What is the pilots name?

No, Who is the pilot's name.
What is the pitcher's name.
And I. Don't Know is on third.

Crazy Canuck...

Oooops, Spelling mistake. It should have been Krazi Kanuk... My apologies...

The plane has landed on Highway 19, in Missouri.

Now for some 'splanin.

Just checking the big Owe's security.Wonder if anybody will get fired, like the Reds did at the Kremlin way back when?
Or maybe the pelot was lookng for some of that global warming down south?

Considering the recent late night "Red Eye" (I think) report on our Canadian troops, the US may have considered the possibility that Canada was invading! :)

I'd guess he's defecting. He'll get asylum, and they'll get to analyze our weapons system.

We can expect the student to receive a strongly worded letter? Or, would that be considered a violation of his human rights?

Via the Courier Mail from Australia, the plane has now landed on Highway 60 in Missouri and the pilot fled. Emergency services are looking for the suspect. Official know his name but it has not been released. The news story is titled "US air force fighters chase stolen plane; lands on highway".

It would be like Madison to think "they" were being attacked.

Precisely, prey tell, what does Madison, Wisconsin have to do with anything?

When are you Canadians going to put wisconsin, Minnesota and the Dakotas out of our misery and invade us already?

CNN says:

"ederal, state and local authorities launched a manhunt for the pilot, who was identified by the FBI as Adam Leon, 31, a native of Turkey who became a Canadian citizen last year, according to FBI spokesman Richard Kolko. He was formerly known as Yavuz Berke, though officials did not indicate a reason for the name change."

You made me smile.

The pilot finally landed on a dirt road near Ellsinore, in southeastern Missouri, and a man was taken into custody.

Local news down there is reporting:
"Laura Brown of the Federal Aviation Administration said the Cessna 172 landed on a dirt road at Ellsinore, Mo., near Poplar Bluff and the pilot ran. The Missouri Highway Patrol said a man was apprehended at or near a grocery store in the area."

Must have been looking for some American beer!!! Or had tickets to a show at Branson.

He must have flown south over Lake Superior and made landfall on the south shore somewhere east of Ironwood and west of Ontonagon. That would have put him directly over the commercial airport there, and one local field 30 miles to the east of that, so he obviously had no desire to set it down.

Would have passed by either 40 miles west or 20 miles east of my location here. Wisconsin-based F-16s would have made the intercept 30 miles south of here. Still think it strange that Duluth radar didn't pick him up and scramble the Air National Guard from Duluth International.

The details of "why" should be real interesting.

"identified by the FBI as Adam Leon, 31, a native of Turkey who became a Canadian citizen last year, according to FBI spokesman Richard Kolko. He was formerly known as Yavuz Berke"

What a garbage pail Canada is turning into thanks to our INSANE immigration "shitstem"

Exactly, Yoop. Once we know whether Why is in left
field or is the shortstop, we'll have the complete play.

I'm going to CBC.ca. They will have better coverage of this story over there.
While I'm there, maybe I'll apply for a job.

HA!

Canada, you're missing one of your Turks. But one with a lot of aliases? Adam Dylan Leon???

Maybe the cops got the local drunk, and the pilot got away.

"Sgt. Marty Elmore, Missouri Highway Patrol public information officer, said a man was taken into custody about 9:30 p.m. in the Ellsinore area. He identified him as Adam Dylan Leon, 31, but didn't have a hometown for him."

"Brown said the plane came from the Confederation College Flight School at Thunder Bay International Airport."

"Major Brian Markin with the North American Aerospace Defense Command said the plane landed at 8:45 p.m. CST. That meant it was in the air just over six hours since the reported theft."

Quick someone alert Mark Steyn.

Some commenter on cbc.ca has already picked up that the Keystone cops in Thunder Bay sent the SWAT Team in after the guy left so they could do their ultra expensive yellow tape job when there was no danger of anyone other than Craig Oliver lurking on the grounds.

I heard it took 6 of them armed to the teeth to storm the washroom looking for swastikas on toilet paper rolls after an anonymous tip.

Did he have a North Korean Dong with him? Inquiring minds..

I’m a huge fan of SDA but have always been reluctant to comment. After that last comment by Hannibal Lectern I got to tell you I laughed so hard I’ve got tears in my eyes, Thanks!
Welcome to Ontario guys

Obama was just in turkey this weekend. A connection perhaps?

Hannibal, "no danger of anyone other than Craig Oliver". LOL, man, did you get it right!

Obama was just in turkey this weekend. A connection perhaps?

Gobble gobble.

;)

They dispatched two F-16s? Wow, a stronger response to a Cessna than to the launching of a rogue missile...

