An Ambassador’s Warning to the French People

Kate You will have the Human Rights Councils after you for publishing that. It's surely what Mark Steyn was saying and they went after him.

Wow, that's seriously sobering.
Would like to see this extrapolated over Europe and North America as well.

Major fatwa for the good Ambassador in 5, 4, 3...

There's a link at the bottom of the article to Alexandra Colen's article. I'm probably way behind you people, but I've never heard of her, and she sounds FANTASTIC! Europe's Mark Steyn.

I like the part where the René Servoise mentions that all this has been going on while most French citizens are unaware.

This is truly the proof that the French are indeed more stupid that we even imagined.

How could they not have noticed the Muslim influence and unrest in their country for the the past several years.

They will get what they deserve. Sadly, so will we. No one has the balls to stand up against the Islamic wave. Kudos to W Bush for killing thousands of them, but that's only a drop in the bucket.

Our children will piss on our graves for letting this happen.

Pretty scarry and probably irreversable. Is this an indication for the rest of the free world?

With our religious tolerance and immigration policy we could head down the same road , and then it is too late. In a democracy the majority rules.

Gee, I wonder if the Fwench have ever thought of rejoining NATO in case they need military help in the future?

No wait....

My main question is whether they will build minarets on all the great gothic cathedrals of France, which I think would spoil the lines of the structures, or whether they will simply use the spires as minarets and leave the structures untouched, which would be preferable. Or will they just destroy them a la Bamiyan Buddhas?

The really sad part is that it was so preventable. Strong immigration laws demanding assimilation would have stopped them in their tracks. Anyone believing in Sharia Law would have been stopped. A simple interview would suffice. "Do you think all Jews should be killed?" "Do you think women can be treated like dogs?" "Are you against free speech?"
If you answered yes to any of these questions I'm afraid you can't get into our country. You might want to try Somolia or Iran. I hear they're looking for new immigrants.

I'd be interesting to note where the majority of car.b.ques have taken place...
add some little red dots?

I think we should advocate for the take over of France by Islam, but then stop it right there.

Momar, our children have been educated in Canadian public schools, where the demand for tolerance at any costs has been inculcated. They won't know what hit them.

Geez, what can one say? We are walking into this abyss with our eyes wide open. Europe today; North America tomorrow.

STOP MUSLIM IMMIGRATION NOW! They are not like other immigrants. They do not believe in the pluralistic state because the world for them is divided into believers and infidels. And when they achieve political power, freedoms disappear and infidels become second class citizens or dead.

Oh lets just all Bow to MECCA and get it over with,we can learn from Obama how to do it gracefully.

Large immigration from predominantly Muslim countries means more Muslim people who want to practice their faith. What really matters is how many of those mosques are radical a-la Abu Hamza.

I doubt the statistic would be the same. Opposing Sharia is a duty, but opposing just mosques is not a good use of time.

Lets call this Colonialization Part II: The Revenge of the Colonies. France Britain and all made one huge mistake. In an attempt to gain moral capital for colonialization, they offered colonial subjects the right to move to the home countries. How they pay for it. Interesting fact: In the late 1940s, nearly 800 million of His Majesty's subjects could claim British citizenship. This was only rectified in the late 1950s. The entire point of the exercise was to refute the American opposition to colonialization and maintain their colonies for as long as they could. At what price? Should've just given them up and told the colonial subjects to stay put.

"My main question is whether they will build minarets on all the great gothic cathedrals of France"

The Hagia Sofia might offer some clues. I expect ugly minarets will shoot up all around. Spoil the lines? You might be tempted to bring the whole building down out of sympathy following its disfiguration.

But what can you do? Kill 'em all? I don't know how viable that is.

Civilizations come. And civilizations go. Strong aspects survive. Weak aspects disappear. Rome's Republic ideals and Greece's Democratic ideals resonate long after their civilizations have disappeared. We can only hope that our ideas and ideals are strong enough. They may disappear for a while, but they will resurface. That is one of the most important lessons that history has taught us thus far.

