So what's up with the CRT hearings with Ivan Fecan crying like a little girl with a booboo ? Is this this good for us normal conservatives types ? - a possiblitiy of the MSM stranglehold being somewhat dissolved a bit, prying one more claw off msm message control?
Anyone got the pulse here who can elucidate on this? (spelling is probably the sh1ts, trying some Alberta Premium whiskey to nite...)
Obama's slogan "Yes We Can" is no longer exclusively Obama's....

Given Specter's shift of wind, this item's ironic:
"Van Hollen: Climate bill could wait [until 2010]"
" Some have looked back and compared it to the keynote speech delivered by Barack Obama, then an aspiring senatorial candidate in Illinois, at the Democratic national convention in 2004 — and we all know what happened to him."--- Who is cbc talking about? Why,the next american prime minister,of course.------http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/04/24/f-ignatieff-profile.html
A MUST READ ARTICLE! This guy awes me sometimes with his straight thinking.

In April 2007, Karol Jaholkowski climbed the roof of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity house, and later fell when a fellow frat member reached up to high-five him. Jaholkowski spent 3 months in a coma after falling 6 metres. The suit claims UBC failed to prohibit people from accessing the frat house roof or install safety railings."

"Global warming alarmists out in cold
IT'S snowing in April. Ice is spreading in Antarctica. The Great Barrier Reef is as healthy as ever.
And that's just the news of the past week. Truly, it never rains but it pours - and all over our global warming alarmists.
Time's up for this absurd scaremongering. The fears are being contradicted by the facts, and more so by the week.
Doubt it? Then here's a test."

Dumbing down in McGuintys Ontario....
According to the Ontario Ministry of Education policies, if a student misses a test (whether they skip class or are sick) or if they cheat then the evaluation is not valid and they MUST NOT BE GIVEN A ZERO. The student must have an opportunity to be re-evaluated on the material. Assignments can have a due date but if the student does not hand it in on the due date a ZERO CANNOT BE ASSIGNED. The student must be allowed to hand in the assignment late without being penalized.........

Well, well. Little ol’ Seamus O’Regan doin’ some celebratin’ for the Liberal leader in Liberal-land. How very nice and predictable of him.
Another pseudo-journalist's cred has bitten the dust.
Gun Salesman in Chief sparks 3-month guns and ammo shopping spree that is enough to supply entire Chinese and Indian armies.
http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/04/change-americans-buy-enough-guns-in-3.htmlIn just 3 months Americans bought enough guns to outfit the entire Chinese and Indian army’s combined.
They also bought over 1.5 billion rounds of ammunition in just the month of December 2008.
This is an evaluation of overall firearms and ammunition purchases based on low end numbers per Federal NIC instacheck data base Statistics. The numbers presented are only PART of the overall numbers of arms and ammunition that have been sold. The actual numbers are much higher.
Seamus is shameless when it comes to Liberal lovin'. The little knob/twit once pondered a run for them. Not sure what scared him away, job security maybe.
Let Iggy flog his "Me" book in the halls of higher learning across the country, he'll be in his element and the one he'll be going back to. Well, that is unless the people of this country have lost their capacity for reasoned thought. I just heard Dennis Miller interview a "senior fellow" at Media Matters. They claim to be a non-partisan group watching bias in the media. As if!
This fellow essentially claimed that the media has been TOO tough on Barack Obama "and much of it is hateful".
The fact that some people out there share this view illustrates how deeply widespread mental illness is in our society!
Seamus is just ONE MORE REASON I very very rarely watch any Canadian news shows. And if I do happen to tune in, I just end up changing the channel in a matter of minutes anyway.
Soccermom, I remember a few years ago Seamus was on a local radio show here in Vancouver. The premise was that he claimed to be looking for honest feedback from the Canadian public about his show.
I called up and told him that many Western Canadians were completely alienated by the deep seated biases on shows like his. Within seconds he dismissed my comment out of hand. That's open-minded for you!

Nigel Lawson, Mrs Thatcher’s Lasting Legacy
It is hard, even for those old enough to remember, to recall the nature of Britain when the Conservatives led by Margaret Thatcher came to power 30 years ago, and to recollect just how bad were the circumstances and how great the challenges...
Christopher Caldwell, Fear masquerading as tolerance
A central problem in welcoming people from poor countries is that Europeans have lost faith in parts of the civilisation to which migrants were drawn in the first place. "Europeans would like to exit from history, from la grande histoire, from the history that is written in letters of blood," wrote the French political scientist Raymond Aron in the 1970s. "Others, by their hundreds of millions, wish to enter it." It is hard to follow Europe’s rules and embrace Europe’s values, as newcomers are sometimes told they must, when Europeans themselves are rewriting those rules and reassessing those values...
In the name of liberal universalism, many of the laws and customs that had held European societies together were thrown out the window. Tolerance became a higher priority than any of the traditional preoccupations of state and society—order, liberty, fairness, and intelligibility—and came to be pursued at their expense. But in recent years Europe’s ideology of neutrality has buckled under the weight of mass immigration and become a source not of strength but of what Alsana, the bitchy Bengali housewife in Zadie Smith’s White Teeth, called "hosh-kosh nonsense." Looking around her diverse, bien-pensant London neighbourhood, Alsana thinks: "No one was more liberal than anyone else anywhere anyway. It was only that here, in Willesden, there was just not enough of any one thing to gang up against any other thing and send it running to the cellars while windows were smashed."...
The looming Conservative-separatist-socialist coalition
Andrew Steele, today at 12:49 PM EDT
A few days ago, I wrote about the potential for the NDP to support the Conservatives in the face of potential losses to a resurgent Liberal Party.
That shift made it exceedingly difficult to see how the Grits would engineer a fall election, as Jack Layton's campaign director was testing the waters for voting to sustain the Conservatives in power.
Today, the chances of a fall election fell further, and are now much closer to zero than 50 per cent.
The reason is the latest CROP poll from Quebec:
LPC - 37
BQ - 31
Cons - 15
NDP -12
For the first time since the Gomery inquiry, the Liberals are leading in Quebec, and by a healthy margin. ...."
Frenchie has always known how to play the politico's own game, by being able to vote with their wallet - approaching politicians the same way as they approach the populace: What can I get out of them.
That's allowed Qwee-beck to enjoy the crap out of confederation, and permit billions of dollars of top ups onto their per capita reciepts.
Voters out west are too dim - inasmuch as they elect a faux con government that abandons any pretense to conservatism when needed.
And before any of the frauds in here sputters on - you think about the Afghanistan abandonment before you say a word to me about your 'conservatism'. And the 'conservatism' of the frauds in our 'Conservative' government.

"The first signs of the PDO’s impacts may already be occurring as satellite measurements of lower tropospheric temperatures derived by the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and Remote Sensing System (RSS) show no temperature increases since 2002, and in fact show a slight cooling trend.
With solar activity at a 100 year minimum and the PDO expected to remain negative for several decades, the cooling trend may persist. If it does, an inconvenient truth about climate change may emerge."

OTTAWA – Industry Minister Tony Clement expressed hope today of a deal to save Chrysler Canada amid reports that the key elements of a bailout package are falling into place
WASHINGTON - U.S. President Barack Obama expressed uncertainty Wednesday that a deal can be struck to prevent bankruptcy for Chrysler while Canada's industry minister said an agreement to remake the automaker was close.
Maybe they'll combine GM & Chrysler and call it 'taxpayer financed moral hazard boondoggle'.
