whom has lived here all his life or one that has turned up 3 years ago and parachuted in a riding, run in one leadership vote and parachuted in as leader of the opposition whom wants to lead Canada with image, image, image.
You will often hear "Just because I am against Israel's policies doesn't mean I am an Anti-Semite"
No it doesn't, but nine times out of ten that is exactly what you are. One fellow commenting over there Rob34 you could almost hear him say "schmutziger Juden'
I could give the usual anti-semite commentors and lobby groups some credence for their criticism of Israel's human rights record if they'd lead a gay pride parade in Gaza City or Riyadh. Until then . . .
Has anyone seen any member of the media quiz the Video Professor on what has transpired at Durban 2? He and his Dippers viciously condemned Harper for not attending.
marc in calgary: I don't think Churchill would have come off looking very good in such a battle of wits. It's hard to show greatness fighting an unarmed opponent.
Frankly I am proud of PM Harper (God Bless him) standing against the Jihadist hordes. Who want to warp & de-humanize our lives with their Sharia law that is a disgrace to humanity, especially Women. It a coercive system rooted in vengeance with death as its highest goals.
Yet the yahoo's who comment are ignorant of it s tenets or even Middle East history. I mean who has kept these people in camps like we do Indians. With it seems the same result. Hate, anger & a sense of entitlement. The UN with western money just keeps them confined. Not a dime from oil rich Arabs. Nor any offers to settle in their lands. You would think all Muslims would rally to this part of the Ummah, like Christians do for their own & others. Nope. Besides this has nothing to do with Israel. That is only one area of world wide Jihad . To create a world Caliphate. As major attacks against India, England, Spain, America have all shown.

Pierre Poilievre, bien dit. Of course, his article appears in the National Post. Have the TorStar and the Probe and Fail featured his comments? Has the CBC?
Of course the Librano Cheerleaders in the MSM will do everything they can to prevent Canadians from knowing the positive things PMSH and the CPC are accomplishing. I am very proud of our Prime Minister and his party for standing up and being counted, as difficult as this is in the present partisan political climate.
There's another apt saying, "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." Leftards have fallen hook, line, and sinker for bogus, feel-good, politically correct "human rights" and the parasitic opportunists who take advantage of their misplaced concerns. That the UN gives credence to these opportunists is as much a scandal as the violations of human rights in countries like Iran and Libya.
If you stand up for what you know is right, you're always going to have enemies. That's why the Good Book says, "Woe to you when all speak well of you."
When you look at who's dissing our Prime Minister and his CPC, you've got to figure that what they're doing is right.
Pierre Poilieve is a brilliant young man. He has learned more facts in his short lifetime than the collective batch of puff balls sitting in their nice comfy furs on all opposition benches. Pierre, like our Prime Minister, does not need a teleprompter to answer questions (PMSH answered all the questions for the Owe when the Owe was up here because the latter could only 'ah and umm' and grin when he was asked questions from the limp legged msm who were trying to control the thrills running up and down their limbs - he ddn't have his 'Oma's little helper' that day. PMSH did all the heavy lifting - as always). Pierre and PMSH can think on their feet and access facts from their own brains.
Pierre is a good man and his article is pertinent and well written. I agree with what he says because I still belive in right and wrong(left) and I KNOW that some things/people are good and others are evil. I believe in God and I pray for the good/right to be victorious.
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

mailserver in Europe)
I can't answer or use every
tip, but all are
appreciated!

you send someone TRAFFIC.

And the usual numb-nuts anti-Jewish comments instantly appear after the column. Idiots.
I don't know what the fuss is about. Durban II was supposed to be a convention about racism, and that's what it was.
Can't please anybody these days.
Churchill said it all. You have enemies? Good. That means you stood up for something in your life.

Next: bulldoze the U.N. headquarters at Turtle Bay and send the reps back to their home countries.
Canada: too good for the U.N.
A real keeper in the comments:
"Most Canadians aren't puerile and sophomoric kafiyeh-wearing chardonney-socialist anti-Semites like you."

Your PM is terrific and definitely has assumed a leadership role where he might end up ducking shoes himself - a badge of honor these days.
As for the UN, it would look absolutely great ensconced in one of the former commercial, now blighted areas of Montreal. Right at home, I'd say.
It would be good to have heard a debate between Winston and B.Hussien Obama... I know, it's a bit like a cat playing with a mouse.