Assimilation is a non-starter. The children of the immigrant parents are often more radical than the parents. Arabs, or Asians or Africans, will NEVER be Frenchmen, period,no matter how many generations pass. To think otherwise is deny reality and history. Perhaps a new culture will emerge but IT WILL NOT BE FRENCH.

Europe...destroyed by design.

If that graphic were growth in a petri dish, I'd be impressed.
But clock the text that goes with it --
+
Every nation expresses itself through a subtle, delicate and secret balance between dreams, ambitions and strengths, sometimes contradictory, transcended by a common aspiration to live together and to do great things together. This national identity is for some its soul; for others its genius. Each nation is a plant nourished by a land and a History, pride in its past. "Immediate to the heart of God," it is unique and therefore justified.
How many centuries, wars, concessions, sacrifices and omissions were necessary for France, England, Spain and Germany to overcome - finally - their internal divisions and to become what they are!
If it is fitting - as Montesquieu recommends - to only touch institutions with a trembling hand, what can one say about the respect due the profound harmony of our nation, its internal composition - the measure of its permanence and of its performance?
+
These are the sort of mystagogical emissions that can be used to justify ANYTHING.
It resembles that 19th century French "political artist" Edouard Drumont.
Except he was ranting about the Judaization of France.

To whom shall we apportion blame?

Shall we blame those who decided that the penultimate state of existence is "happiness and freedom"?

Shall we blame those who decided sex without procreation is a good idea?

Shall we blame those who chose not to have children yet expect to live on into their old age drawing off their savings?

Shall we blame those who decided that no god is better than the God of our ancestors?

Shall we blame those who believe that all religions are the same and should be treated equally irrelevant?

Shall we blame those who believe that all that exits is what we can see, touch, hear, smell and taste?

Shall we blame those who insist we live only for our stomachs and gonads.

When there are no answers about eternal matters coming from our culture, answers about eternal matters shall be imported from foreign cultures.

Is there anyone here who is truly surprised?

According to the media and our public schools the war in Iraq was lost 2 years ago even though it is a great victory for Bush and Democracy. According to the media and our public schools the earth has a fever and the polar ice caps are melting even though the temperatures have declined for a decade and the ice caps are growing again. I am sure the media and the public schools in France are equally accurate about the number of un-assimilated Muslims living in their country.

Wiki has a decent animated map of the fall 2005 car burnings. The correlation to the mosque density map is informative.

Dizzy,

implicit in what you say is at the heart of the problem:

the belief that, like men, all cultures are created equal.

One cannot compare false scare tactics of a bygone era to say "see, this too is false."

Jews were used in Europe as a scapegoat. Peaceful citizens in society that were labelled as "dangerous", blamed for extraineous social ills.

Today we have essentially the opposite. A greater, and more radicalized form of Islam is spreading. One that is fundamentally different that our Judeo/Christian western values.

Burning autos, infidel "no go" zones, calls for Sharia and various other calls for justification of violence against women etc, etc, are the things of fascist propoganda of the 30's.

What is propoganda are the mindless repetitive calls that Islam is the "religion of peace" notwithstanding all objective evidence to the contrary.

Jews in the '30's weren't burning buildings and calling for the death of those who spoke against Moses.

Bat Ye'or has an insightful article on France's vision of itself as the center of a grand alliance with the Arab world:

"'After the [1962] French withdrawal from Algeria, [French President Charles] De Gaulle, who up to that point favored Israel, completely changed France’s policy toward the Arab and Muslim world. There was a convergence between France’s embrace of the Arabs and its attempt to weaken the Atlantic alliance with America. The Arabs were to give France strategic independence from the US. France’s attempt, first through the European Economic Community and now through the European Union to create a unified European foreign policy, in competition with the US and led by France, sees European alliance with the Arab world as one of the primary sources of this strategic independence.'

