Too funny and too true...life is a job and I might add if it's worth doing it's worth doing right.... and efficiently.

Physics and all that.

Damn , iggy must have been feeling left out when Obama had his picture taken with Stephen Harper . This is like some kind of penis envy.

I was a big fan of Guido way back when he was making the rounds. I always wondered why he faded. He is more relevant now than ever.

He did a lot more skits than are available on You Tube. Now I am going to try to source them out.

Thanks for tugging my memory banks, humor division.

Hey there Knight, unbelievable photos !!

cantuk...you beat me to it.
Unfortunately I switched channels after hockey (Yay! Wings!) to the Lloyd and Bobby show...both all smarmy and giddy about Iggypoo heading to Washington.Bobby says Iggy rates "even tho he's not Prime Minister yet" ...that's a quote.

There's an interesting video over at Jack's Newswatch and it's titled "Pushback in Britain".

http://www.jacksnewswatch.com/2009/04/21/pushback-in-britain/

It's a youtube video of fed-up British people, growing a set of balls finally by counter protesting against some imported and domestic pro-jihadists that were slagging British soldiers in the town of Luton, near London.

DEBKAfile reports on predictions of the possibility that Iran might build a nuclear bomb in as little as 60 days.

DEBKAfile's military sources cite some Western intelligence and nuclear weapons experts as predicting that Iran could turn out nuclear weapons some time in the next 12 months.

This estimate is based on Tehran's announcement that 7,000 centrifuges are in operation to enrich uranium. If all those machines were to work at top speed day and night, seven days a week, they could produce enough weapons-grade uranium to build a bomb in 60 days, say some intelligence sources. According to American experts, given the current rate of the program's development, Iran will be in a position to manufacture as many as 60 nuclear bombs and warheads in 12 to 18 months.

This judgment was confirmed by Israel's military intelligence (AMAN) chief, Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin in his latest briefing to the cabinet Monday, April 20. He reported that Iran is going all-out for enriched uranium from overseas to shorten the process.

I think you'll all get a kick out of this L.A. based discussion blog.

It's not a political blog per say and thus has a wide spectrum of people with all kinds of views.

What's crystal clear though is that those on the Left are still in DEEP DENIAL that there's a severe left-leaning bias in the MSM.

More CNN trouble: (video at link)

A Christian Pastor was assaulted and "arrested" by CNN security guards for preaching and passing out Christian literature on what he believes to be a public sidewalk outside CNN headquarters in Atlanta. A civil lawsuit has been launched by the Pastor, but so far no criminal charges have been laid against the security guard for the assault.

Holy Cow! Charles Osgood, a skeptic?

A QUIET SUN DOESN’T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT.

excerpts:

I know you’ve already got a lot to worry about as it is, but something rather odd is going on — on the Sun.

The Sun normally undergoes an 11-year cycle of activity— and last year, it was supposed to have heated up — and, at its peak, would have a tumultuous boiling atmosphere, spitting out flares and huge chunks of super-hot gas.

Instead, it hit a 50-year low in solar wind pressure, a 55-year low in radio emissions, and a 100-year low in sunspot activity. Right now, the sun is the dimmest it’s been in nearly a century."

The Dutch [like yours truly] know all too well that when water is allowed to start seeping into a dike, just a mere trickle at first and most often barely noticeable, it is only a matter of time before the whole structure is breached.

George Will [Washington Post], Tierny [NYT] and even Revkin [NYT] those days his head is turned the right way and now Osgood at CBS…. The Daily Telegraph in the UK, The Australian down under and the list is growing. Unless Gore, Hansen, RC and the Hockey Team show up with a really serious load of sandbags, they’ll all be bobbing around in row boats sometime soon.

And before I forget, it seems that French president Sarkozy has in mind to name Allegre - a highly regarded scientist and one of the original “Warmist-Alarmists” turned profound skeptic - as his new Minister of the Environment….

The Obama/Chu/EPA team are turning “man-made global warming/climate change” square dance into a pretzel I’m afraid."

And so it begins:

"The Spanish governmenthas prepared measures to help the country's press industry, where thousands have been laid off due to the economic crisis, a journalists' association said yesterday. The measures, which were not revealed, may involve direct aid to the sector as well as expanded access to state credit, the Fderation of Journalist Associations in Spain (FAPE) said." Here is something that should generate a lot of letters. Mountain Equipment COOP is having their annual meeting and the leftist, are there any other kind, BC Teachers for Peace and Global Education want them to stop buying anything from Israel. MEC is a great store and I hope this resolution is killed or they will lose a lot of customers like me. Is there no end to these commie turds?

And we wonder why the core subjects of our educational system, like math and science, are being ignored while every social cause is being pushed onto the kids. Just look at the failing grade of our schools here in the GTA as denoted by the Fraser Institute.

Suspicious!

