Like a CNN reporter scorned...
Roesgen got snippy with a crazy interviewee while trying to cover the tea partiers, and the crowd turned on her. "I think you get the general tenor of this," she said. "It's anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox."
Back in 2005, though, according to a Fox News source, Roesgen really wanted to work for that right-wing conservative network. She sent a tape of her on-air work to Fox's then-programming chief Kevin Magee in January 2005, and followed up with another reel to Magee's successor Bill Shine in September 2005. Needless to say, she didn't get the gig.

""It's anti-government, anti-CNN"
....like as it the two are synonimous...pffffttt what a silly bolshy douche....and then she gets personal with the protesters and complains when they return the personal insults.
She tells viewers this is not for family viewing and she just finished interviewing a father with a 2 year old in his arms....get the pink slip ready.
O/t picture of the year .
Interesting.
What, is she mad that she didn't get hired? Did they find her too weird, too stupid?
Whatever... that teabagger ain't got a lump of credibility sugar.
That 'crazy' interviewee was anything but crazy. He was a normal dad with his kit on his shoulders making the case that his kid's future was now to be bankrupt his whole life paying off the Leftist inspired debt. She came across as the crazy one.
Fox News knows who to hire and who is too crazy to be trusted with their reputation.
This is now a civil war without the shooting. ... yet.
Surprising that CBC hasn't snapped her up!
Bill D Cat,
Great pic. I saw that knowing look on both of their faces. The both know that they are the same.
Comrades, these kulaks are inciting anti-Soviet hysteria. These wreckers and hooligans must be met with socialist justice. To the gulag !!!
It's still somewhat shocking to see the depths that the press has fallen to in this day and age. No longer are they to be neutral observers of goings on, now the credo is propaganda and bias.
Just saw on Anews Victoria, their propaganda pieces headlining the news, with the BC election. First story was about tax credits to the film industry being the same for Vancouver and Victoria, with Vic having fewer films going than Van, and trying to blame the tax credits (not there's any recessions going on out there), and of course, there's Rob the Dipper Fleming promising to change it 'overnight'....of course, he'll say anything to get elected, he's never had a real job ever.
Second story, of course, it's the BCTF whining and snivelling it's usual diatribe, with nary a question from 'objective' reporter Shachi Kurl, who's never found a Dipper she didn't like......
This is what MSM 'news' has come down to, unchallenged lefty propaganda
One weapon to fight back with is blog postings like this one. Expose the past histories of these journalists. Hold them PERSONALLY accountable for their actions and embarrass & humiliate them PERSONALLY.
Complain about the press if you want to, but I'll bet it hurts them more when you nail them individually.
"No longer are they to be neutral observers of goings on, now the credo is propaganda and bias."
Let's not be too hasty. It's also possible that they are cowards and just reading from the leftist talking points script (as passed down to them and being afraid for their jobs), self-deluded by their own perceived "famous celebrity status", support-the-underdog-at-all-costs crusading or just plain dumb as a post.
It's sad to see that that MSM journalism seems to have descended into a comfortable regurgitating of that which they deem to be controversy-immune ("right-wingers" are BAD), hugely important ("saving the planet") and conveniently ignoring anything that doesn't match their template.
They're probably just out of their league when it comes to interpreting and reporting the events of the real world in a factual manner and too easily tilted by those who wish to manipulate them.
Or maybe it really is propaganda and bias.
I agree that it's very hard to know what was "crazy" about the interviewee. He may have been trying to talk over the noise thereby sounding a bit shrill, but it seemed he was trying to make a point and the "interviewer" just kept cutting him off and trying to shout him down while ignoring the very obvious point of the protest -- i.e. the people of Illinois won't be getting "federal" money, they'll be getting money from other taxpayers as well as their own money recycled back to themselves minus the bureaucratic premium. The reporter was obviously too thick to appreciate the irony of her own comments.
After that it was all lefty propaganda -- innuendo and loaded terms without a shred of fact to back up any of it -- pathetic.
Here's a more accurate video of the Chicago Tea Party. It's long but well edited. Its creator wants Susan Roesgen's job. Frankly, I think he'd do a much better job than her!
Robert...thanks for that vid. It gives me hope for America.
Kate, you also might point out that while she was trashing the Tea-Partier with the Obama-Fascist sign, she referred to a Bush mask with horns and Hitler mustache as a "look-alike"
Michelle Malkin is all over this whack-job reporter.
http://michellemalkin.com/2009/04/16/cnn-beclowns-itself/
Miss Roesgen also said in that confrontation with the Tea Partyers "Obviously not for family viewing"
What a whacked out leftist pundit posing as a Journalist. My God!
PS: Fox is also airing a video taken by a by-stander while Rosegan was getting the you-kknow-what from another female Tea Partyer. Worth catching.
Jim R.. That video is on foundingbloggers.com now.
"Hugo Chavez let out a relived smile when he realized Obama's "I got your thumb" joke was just an optical illusion"
Two socialists smiling at each other is really creepy. Almost pedo-smile creepy.
This is priceless, the dribbling of stupidity just makes it better:
