At least the current global financial "crisis" appears to have some silver lining. Who in their right mind would lend a "news" organization like this operating funds to keep doing what they're doing?

Much has been said about the "readers/viewers" (news consumers) being the product and advertisers being the real customer. Looks like many are saying FOAD to those who are selling us, and for good reason.

Listen the Liberal Media spread the lies that these protests were co-ordinated and sponsored by Fox News and when that did not stick they then tried to tie them to the GOP. While some Republicans were invited to speak, (apparently the Democrats were too busy spending our money to attend), I counter that attendance and some promotion does not make a political rally out of a legitimate protest anymore than we can call Hansen attended anti-coal rallies sponsored by NASA.

Liberals better take notice of these events because I am sure this is not over as Bride of Stimulus is starting to be pushed about the halls of congress.

I also like how MSM tried to make these rallies about taxes or specifically Obama tax policy, when they were really against big government and massive unfunded spending, with taxation sprinkled on top from all levels of Government, Municipal, State, Property, Fees, Excise taxes et al. not just Federal Income Tax.

God Speed all of you fine Americans who are attending tea parties in the spirit of the patriots who founded the Republic of United States of America. I saw one sign that said "If America Fails, Freedom dies"; I know this to be true as there is no other free nation on the planet that can stand up to the big bully fleshy Dictatorships. I am a Canadian who has always known that I live next door to a friend; a friend who protects my country along with it's own and even when we have elected ignorant, obnoxious, childish Prime Ministers who could not get over an inferiority complex that let them to try to ridicule the Americans. I have always considered myself much more American in mindset than I consider myself a part of Eastern Canada, I am a Western Canadian who identifies with the mid west of Canada and USA. I have always lived less than 100 miles of an American border so I always felt that if things got really bad here (as they were during the dark Liberano years) I had a sanctuary to run to...now I am worried about my friends in the sanctuary! We finally mopped up our mess and got rid of most of the crooks in our Federal gov't and out next door neighbours elect a stranger who has tax cheats and Communists etc running the government. I am with all of you who care in spirit and I want all of you patriots who believe in freedom to know that Western Canada would welcome you if you need a sanctuary. We are of the same ilk. God Bless you and keep you safe, all you brave freedom fighters in America.

I watched Fox News all day so i actually saw what went on; excellent coverage.

I think that Canadians should stage a 'piece of paper' Day (reminiscent of J. Crouton with his 'receipt' and N. Chamberlain with his non aggression agreement with Hitler; demanding all the Adscam and other millions of $$ stolen from us by the Liberano gang. This nation could use that money right now.

Add those rating-viewership numbers to the numbers of those actually at the Tea Parties and you have the reason that the MSM and the liberals are very, very frightened of this movement.

They will try blunt the reality any way they can. I doubt that they anticipate a backlash but it could break their neck.

The dolts in the MSM will not get a clue until they are standing in the unemployment line.

FOX news has become the defacto conservative voice in the US by default.

In Canada there is no single corporate media outlet having the same overall conservative voice as FOX, for example.

Quebecor sputters here and there, National Post makes half assed attempts, but for an out and out conservative heart and soul media organization . . . NADA!! EL ZIPPO! None in Canada!!

All leftists all the time just exactly like in the USA, FOX excepted.

Pity FOX does not have Canadian presence.

If the end result, socialism, and possibly worse, is not visible to the average citizen by now they are not informed. There is lots of real Tea Party coverage on the internet. It was a joy to behold.

I hear July 4th may be the next big turnout by the real Americans and freedom lovers.

You guys have got to stop buying into our enemies talking points. As long as these protests are spontaneous and local they are no threat to the left. There would have been nothing wrong if the GOP had been involved in organizing these events, and in fact the question that should be being asked is “why were they not involved”. If they can’t or won’t lead then we need a national party that will. Come on folks this is serious, we could lose everything. I saw several pictures of people at these tea parties across our nation, and they still don’t get it. These people don’t really believe that their lives are on the line, and that they should be MAD AS HELL.

The tea parties are as much about the GOP as the DemocRats Dale. That's what has the MSM dorks spooked. Their whole big government thing is under the gun, and they are freaking out.

150k to 250k people show up spontaneously, from nothing? No big organization, no funding, no print/radio/TV advertising? No political party affiliation?

Everyone who attended those parties will be looking for media coverage. Seeing how it was/wasn't covered will make them more suspicious of the media, and turn them off. And if only 500,000 took part, and they tell someone, and that person tells someone, that is a lot of voters turned off by November 2010. These protests will not go away, and you can be sure someone is getting clips of the anti-bush rallies, signs etc and media coverage, and compare them to yesterday. The media missed a great opportunity yesterday to prove they are not lap dogs for O. And to hear some of the coverage and all the sexist jokes make them even less important. Jon/Colber were very ignorant and sickening.

I understand where you’re coming from Phantom, and the good will from where it comes, however, I must still respectfully disagree. I don’t think the other side is all that worried about a few mild protests; our side is still holding bake sales when we should be trading is our plows for swords. The problem is, I don’t think time is on our side.
