He looks like a typical productive, company supporting, initiative taking, positive thinking auto worker. What could possibly go wrong with their pension fund?

Let me get this straight... I don't have a pension (my retirement plan is to die of a heart attack on the job), but I'm supposed to fork out extra taxes so these pampered union douches in Ontario can live the good life when they retire?

F@$K THAT.

Time for some Canadian tea parties.

Im entitled to my entitlements.

a quiz, what lieberal said that?

Sorry, I'm out of 'I don't give a damn' feeling's.
Greed from top down destroyed this utopia.

Hiding one's face behind a mask in public should be illegal ( not being a "Canadian value" ) and warrant suitable sanction.

Let's say, ten days in the local lock-up, eh?

Sean:

It's not about the money, it's about their dignity.

Shut up and pay up!

BTW, pension is a provincial jurisdiction, so it's up to Ontario taxpayers. The current pension guarantee fund was set up by none other than then-premier Bob Rae.

I loved the irony of watching Ken Lewensa (or whatever the f**k Buzz Hargrove's succesor is called) trashing Bob Rae a couple of weeks ago.

My own workplace has lost about 30% of its employees and this is how it works.

You get a call to come into the office and are told how much your buyout is. Then you look for another job.

It's no wonder more Ontarians are against a bailout than the general Canadian public. They're more tired of these entitled a**holes than we are.

The Jihad Geratall Brigade descends on Queens Park

Boy these guys had it good. All those paid sick days and paid vacations huge salaries and other perks. Those huge pensions were going to allow them escape those cold harsh winters whilst they spent their time playing lawn ball some where in Arizona.
Now they are confined to a small glommy apartment sitting in front of the tube watching Bob Parker reruns on the Price is Right with the furnace kicking in every twenty minutes.

what lieberal said that?

Dingwall , now where's my prize .

> It's not about the money, it's
> about their dignity.

And how much dignity are they going to have left after they get cornholed with a fistful of teabags?!?

On second thought, If I photograph that I could win a Governor General's award. That kind of stuff worked for Istvan Kantor, didn't it?

> so it's up to Ontario taxpayers

The Ontario taxpayers currently receiving equalization $$$ from Alberta and various other less dysfunctional provinces?!?

What's a pension?

I thought they all do.

"What's a pension?"

Isn't it a sort of bed 'n breakfast in Spain?

Socialist TO Mayor Miller sends union jobs from Ontario to "Montreal-based Bombardier" for distribution.

CAW. CAW. CAW.

CAW will now take its bananas to protest at TO City Hall. BTW, where are BuzzCAW and Taliban Jack and Iggy?
...-

"TTC picks Bombardier
Toronto Star - ‎4 hours ago‎
In a move bound to have Thunder Bay residents cheering today, the TTC has chosen Montreal-based Bombardier for its billion-dolllar streetcar contract."

listening to rutherford this morning.

I think every senior is on the entitlement bandwagon. you cant charge an old folk a nickle.
my own mother is one of them, if she had her way she would pile her money into a room and jump into it like scrooge mcduck only surfacing for handouts.

Look at the guys' face - waaay too old for the dangerous bandanna covered protester shtick, anarchy now! eh,gramps?

I took a risk a long time ago when I decided to be self-employed all my working life. I risked that I would earn enough and be smart enough to save enough so that I could have enough to take care of myself well enough to enjoy the few remaining years of my life without working my ancient ass directly from workplace into the dirt.

CAW Canadian Auto Wreckers Union, took the risk that someone would do it for them.

Here's my nah nah to them.

If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Ever heard that one before, fool?

Self-reliance is the only way to live your life. Any other way is to have faith in others.

As Samuel Clemens rightly stated long ago, "Faith is believing in something you know ain't true"

I commented last year that it's been my observation that the "latte left" have been turning thier noses up at American cars for over a decade.

Bill d Cat -- I am pretty sure he changed his name to David f*****g Dingwall.

Sort of on topic - It looks like GM's pulling the plug on Pontiac.

CAW, isn't that the sound crows make, and will this union soon have to eat crow. Still waiting to get an answer to the question, have union leaders taken a pay or perk cut. They are only worried that fewer members means fewer dues to continue the high life.

The autoworker's pension issue is just the tip of the iceberg. Just wait until the province of Ontario, the counties, cities and towns start having to pay for the pensions coming due.

It is not possible to service all of these entitlements without a massive tax increase.

With the plunge in corporate tax receipts, and the inevitable economic decline yet to come(what happens when the pogie runs out for all of these layed off workers?)where is this money going to come from?

