Is there nothing that Obama don't know?

Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and Air Force One to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public.

In a memo obtained by CBS 2 HD the Federal Aviation Administration's James Johnston said the agency was aware of "the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes" in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor's office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out.

Bingo!

The people who populate the Obama administration really don’t believe in 9/11. They may have read about it, They may know intellectually that it happened. But they view it the same way we may view a lightning strike that hits an isolated golfer: a billion-in-one shot that “just happened.” That’s why the Obama team is renaming the attacks of 9/11 as “man-caused disasters” putting it on the same moral plane as an auto wreck. That’s why the Obama team is not really concerned about revealing what we do to interrogate prisoners with vital information. They don’t believe we haven anything to worry about. Unlike the people who evacuated their buildings during the fly-bys and who ran for their lives, believing that they were under another attack. For Team Obama, it’s always 9/10.

Plus, who was holding the camera?

Why is it folks have to get badly hurt before they
wake up and smell the roses. Next he will invent the words, "peace in our time".
Sad times in this demented old world, eh!

Who's holding the camera?

Why it's Cotton Eyed Joe.

Gotta disagree, Kate. They know about 9/11. They just don't -care- about it. They are happy to risk the lives of the stupid peasants for a nice photo op of their new shiny plane. Couple old ladies get squashed to death in a stairwell, couple fat guys have heart attacks evacuating the building? Its OK!

Nobody _important_ got hurt, eh? Relax!

Hey, that rookie's got a near 80% approval rating and a filibuster-proof majority!

The question I have is Is BO upset because of the furor and bad PR it caused or because he immediately realized that such a site would really upset new yorkers in a post 9/11 world?

I wish we had footage of the moment he was informed ...

By the way, I have to say I just LOVE the way the MSM dinks are helping The One blame some Peter Principled doofus in his office for this. And the FAA. And a coup[le more people. But not The One In Charge.

I mean, its Bary's plane now. Bary knows where it is and what its doing. How stupid would we all have to be to believe Bary didn't sign off on this cluster f-?

These people are arrogant. Like capital "A" Arrogant. You think this was bad, you wait and see the crap they are going to pull with the Fairness Doctrine and gun control. Its going to be 1933 all the way, baby.

I got ten bucks says Rush Limbaugh is in jail or flees the country before November 2010.

The "buck stops here" thing is laughable. Better that it said "the straw dog left this here".

What is so amazing is that this whole administration seems to be filled with rookies, amateurs, and misfits

From poor gift selection, to strange protocol choices, to questionable decisions, and the seeming disdain for his predecessor - well, I don't think that things have gone swimmingly so far.

And the truman artifact is so typical the guy has no trappings of his own - he projects himself using other president's legacies. An empty suit - just one hollow gesture after another.

Sooner or later he and we will pay for such folly.

Yes bleet, propaganda can be a pretty wonderful thing eh? Amazing what you can do when all the major media is in your pocket.

Some of you should grab your glasses. The sign says "the buck stops there"

Is that a desk-mounted telepromter he's reading from while he's on the phone?

Sorry Kate I'm using my iPhone so the graphic is pretty small.

Kinda reminiscent of the old DDR where the Rusky Migs used to pop the sound barrier over populated areas to keep the citizenry cowed.
I can hardly wait for the last 10 days.

Wow! I didn't think Canadians followed American politics. So happy to find you. And yes, Obama without his teleprompter, see how well that goes! Wouldn't it be nice to find out just who is behind the curtain, pulling his strings??? George Soros? The Saudis? The Russians? (with is Csars and Commisars, etc.), food for thought.

The sign sez, "the buck stops there" with the finger pointing thattaway.

80% bleat? I read 56% today, and that's it's the second worst for a new president at the 100-day mark. The worst was Clinton around the time of the Waco travesty.

Bingo! alright Kate. The Phantom: I believe "knowing" is used here in the metaphorical sense, as in: understanding it. Remember Steyn made a similar observation that 9/11 was being portrayed as some kind of gigantic accident ... tragedy. Something that happened, some kind of natural disaster.

Wow! I didn't think Canadians followed American politics. So happy to find you. And yes, Obama without his teleprompter, you see how well that does! Couldn't think on his feet if his life depended on it. Wouldn't it be nice to find out just who is behind the curtain, pulling his strings??? George Soros? The Saudis? The Russians? (with is Csars and Commisars, etc.), food for thought.

Dhimmi:

According to the Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll, you are bang-on.

Today's results show a 56% approval rating – once again proving bleet never lets the facts stand in the way of any of his statements.

