It's a long weekend, it's spring, and we're finally being promised temperatures in the double digits.

I plan to get out and enjoy it, so things will be very slow here until Monday. I advise you do the same!

Have a wonderful w/e, Kate.
Enjoy that sun and warmth. I hope to get in the garden, too.
Happy Resurrection and New Life Celebration in remembrence of Christ Jesus.

Good advice Kate!

Sadly, here in my City of Woodstock, Ontario, an eight year old child has gone missing, now for the second day.
A parents worst nightmare.

OPP HELICOPTER was over the city most of yesterday along with canine team but came up empty as of this morning.
I am not up to speed on whether citizen ground search teams are being organized for today.

My hope for the family is for the safe return of this innocent child and nothing less.

Looks like the rain here is gone after three days. Time for a bike ride.

Happy Easter, Passover, etc., to all!

I'm celebrating Passover - got passed over on the Wednesday 6-49.....again. Sheeesh

Yes, Happy Easter to those that celebrate the occasion.

I'm born Catholic, non-practicing and think that this is absolutely hilarious.

Note that in the song there are no calls to kill, maim or convert.

Oh wait, I just realized that they're making fun of my religion! Where's my scimitar!?

I'll be taking that advice.

Going to see family in another province and just enjoy everything.

Happy Easter, all!

Finally it's springlike here in NB, too...

No need to think! The other side of the debate is already calibrated and prepackaged for you! Amaze your friends with your depth of knowledge on the subject.

Talking points, ready for implant available
here.

Is there nothing a Harvard Law School graduate can't do?

Joe:
There are no civilian ground search teams arranged at this time. Reason given is that police do not want any potential evidence disturbed inadvertently.

Shaken
That "how to talk to a sceptic" site is always amusing and yet appalling.
Really they rely on "hockey stick" talking points and avoid true inconvenient truths.
Re: "Was Greenland green" they neatly avoid inconvenient truths such as the discovery of the alleged remains (skeletal) of Eric near the chapel on his farm. It doesn't require a rocket scientist to conclude a much warmer period when he was buried....in that his remains were skeletal and encased in permafrost.

Happy Good Friday.

I think Jesus was the original "Rock 'n Roller" on Easter Sunday!

"The earth quaked, boulders split, tombs opened”

Just back in the house after the first paintball game in over a year. 450 people blasting away and having a blast doing it!

Rest of the weekend looks to be a reading fest. Rain, wind and cool.

ctv has a poll that needs attention.

Amen to that Hans!

And the 'rock' that was 'rolled' on resurrection morning wasn't for Him to go out, it was for people to go IN to see the empty tomb!

Lovely day here and the rest of the weekend predicted the same---warm and sunny.
Got up almost to 20C/55F.
I got the bike out and lit it up but discreation dictates waiting for at least a solid 60F----these old bones don't work well with hypothermia.

Joining Hans-Christian and bluetech:

Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh oh oh oh ...
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?

Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?
Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?
Oh oh oh oh ...
Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?

Not the end of the story ...

It is sunny! I am filling out my ballot in favor of the nomination process - probably won't get over the bar that has been set by National Council - so we will have "MP's for life" - so democracy takes a hit. I am going to go for a walk and hope that others in the Conservative Party membership realize how little things erode the Choice that the members and the voters should have! Seems we go backward at times.

I've been raking the flower beds for two days, I'm so sore I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Thankfully rain and snow in the forcast (or after cast as we refer to it) calls for three days of rain and snow.

double digit temps not seen here(north NB) since fing October. I got stuck in assdeep snow yesterday and the idiotchannel(weather) is calling for more snow on Easter sunday and monday.
Double digit balmy temps are on the way here in June, if luck has a say.

I'm going to give myself a mission this long weekend, which you may want to consider for yourselves as well:

As politely and innocently as I can, I'm going to find 3 people on the Left and ask them this pair of questions:

"You were very much against George Bush but were very supportive of Barack Obama, yes? This seemed to be the general sentiment in Europe too. Why is it then that on Obama's recent tour of Europe, he was rebuffed by all countries when it came to getting more help for the struggle in Afghanistan?"

But you get double-digit temperatures out there all the time; in fact, the minus sign is like having half a bonus extra digit!

Huge thunderstorm in Edmonton last night with lots of lightning and it's back down to 1 degree C this morning. At least it helped to clean up the streets and melted a bit of snow.

Robins finally back yesterday Apr 10.
Geese only came on Mar 29 this year vs Mar 10 in 2008.

Late spring, early fall?
Oh no.
