This flu (and that is all it is) is virolent but has so far had a very low mortality rate. (2000 folk die from flu or complications each year in Canada)
Most fatalities have been in Mexico....which would indicate a genetic disposition, environmental factors (eg: montezuma's revenge)such as climate/weather.