-------

"In a continuous flow of joint resolutions, Arab and European officials called for the diffusion of Arabic and Islamic culture in Europe through European universities. A pinnacle of these efforts, Yeor argues came during French President Jacques Chirac’s 1996 visit to Cairo.

"'During that visit Chirac proclaimed that Europe and Muslims should write history together.'

Governments or rather the "State" allowed the map shown above to happen.

This is yet another fine example showing that the "state" is more our enemy than our protector!

You know, those maps of France bear a striking resemblance to that of New Brunswick... And, let me tell y'all, I'm not just referring to the similarity in the shape of the geopolitical areas.

It's happening everywhere.

So bin Laden complains and whines about "Western imperialism in the Islamic world" and so on, but I think he's being hypocritical! Just look at Islamic imperialism in the entire world... it's via migration and ultra-extremely high birth rates that Islamic supremacists promote the growth of Islam everywhere. Of course, many Muslims don't necessarily share the ideology of the supremacist-imperialists, but the fact is that they're part of the whole thing, whether they want to be or not, especially if they have a LOT of babies, especially when the man abuses his wife and treats her as little more than a baby oven.

Hence it's critical to be as aggressive as possible to "impose" freedom, democracy, the rule of anthropogenic law and human rights everywhere in the world so as to enable Muslims to make their own choices based on full information about their rights and what they can do if they so choose, including things that the supremacists are opposed to. It's especially important for the international community to get some big, hairy ones and push aggressively to ensure human rights and equality for women everywhere, including in the Islamic world. Our first test will be in dealing with Afghanistan, which, despite everything we've sacrificed for them, appears set to guarantee that women will once again be guaranteed to have NO rights at all.

To impose human rights on other lands is righteous, just and worthwhile. But the "progressive" movement wants to abandon the non-Free World to the devil's whims. And this is the concrete, indubitable proof that the "progressive" movement does NOT care about human rights at all, but rather about submission to a greater force than they (the state, whether intolerantly socialist or intolerantly theocratic).

We must stop rewarding the Islamic world for its hatefully evil insistence on there being no human rights and no equality for women whatsoever. I suggest an economic embargo against the refusenik Islamofascists. Like, quit buying their frigging oil and use our own, though the "progressive" movement won't let us, so they'll have to be dealt with much more aggressively, politically, so as to push them way back and put them in their place, which is to be equal to and not more powerful than the ideology that makes the Free World free.

Actually the large majority of French people are well aware of the danger, and it is the French and Euro bureaucrats who remain in dishonest denial. Due to a lack of free speech, French citizens are silenced as throughout Western Europe, and the few who voice concerns are treated as criminals and a dire threat while the real threat is ignored. Remember how the numerous Islamist cases of violence are reported as disgruntled youths rioting. One may also argue that it is the French people's love of socialism (collectivism) along with moral decay that has allowed arrogant elitist politicians to gain power.

Also it must be said that on a whole the French are a very ungrateful people, and I say this from personal experience. I cannot recall the number of times when living in France I heard people claim that the Americans and allies wrecked more damage than the Nazis. This was in the 60s not all that long after their liberation and the comments were made by people who had lived through the war. I might add that I was considered just another French university student and not a foreigner when people shared these comments.

Heidelberg Manifesto

The professors believed that immigration would dilute the German stock, arguing against it from
a biological and racial standpoint.

Is Germany and France having second thoughts about Turkey possibly joining EU? You would think so.