First, it was a demonstrable lack of moral compass in the lesser of two evils debate on protecting America and now the BS of a fantasy approval rating number.

Wait until people figure out that the money GM bondholders put up is worth only one-twelfth of UAW money. Private interests, including retirement funds of many pensioners totalled $27 billion and Obama deemed that was worth 10% of the company. Meanwhile, the UAW held $10 billion in GM bonds and Obama decreed those shares are worth 39% of the company.

And, today, the UAW now owns 55% of Chrysler because Obama just gave it to them.

Lovely country you have there, Margarita. Can we call it the USSA?

America is screwed. (I may be repeating myself)

Come now, can't the Obama have his own little jihad on the people of NYC?
This wonderkind put the federal cone of silence on his little photo shoot, not knowing the effect this would have, including disturbing the Mayor?
Want to buy some unused land in the Alberta badlands?
If this guy was a Muslim this would fit. Terror to his enemmies. America.
JMO

Think the 80% approval came from BO-jr.
But anyways at least he's now putting off Big decisions like 'climate change' until he's less pressured or gets an upgrade for the TOTUS.

Van Hollen: Climate bill could wait

Wonder if Pelosi will do that rapid blinking thingy again?

It was an inside job.

c'mon... we're talkin' real bang for your taxpayer buck...

"The flight by the VC-25, a modified Boeing Co. 747,
and two F-16 fighter jets cost $328,835, Air Force
spokeswoman Vicki Stein said."

Obama doesn't want to end the planet. He just wants to make it small enough to drown in an acid bath of Neptunian pain water.

Obame hidden mike: Earth girls are Easy!

I know, sure as God made little green apples, that if I caused a panic, people left their desks, maybe somebody got hurt or products got damaged, there'd be a cop to arrest me of disturbing the peace to start with and then they'd go to town from there.

The empty suit is a scarey dude. This friggin' maniac is going to pull some really nasty stuff before he done.

I wonder if Obama sat and read a book about a turtle as this danger continued.

Were you guys as mad at Bush when the real thing happened?

Dont look now another Republibot has left the sinking ship.

"Were you guys as mad at Bush when the real thing happened?"

You mean Air Force One flew into the twin towers?
Ya friggen idiot.

what the hell did anyone expect from a half black african marxist?

GOOD G*D ... Obama's moral compass (wha' dat?) is all over the map ... there ain't no True North on it, or True Anything.

He scares the H*ll out of me, he's so vacant, stumbling in the dark, doesn't know what he's doing but likes to come across as though he's IN CHARGE.

These kinds of guys are the really dangerous ones, because they'll do anything to cover up their ignorance and stupidity. Obama's merely a puppet in others' hands and his arrogance, a blind behind which to hide his appalling vacuity.

'Prayer time, folks. This dude's a DISASTER.

(BTW, I noticed the "THERE" on the desk sign, and didn't know whether to laugh or cry ...)

Get ready . . .!

With virtually no accountability for any kind of wrong doing in our society these days, especially if one belongs to a favoured group, Obama's the “Whatever” end result.

It starts early: no consequences for anti-social to criminal behaviour in the public schools. "Hug a thug" and "tarnish [if not varnish] the teacher" are the new philosophy—as in since the sixties hippies took over. Is there any surprise that "thou shalt make the lives of captured terrorists cozy and comfortable"?

I watched Obama when he responded to the fly-over: surreal—and very scary. This man behaves like a sociopath: no affect. He was joshing and laughing with people in the room and only downgraded his laughing to a smirk: “Hey, guys, don’t worry. It was a mistake. ’Won’t happen again,” as if he'd forgotten to take out the garbage or something. No sense of gravitas, no sense of regret, no sense of the huge inappropriateness of what had happened. This rObamaton is an arrogant and dangerous man.

As many here have pointed out, things are not at all as bad as we thought they’d be when the Big Owe got hold of the reins of the USA: they’re infinitely worse. The USSA: excellent!

I knew things were pretty crazy and out of whack in our society, but when I see that, despite his administration’s serial, whacko behaviour, Obama’s approval ratings are still high, a feeling of despair begins to creep in: people are so brain dead—as in don’t bother to pay attention to reality—and/or so brainwashed, they’re willing to be totally duped.

As I said, “Get ready . . .!”

Maybe someone wanted a picture of Air Force One---i.e., the current administration---on a collision course with Liberty.

Photo-op makes no sense. Find out who was on the plane.