Did he have a North Korean Dong with him? Inquiring minds..

Unlikely, unless he had one of those dong transplants, and a NK one, necessarily, after somehow losing his original one. Heh-heh...

Seriously though, once again I'm astonished at how quickly authorities tell the Big Media that there's "no connection to terrorism". How the hell can they possibly know that right away? They hadn't done an investigation. And the facts emerging do point into a certain general direction. One would have to be stupid or ignorant to not realize that this guy absolutely for sure needs to be closely and thoroughly investigated by counterterrorism intelligence agents!

A reverse name change?

"The pilot was identified as Yavuz Berke, formerly known as Adam Leon, a 31-year-old naturalized Canadian citizen who was born in Turkey, Kolko said."

"Burke was apparently treated for depression last Friday and left his girlfriend a good-bye note, Canadian officials told the U.S. government. Berke's vehicle was left at the airport in Canada with the keys still in it."

Lets see:

A guy jumps a fence in Thunderbay and takes a plane without permission.

The flight school says their plane IS gone.

NO flight plan is filed and the plane crosses into US airspace, crosses Lake Superior and the UP, WITHOUT permission or any clearance from ATC-MSP.

The flight is escorted by the National Guard across Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri.

The pilot IGNORES the F-16s, makes NO radio contact with anyone, lands on a highway in Missouri and FLEES on foot.

So the best the BBC can do is "allegedly"?

From the BBC, hours after the details are reported:

"A small plane allegedly stolen from an airport in Ontario, Canada, has been intercepted by US fighter jets and forced to land in Missouri."

I guess he "allegedly" just had to make a pit stop to pee. His next stop is "allegedly" a semi-private room at GITMO, OR a townhall meeting with Barak to discuss an open-borders policy.

Hes some lucky those f16s didnt light up hes plane with a sidewinder.Very lucky indeed.

Based upon how the drama ended, I would say that "suicide by U.S. air force" is overrated. The real thing doesn't seem that inclined to fire one off outside of a war theatre.

As an old Port Arthur boy and retired airforce, this item caught my attention. Initially from Drudge, the story was "Yavuz Berke, formerly known as Adam Leon, a 31-year-old naturalized Canadian citizen who was born in Turkey", jumped a fence and stole a plane from a flight school.

Now I look at other news sources and the story changes... a lot. Now he is a "rogue pilot", a student pilot, a misguided soul who flew too Lord knows what else. Latest is that he was trying "suicide by F-16".

I guess the whole point is that the media makes up what they want after getting an illeged fact or two, in order to get the "scoop".

Oh, and lest I forget, the "experts" are starting to make a big deal with the keys being left in the plane. Newsflash! Heck of a lot of planes don't need keys or can be easily hotwired.

See the spin starting to making this thief a victim? Order more basketball courts Dalton.

The truth is his girl friend was assigned to be one of MO's 72 virgins trainee next month at the local mosque so she decided to get in a lot of practice with the local firefighter boys first and Yavuz found out. It's enough to put off any junior jihadist!

Once he enterered the US over the Upper Peninsula the authorities figured we could get him with snowballs. Since they closed the two SAC bases in the UP we use catapults.

(I wonder if the WANG called Barak in Turkey to get permission to pull the trigger.)

Could not have done it anywhere near Madison. The chances of an errant misssile missing the target and falling to earth in The Peoples Republic of Wisconsin would have been a liberal-collateral-damage disaster.

Once he was over Illinois it was deal-making-time for Blago.

Finally, over Missouri, they figured to let him land and the the Gun-clinging, Bible-reading locals could run him to ground with their coon hounds. (Key in music from Deliverence. He's lucky the state troopers got him first.)

Perhaps he was on his way to bomb the Baldwins...

southpark.wikia.com/wiki/The_Baldwins

The question that comes to mind is what was on SALE at that grocery store in Ellsinore Missouri that would attract this sort of bargain-hunting foray? Could it have been Turkey dressings that evoked melancholia?

Someone forgot to tell him that Coors is available in Canada now?

the guy was trying to ESCAPE from THUNDER BAY!

and the closest civilization is SOUTH.

I saw this on TV at the gym, and I saw the photo... but then the name was Adam Leon, so I thought, myeh, Italian, maybe Latino, just a cazy. Now I learn he's a Turk... and I find I'm not surprised.

Oh, by the way, how is American beer like sex in a canoo?
They're both F*#king close to water.

The whole bizarre affair came to an end at Ellsinore. It started at Thunder Bay.

Hmm, coincidence??? I think not!

Something strange is brewing for sure.