Our Party's historical mission is to lead the Chinese people to go out. If we take the long view, we will see that history led us on this path. First, China's long history has resulted in the world's largest population, including Chinese in China as well as overseas. Second, once we open our doors, the profit-seeking western capitalists will invest capital and technology in China to assist our development, so that they can occupy the biggest market in the world. Third, our numerous overseas Chinese help us create the most favorable environment for the introduction of foreign capital, foreign technology and advanced experience into China. Thus, it is guaranteed that our reform and open-door policy will achieve tremendous success. Fourth, China's great economic expansion will inevitably lead to the shrinkage of per-capita living space for the Chinese people, and this will encourage China to turn outward in search for new living space. Fifth, China's great economic expansion will inevitably come with a significant development in our military forces, creating conditions for our expansion overseas. Even since Napoleon's time, the West has been has been alert for the possible awakening of the sleeping lion that is China. Now, the sleeping lion is standing up and advancing into the world, and has become unstoppable!

Alain Should have pointed out that when you actually fight there is damage done.

I think a distinction should be made ...

The growth of Islam is not necessarily a bad thing because following Islam doesn't necessarily mean that people follow the fundamentalist beliefs that are incompatible with modern society. I say this because second generation Muslims that were raised in communities that were not immigrant dominated tend to be (essentially) no different from any other ethnic group.

The danger of this growth comes from the fact that it is primarily driven by immigration from developing nations, the immigrants tend to be fundamentalists, they form ghettos of like-minded people in order to preserve their beliefs, and they use their political power to make the countries they live in more like the countries they come from.

"The professors believed that immigration would dilute the German stock".

The Nazis wanted to exclude 100% of "non-Arians", into Germany. So to want to exclude ANYONE, no matter how radical, no matter how unwilling to assimilate, and no matter how open to the idea of changing the host country,

one is being Nazi like?

I see.

I guess since Nazis breathed oxygen, I better not breath oxygen or I'm pretty much being a Nazi.

No one's suggesting France keep out people simply because they're Muslim.

What is being said is that there's a problem of fundamentalist, supremacist Islam becoming large and powerful in France and threatening the rights and freedoms of others, and that is unacceptable. What is being opposed here is Islamic supremacism and imperialism. Immigration, as someone mentioned above, should include interviews of all immigration candidates to determine whether they harbor supremacist/hateful/intolerant views and refuse entry to those who are found to be hateful, as, really, who wants to have those who hate them come to live amongst them?

Unfortunately, there's a way around this, and it's "Taqiyya", or lying in the interests of Islam. So then what? Make prospective immigrants watch documentaries that explain that this and that are what France is about and is like, much of which is un-Islamic. The point must be made that there'll be no tolerance for intolerance, including intolerance based on Islamic doctrine.

Unfortunately, the politicians have no balls...

Guys .... check it out ... when Islam takes over, we guys will have power of life and death over our families. We can have several hot wives who will be subservient and grateful. We will have all the privileges and rights that go with along with a man-centered world. We may not have as much economic opportunity other than theft and welfare, but then it's getting that way anyhow and .... at least we will not have to listen to any bullshit from women.

Now what do you women have to say about that? If I were a woman, I would be screaming in great hordes to Ottawa to stop these sub humans from immigrating here.

For me, as guy with a wife who absolutely refuses to let me rape her ... well maybe Islam ... well .... I dunno ... shhh quiet, she's coming in the room ... I .. er christ how do I close this thing so she cant' s..;kaopg]afoga jkmpoeiwjm,\ Yowie

I would like to see a map of Canada with the growth of mosques, or at least the greater Toronto area and the greater Montreal area.

I am SO tired of the "tolerance" shtick.

By the time we've got cultural chaos, a virtual Tower of Babel, where the centre isn't holding -- because there is no centre, just a bunch of competing "equalities" and "diversities" -- we haven't actually been "tolerant" so much as failed to be discerning.

At some point, we have to be adult enough, sensible enough, and intelligent enough to discern whether or not our society is working for the vast majority of its members or is falling apart because it's splintered into so many competing groups clambering for their rights and entitlements that the whole damned mess has become unworkable for the majority of the population.

Canada's at this point. Jason Kenney seems to be moving in the right direction to stem the tide of Canada's rushing headlong into becoming a broken-down, dysfunctional, multicultural morass like France. Sadly, the French seem to have completely missed their opportunity to stand up and be counted.

