As an ex legionaire I take exception to those smears re the French troops. Do not confuse the commitment of the troops with their political masters.

One night in Sarejevo, two of the french lads were guarding a bridge when a large mass of serbian fighters evicted then. The reported in...the local commanders did not call Brussels, Paris or New York.....they retook the bridge within the hour---lost one man and killed 8 serbs. The serbs never messed with the french again......no french soldiers tied to telphone poles by teenagers.

The USA should just pull out of Europe than disband NATO. That way Europe has to pay for its own defense.

Green Day does the same thing, if you have ever seen concert footage of them overseas, they explicitly compare the US to Nazi Germany to thundering applause. On the other hand, I admire them for making a buck off of those audiences by giving them what they want. Obama has no such redeeming excuse.

Obama has no regard for American history, generosity or sacrifice in troubled times. Where did this man come from - and why is he so anti American? Everytime he opens his mouth he reinforces the blame America for everything attitude. How did he become President? We are headed for Armageddon and there is no pulling back.

Have we ever seen a President so desperate to be liked? Must be some kind of a personal "issue". So our celebrity President threw America under the bus to stroke his personal popularity. And for what? While the gushing media applauded, the EU, Russia, North Korea and the Muslims smiled nicely, grabbed a photo op and then, diplomatically speaking, just gave him the finger. And, Europeans still can't stand Americans.

'Too bad the Obamessiah doesn't seem to have any principles or scruples. His Performance Art shtick counts on mass popularity. I don't think it's religion that's the opiate of the masses but Obama, himself. Religion, if you're at all serious about it, makes rigourous demands on your intellectual and spiritual faculties, whereas the adoration of Obama requires only suspension of reality and a soppy belief in affirmative action.

the french lost 1.3 million troops in ww1 and just about as many troops in ww2 as the americans. you might want to google up the battle for france in WW2 which the germans nearly lost at one point...or not. shit you people are dweebs

The French during WW2 were the only ones of the Allies to fight both on the Western front and Eastern Front. Oh yeah, the French fought off the Wehrmacht at Kursk, the largest battle of WW2.

Obama approval numbers are 55-60% in every demographic cluster save the stupid demographic aka whining Bush bootlickers.

Obama is bringing about sweeping changes to energy, education, and healthcare - all long gutted by gasbags like Bush 1, crooks like Bush2, and dumb buffoons like Reagan. Get used to it guys, you are going to be moaning about this for another 50 years. FDR did this to your predecessors in the 1930s, now Obama is going to make you miserable for another 50 years. Just as thanks to FDR, no republican/conservative will dare toucch the SSA, after Obama no republican will dare touch universal healthcare. And with that the US will not only be the world's richest nation it will also join hte ranks of the less wealthy lands, that provide superior healthcare to every resident.