If Ontario does not elect a hard right wing government in the next election, the province is doomed!

Oh my, the irony of this photo is so thick. He's just dressed like his younger comrades who are constantly marching against global business (and often stacked full of union members too). Yet without such business, where would the money come from to pay the wages & pensions of these autoworkers?

Might it be possible that some on the Left just don't understand basic economics???

Kingstonlad said "If Ontario does not elect a hard right wing government in the next election, the province is doomed!"

Get ready for more of those "Days of Action" only this time they have the Jihadists on their side as well. I can hear it now.

hey hey ho ho. Stephen Harpers got to go.
hey hey ho ho. Kill the Juice.

I have to agree with an earlier poster who pointed out residents of Ontario are angrier than anyone else about these losers.
In southern Ontario we spent our lives listening to them run their mouths about their income, and worse, about how little they did to get it. When i was young it was all about how much they made, a decade later I listened to them talk about how it wasn't enough to raise a family (really!) and now it's all about providing for their retirement. Seriously, once and for all, what a bunch of whining losers.
BTW, most auto towns are near the United States border and CAW types spent years shopping for cheaper american goods and groceries, not supporting local merchants or businesses. And now it's all about helping them...

As a little boy back in Saskatchewan, I used to have a red paisley bandanna I would put over my nose and mouth when I played "Bad Cowboy", imitating the ones in the movies and on TV...

Today the "Bad Cowboys" with the face-covering bandannas appear to be unionized workers. What kid wants to pretend to be a unionized worker, holding a silly picket sign in one hand and a Tim's coffee in the other?

Retirement plan! How about door greeter at Walmart - the bandanna should come in handy when they are exposed to real people raising a family and living on a budget. No more holidays in sunny Florida.

Retirement plan! How about door greeter at Walmart - the bandanna should come in handy when they are exposed to real people raising a family, living on a budget and seniors on a fixed income. No more holidays in sunny Florida for the CAW.

They are not loosing their pensions.
The CAW is playing this to the hilt.
In reality they get the pension funds in one lump sum,do what you wish with it.
Like the rest of the world!

loosing = less tight

losing = opposite of winning

My response to the idiot with the bandana:

"Hey, wanker, give me a pension".

poor union dears, losing their pensions, and they have NO work skills, as they never had to work!!!!!

He needs the bandanna to hide his Florida tan picked up during needed winter break after thanksgiving!

> Im entitled to my entitlements...a quiz, what lieberal said that?

Here's a quiz: which liberal didn't say that?

CAW gave up $19 an hour in benefits. 2040 hours in a working year = $38,760 a year. $35 an hour wage same work year = $71,400. And ole' Kenny is wondering why the Canadian public is bashing the CAW and their elitist membership. They just do not have the brain power to understand why the taxpayer is upset.

Let them all go bankrupt and start anew. Greedy SOB's.

I forgot about the 100% company funded pension. No bailout for you! Let them go broke and start anew.

Re: "CAW Canadian Auto Wreckers Union, took the risk that someone would do it for them." Like others, I have little sympathy for the CAW workers who have all along been exploiting their position as unionized workers to get freebies (like pensions with no deductions from them.) There is no grounds on which it would be legitimate for Ontario taxpayers to bail them out. They will get CPP and old age security like everyone else. For the rest, maybe they can get part-time jobs at McDonalds. That's how lots of people live.

Robert W.: "Might it be possible that some on the Left just don't understand basic economics???" You have hit the nail on the head!

Sorry ... out of money in the west. Time for Jihad Sam to pay his own bills.

Wouldn't it have been more fitting for the old fart to wear a belaclava? He is trying to rob all of us hard-working taxpayers, after all. I am also self-employed, putting my own money away for use later in life. Why should the rest of us be funding the short-sightedness of those greedy b@stards?

GYM; When you said, "poor union dears, losing their pensions, and they have NO work skills, as they never had to work!!!!!" how did you come to that conclusion? Did you ever work in the auto industry? I'll bet you didn't.

Ok this is good, so what is management giving up?

I don't want to be reading in the next few months about executives reaping big bonus for a failed company like what we have herd from the other bailed out companies.

What's going around comes around. Remember when their rallying cry for increased benefits was "if Joe lunch bucket can't afford a new vehicle, let them buy a used one.

It's ludicrous what these entitled misfits demand, and get paid, for putting bolts in holes and making them tight.......ridiculous! How much training and education did that take?