If all cultures are "equal," just as good as any other, then how come the flow of immigration is always a one-way stream: from countries/cultures where individual freedoms are almost or completely non-existent to Western democratic countries/cultures based on Judeo-Christian values?

The BIG LIE PET perpetrated, when introducing a multicultural Mecca to Canada via the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, has created chaos in our country, especially in large cities to which most of our immigrants gravitate. It's time Canadians woke up, took a good look around, and named what's been happening in our country.

We've been taken for a ride -- all at our expense -- with very few benefits accruing. Immigrants to Canada, with many gifts to offer their adopted country, should expect to do things the way we've been doing them for over 200 years and should not expect us to bend over backwards to accommodate the way they've done things in their countries of origin. Presumably, they left their countries to seek a better life here. How can they find a better life when they continue to do things the way they always have? It doesn't work.

Let's be honest enough to recognize what is just common sense and not be intimidated into selling the culture that has served us well -- and which has served immigrants to Canada well -- down the river. No one "wins" when we do this, except those who wish to exploit our generous hospitality. Why would we bend over backwards to accommodate them?

Doug @ 1:50

Some folks would get prone for them if really forced to...

Disarmament by design.

batb,

"it's splintered into so many competing groups clambering for their rights and entitlements"

Thats a hazard in any society that has seen an influx of multiple cultures. It wasn't so long ago that Irishmen catholics were up against English protestants in Canada, and later Ukrainians were claiming about systematic discrimination. The pioneers of multiculturalism in Canada were the Jewish and Ukrainian communities (the colored lot had barely started arriving at that point). It is part and parcel of being an immigrant seeking nation.

" the French seem to have completely missed their opportunity to stand up and be counted"

Shortsighted policy, mostly. They needed to justify their colonial rule at a time when the Human Rights Charter was being bandied about in the 1950s. Very difficult justifying colonialization in those days, so they took route one - they gave all their subjects relatively equal rights within France. All these havoc creating Muslims in France are from French colonies, not the Muslim world in general. I agree with your central premise though - there need to be more controls on who can be allowed in - particularly the compatibility of their values with democratic values.

"If all cultures are "equal," just as good as any other, then how come the flow of immigration is always a one-way stream: from countries/cultures where individual freedoms are almost or completely non-existent to Western democratic countries/cultures based on Judeo-Christian values?"

The answer lies in the economy, not in "values". People immigrate to places that offer economic opportunity. Consider the large expatriate populations in two of the most authoritarian states in the world - the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and Singapore. To top it off, throughout this economic crisis, I have seen Canadian born immigrants leave to take up jobs in India and China (which are relatively more economically stable these days). The reverse brain drain is becoming increasingly common these days as the economic divides slowly become less.

Of course, most Muslim countries, particularly those west of India, are in economically dire straits. Hence the large influx from there. Immigrants tend to be less fascinated by freedom and other values, and more fascinated by money.

"especially in large cities to which most of our immigrants gravitate"

They gravitate there because thats where the jobs are. Cities are economic hubs. You will find most immigrants in economic centers like Toronto.

"We've been taken for a ride -- all at our expense -- with very few benefits accruing."

Not neccessarily true. Immigrants have to prove financial ability to set up. In other words, they come here and rent houses, buy goods, pay taxes etc. Think of it as micro-level foreign direct investment. The influx of this kind of demand allows the economy to grow faster, since more goods will be demanded than the previous year and so on. The benefits you accrue may not be visible but they are in the form of economic growth. After a while they get jobs and that brings increased economic output too.

"not expect us to bend over backwards to accommodate the way they've done things in their countries of origin."

Agreed. We certainly shouldn't be asked to adopt Shariah.

Aside from that, how do we bend over to accomodate them? I would really like to know some examples of how accomodating htem has affected you personally.

when Islam takes over, we guys will have power of life and death over our families -Posted by: Momar at April 5, 2009 4:32 PM

Such commentary is illegal in that it can be construed as a death threat against millions. And it demonstrates the dangers posed by fundamentalist, supremacist, imperialist Islam.