Erik said. "What is so amazing is that this whole administration seems to be filled with rookies, amateurs, and misfits"

It reminds me of the Bob Rae government in Ontario. All these activists, social engineers, unions, special interest groups and just plain thieves suddenly went from being in the shadows to being in control. They never though or cared about what problems their actions would cause. They just lived in the moment.

I wonder what this photo opportunity is actually for ? Is it for a forthcoming instance of propaganda ? Did the effect of freaking out the New Yorkers actually ruin any evil plans ? While some right this off as an ignorant mistake, I think the risk was calculated and deemed necessary for the purpose of these photo's. I can't help but think that there is some sinister usage for these photos in the future.

Americans can thank the likes of the fat ass Operah and poofter Geffen in part for this abberation for president. The stupid and uninformed came out to vote because of that Operah and her Jerry Springer show pumping this communist fool and Shazam! Get the dullards in the MSM to parrot your tingle factor and Zap! your pres. I pity you Americans, you used to be free and I like coming down for holidays, but will be soon screened at customs for my personal political views?

Notice Obama's reaction - he said he was furious at this 'stunt'. But wait - he knew about it; it wasn't a decision taken just by the pilots and camera crew.

Remember Obama's reaction to the public anger over the AIG bonuses? Again, he went on public media to say that he too, was furious. But - he knew about it; his administration had written in these bonuses and approved them.

So, this is a pattern. Obama never, ever, takes responsibility. He always blames others. Right now, he's embarked on a massive Bash Bush campaign to denigrate any questions and dissent about him.

Is he a sociopath? Hmm - near to it. He's pathological, as a narcissist, and that can get close to the sociopath's nature.

Find out who was on the plane.

Indeed , bunch of big campaign donors ?

First premise: 9/11 was America's fault. It got what it deserved, because mean, greedy Republicans treated the world badly, especially swarthy people.

Second premise: the most ethical party ever is now in charge, is apologizing everywhere it can for being so mean and greedy for all these years - so it will never happen again, because The Party Of Love is in charge.

Before the election, everything was George Bush's fault.

Now, everything's Obama's fault.

On group of extremist morons replaced by another.

If Obama was really sorry, he'd fire everyone in his team that was involved.

I think his theya culpa tour was a big hit.

bleet and right of center...you're feeling pretty proud and smug now aren't you. Feeling pretty cocky. Just wait you assholes. That smug look will be wiped right off those pimply faces of yours one day. Reality is a bitch.

It should say The buck stops way over there somewhere.

set you free, it IS Obama's fault. He's the officer in charge. By definition he's responsible when one of his guys screws up. That's what being in charge means.

If he had any class at all, or even the tiniest bit of military training, he'd take the responsibility that's his and wear it.

Like Bush did.

Notice the change in the reporting though? Imagine George Bush's White House trying to blame this on some lower level knob. "What did he know and when did he know it?!!!"

From Cold Warrior in the HotAir Green Room, a good analysis on the First 100 Days While Obama Slept on the foreign policy front:

http://hotair.com/greenroom/archives/2009/04/29/the-first-one-hundred-dayswhile-obama-slept/

bleet is a twit, I tried pressing him on everything he says, and as soon as you catch him in a fib, he just makes up a new different fib, or calls you a liar. It was fun for a while, but ultimately, he is one of your more boring trolls.

Read on a photoshopped pic of Obama and the plane incident over NYC.

"Price for getting your Congress buddies to ridicule car company CEOs for flying in on company jets? $0.00"

And then he flies the granddaddy of them all for a junket. Incredible.

IMO, the whole world should have clued in when, on the campaign trail, Obama confronted Joe the plumber and essentially agreed that redistribution of some of Joe's money was necessary.

I agree with gord. This is the Bob Rae nonsense all over again -- nine months to a year of party hearty followed by, "You mean this comes with a bill??!!??" The crucial difference is that Bob Rae, for all his failings, was neither stupid nor completely uncaring, and at some level seemed able to recognize that things were seriously off the rails and that innocents were getting hurt. Obama, by contrast comes across as more of a Shakespearean Richard III -- the worse things get the nastier and more deceitful he'll get and the consequences to mere underlings, especially the people of the USA, be damned. Bad times ahead!

It's the reductio ad absurdum of affirmative action.

He's an interesting man: ambitious, intelligent, decisive, and unafraid of responsibility.

But, his abysmal ignorance of the world outside of Democratic Party politics renders him utterly unqualified for his responsibilities as the President of the USA.

Lots of brilliant people are eager to help him, by his loyalty to the party hacks that put him where he is will keep them outside the door.
