Ironic. Now, this pro-Jihadi "journalist" is in the same position faced by those "peace acitivists" who went to Iraq in 2003 to act as human shields for possible Iraqi targets by the Coalition.

Saddam had a group of them arrested and locked up in a jail in Mosul. After their release, they related stories of being able to hear the screams of other prisoners being tortured by Saddam's secret police.

It's not known if these "peace activists" consequently had their "moment of clarity" (as AA describes alcoholics who finally realize their sickness) and decided that there actually are evil people in the world who must be confronted and defeated by force.

Here's a pair of questions to ask of all leftist pacifists:

1. If you were captured by Al Qaeda or Taliban Jihadis and being threatened with ransom or death, who would you want to try to rescue you (choose one)?

If I recall correctly, when business people are kidnapped by leftist guerrillas in South America, they expect payment form the companies those being held work for.
So in that respect shouldn't Al Jazeera be paying the ransom? Why should my government be expected to use money collected from us to pay for someone who put their own life in danger to write stories that condemn the very people she now expects to pay for her release?

Have there been any interviews with her friends or family? That would be her friends from before her new enlightened beliefs. I'm thinking there are a lot of "I told you so's" hanging in the air right now.

I agree with Mark that if she ever does return, the chances are very good that she'll defend her captors and find some justification for their actions, simply because people hate admitting that they've made a fool of themselves. The more fanatical you are (and you can't get any more fanatical than the jihadis), the more difficulit it is to admit that your ideas were wrong and that you made a colossal error of judgment.

She is the kind of woman who falls in love with murderers and attend their trials and marries them from outside of prison and defends them from every charge of guilt forever. She was on her way to find Osama so he could love her and validate her totally empty soul. She is a sad kind of crazy.