Momar also expresses hatred and contempt against women.

Hey, Human Rights Commission, whatcha gonna do about Momar? Nothing, eh? Oh, right. You NEVER go after Muslims for anything!

Perhaps Momar should be exposed, if possible.

Oh, wait... Is Momar being sarcastic/ironic?

Yes, Momar is being sarcastic.

and ....

The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation of all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities. - Teddy Roosevelt

Definitely something to brood/breed over. It may be down who will do the brooding and who will do the breeding.

sylvain: "The answer lies in the economy, not in 'values'".

I'm not an economist, but I suggest that it is J-C values which encourage entrepreneurship, honesty, equality of the person before the law, etc., that underlie the foundations of successful economies.

Ah, Momar's being sarcastic.

Damn... I'm slow today...

My husband works with a Pakistani Muslim, he often opinines that Muslim are embracing Wahhabi versions of Islam at their own peril. He said he loathes going home to visit his family members because they have become Islamic Zealots. Muslims are becoming more Muslimfied daily, and not in a good way many Muslims fear the evil that is growing in their communities but are powerless to stop the radicals from taking control of their communities and Mosques. Mr Tarak Fatah is a very brave Muslim, there are many like him who can't risk life and limb if they expose the rot from within.

Europe is lost, they've embraced socialism with gusto and as a result the host culture has been destroyed and replaced with a Religious culture so medieval it can't be defeated. I suspect the next big war will be a civil war raging throughout Europe, in the end Europe will be an Islamic Nation and the people have no one to blame but themselves they voted for socialist parties.

Every European must have a Chinese and India spouse, India- Chinese and European, Chinese- European and India, next your Christian in the morning, Hindu in the afternoon and Islam at night or some variation.

Sylvain, when immigrants are put on welfare and have all of their expenses paid, including dental bills, which while my children were growing up didn't happen in my family -- we had to cover all of our own dental expenses, not having an insurance policy -- my family pays for these immigrant services through our taxes.

My family has always lived within our means, often at great sacrifice, and I have a problem with the fact that too often our hard-earned tax dollars support immigrants who may not want to pull their own weight because they have found out how to manipulate our, admittedly, ridiculously socialist system which all too often, in its bleeding-heart liberal way, too often provides visible minorities with welfare and few questions asked.

I agree that most immigrants to Canada, after an initial period of adjustment, work hard and contribute fully to their new society. But those who don't? Those who want us to accommodate them? Those who take advantage of our welfare system?

Please don't tell me that they don't exist or that all hard-working Canadians aren't affected "personally" by that kind of freeloading. How about the Khadr family, who seem to be Canadians of convenience?

This stuff is why a genuinely ugly party like the Front National, which is basically fascist and more-or-less- racist, has done well electorally (2007 excepted) and is going to keep doing better in France. The established political class has no interest in matters which are of huge concern to most French people - immigration, Islam... it's beneath them. When the political class is insulated, utterly arrogant and unreponsive, then they have no right to be indignant when weeds start growing up from the grass-roots.
I expect the BNP to do better and better in British elections for the same reasons.

PC types will tell you some colonialism is good.

Islam is more than a religion.Islam is a way of life that puts women, children, gays and non-believers on a lower tier than the mighty male. This is ingrained into them at an early age and reinforced by strict prayer,5 times a day, every day of their life. Yes,they are different from most ethnic groups. The men DO project a superior attitude towards others. I work with immigrants 5 days a week. We can wish that the next generation will be much more tolerant, but I am afraid that it will take a major upheaval by the women to accomplish that goal, and they have been beaten down for so long that it may never happen. Subscribing to the idea that 'all religions are good' is pure folly.Islam is foremost a way of life, the rules governing every aspect of life.