Freddie Mac acting CFO found dead in apparent suicide
28 mins ago
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – David Kellermann, acting chief financial officer of mortgage giant Freddie Mac, was found dead on Wednesday in his suburban Virginia home, a Fairfax County police spokeswoman said.

Police were called at 4:48 a.m. EDT to Reston, Virginia, spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell told Reuters.

Local media reported that Kellermann's wife called in an apparent suicide, but Caldwell did not elaborate on the cause of death.

The incident is "under investigation," she said.

According to Freddie Mac's website, Kellermann, 41, was with Freddie Mac for more than 16 years and named acting CFO in September.

Freddie Mac and rival mortgage finance company Fannie Mae were taken over by the U.S. government last year as mounting losses on housing investments weakened their balance sheets and played a role in the U.S. housing and global credit crisis.

Came crashing through the window....

Ahh, those feel-good policies...just...feel....so good....

In the U.S. they are having mass Tea Parties to protest socialism, Big Govt and high taxes.

In England, White English people!! are marching in the streets about Multiculturialism and Bad Govt.

In Canada, we have more sternly worded letters to the editor, vague resolutions to locate testicles and sincere resolve to rise to one knee on occasion.

In Canada, Garafalo would have her own show , be immensely popular and dine regularly with fellow Order of Canada likelys Peter, Paul, Lloyd and Andrew.

In Canada, Ignatieff could return from Washington
with a complete Obama face transplant (it could happen)and McMillan, Shaidle and Levant would be the only ones to point it out. Although Wells, non-partisan as he is, would note that Harper was recently been suspiciously pale.

In Canada, motto.. Peace, Order and Good Government, the Truth is harder to find than a Liberal with his hands in his own pocket.

I've put together a pair of videos with the audio from Dennis Prager's show yesterday. The subject at hand is what happened to Miss California recently.

Whether or not you support gay marriage, shouldn't those who don't be allowed to express their opinions? Or is everyone who disagrees with gay marriage the New Racist?!

The growing Intolerance of the Left is very disturbing!

Add this to the list of reasons to homeschool your child:

This:
The company has been told to expect, in an unprecedented move, the Israeli motion at its April 30 meeting, said Tim Southam, MEC's public affairs manager.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20090422.wmec22/BNStory/National/home?cid=al_gam_mostview

“Our understanding is there will be a motion brought forward by someone who is obviously concerned by our sourcing from Israel,” he said. It's not clear who will introduce the resolution, but such a move is supported by one small peace association, BC Teachers for Peace and Global Education, which pushed for such a move in February.

Canadian special forces from Petawawa helped train the Jamaican team that stormed a hijacked airliner in Montego Bay on Monday and captured a mentally troubled gunman without firing a shot.

The Canadian Special Operations Regiment (CSOR) has had a small team in Jamaica over the last several months conducting training as part of a joint counter-terrorism program with that country.”

“CSOR was part of a significant expansion in 2006 of Canada’s special forces capabilities. That year Canadian Special Operations Forces Command was created to oversee JTF2, CSOR, the 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron at Petawawa and the Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit at Trenton.”

Robert W. In Canada a case of discrimination heard before the Supremes decided it was impossible to discriminate against white males. I don't recall much but it was a civil service case that the plaintiff was overwhelmingly more qualified.

Speedy, you'll then be very interested to read about this case.

Q: How do you know you're getting bad advice from Elizabeth May?

A: Whenever she opens her mouth.

I just heard her on the radio telling all British Columbians that we must vote 'Yes' in the upcoming STV referendum (which would change our voting system forever). Now I'm absolutely convinced to vote 'No'.

"WUWT Poll: What should we call the current solar minimum?

Although we’ve been covering this quiet sun issue for over a year on WUWT, the light bulb seems to have gone on for mainstream media right about now.

There is growing press coverage about the current state of the sun, most recently from Charles Osgood of CBS News as well as the BBC and other major outlets. While the sun slumbers deeper and has missed its cyclic snooze alarm, our media is finally waking up to the solar somnolence.

Here is a short roundup of news articles on this subject today:

‘Still Sun’ baffling astronomers

Scientists warn sun has dimmed

Sun ‘at its quietest for 100 years’

Has the sun gone in? Earth’s closest star ‘dimmest it’s been for a century’

So the question arises, now that this has been identified, what should we call it?

There have been some good ideas, such as naming it after Jack Eddy, who coined the phrase “Maunder Minimum“. There’s been some discussion of a “Gore Minimum”, but I don’t like the idea of giving Gore credit for something he has nothing to do with, or even likely understands. There’s been suggestion of “The Hansen Minimum” which makes a little more sense, since he’s an astronomer by training. On that note, Leif Svalgaard predicted this, so maybe it should be his honor.

So, I’ve decided to have a poll, and I’ll take suggestions for other names than what I’ve listed."
