“We have exhausted the use of Rush as an attention-getter,”says WH official.

I feel the same way about O.

But has Rush exhausted his interest in Obama's Whitehouse ?

I think not. Much too rich a target environment.

Well, there goes 25% of HotAir's posts. Maybe they'll make it up with Palin daughter posts?

Yup, that should put Rush in his place!! The amount of discussion this faux-pas engendered by various media over the time of the feud should pretty much pay for most of Mr. Limbaugh"s $400 million contract!!

So now, the White House/Obama are back to accusing anyone who disagrees with their proposals as 'partisan'.

Remember how Obama touted that 'his regime' would reject partisanship? By that, he didn't mean what we thought, namely that representatives from all sides of the political perspective would collaborate on policies. No, he actually meant that anyone who disagreed with his policies would, ah..shut up and vote in favour.

Obama, the narcissist, cannot handle anyone and anything that is not within his controls. So, if you have a different view - which means you are not within his control - he'll denigrate your view. He'll refuse to recognize it as reasoned and based on evidence and analysis; no - he'll call it biased, partisan, bigoted..and racist.

He'll do this more and more, as people realize that HIS 'policies' are not based on data but on control. And that he doesn't mean what he says, eg, his many campaign speeches against 'earmarks' and yet - he passes a bill filled with them. And his many campaign speeches that ALL bills would be put up for consideration by the public for several days - that promise has also been steadily broken.

A reporter recently noted to a WH aide that Obama was now talking up the economy and essentially adopting McCain's position during the election. The aide replied that sure McCain was right but he lost that "spin war". I guess that the Obama "leadership" is just one big spin war.

Hummmmmm....who are they going to "pick" on next? Larry King for having that goose murdering pilot on his show? I really hate to say this(NOT),but to paraphrase....bye bye miss USA.Mugabe will be so proud of the O.How can 150 million + people be so stupid?

Word is out that Obama is going to flip flop on his promise not to tax employer paid health care benefits.

And he made such a big deal in the election over how bad it was for McCain to make that a platform plank.

What promise will he break next and will the MSM report it or even care ?

None other than David broder - a pillar of the centrist democrat establishment - has declared the honeymoon over.

Expect a torrent of columns from the msm critical of the administration from here on. The question is: will they be critical of obama directly or just his staff?

I suspect they will still try to put BO above the fray, but it won't last. Fox and rush and hewitt et al will continue to link BO directly with this mess. And with their ratings soaring the other media will have to compete by - horrors - telling the truth.

Broders column may become one the milestones on the road to collapse for this administration.

One would think that the White House would have enough on their hands that they wouldn't spend valuable time trying to manipulate where people's attention is directed.

Ready Fire Aim

Eeyore writes: "One would think that the White House would have enough on their hands that they wouldn't spend valuable time trying to manipulate where people's attention is directed."

Yes, but such manipulation is the only thing at which they have ever been successful (and they have been very successful at it), so you can expect it to continue no matter what befalls the economy or our safety in the world.

Next target of Obozo attacks is Eric Cantor the first (republican) governor to refuse all of the bailout money. The word has already gone out to the media bum hole buddies at the morning conference calls and Jon Stewart's team is already working on Cantor put down lines now that they are done with Cramer. Anyone with any credibility of any political stripe who dare oppose the Won will be targeted. Get ready Kate.

The speech Rush made to CPAC is on youtube in 10 parts. it is worth a view. I sat riveted to my screen through it all. I found it inspiring. My next hope is to watch Ann Coulter's. Personally, I think much of the advice Rush has for American conservatives applies to Canadian.
1. Liberalism is a pathology; not a philosophy.
2. We are not a minority.
3. Do not let Liberals set the agenda.

eg, his many campaign speeches against 'earmarks' and yet - he passes a bill filled with them.

It's worse that that, ET. He now calls earmarks an important tool for legislators, which is why he has never advocated for a wholesale ban on them (despite doing so as recently as January 5, 2009 in a televised speech). He's either a bold-faced liar, or an incredibly adept student of Doublethink.

This man has a questionable moral compass. I also believe he is in over his head. This combination will lead to a continued train wreck of an administration, and we're not even two months into it.

Rush blowed it up reeel gooood!

The Obama Dems -the Wiley Coyote of political parties gets stiffed again.

"Obama Honeymoon Ending as Former Backers and Media Realize WHO He Really Is

Just remember WE TOLD YOU SO!

Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign war room prominently displayed a sign which declared “It’s the economy stupid!” James Carville, who coined that legendary reminder to keep one’s focus on the most important issue, has apparently forgotten it as he advises the Obama Administration which appears to be more interested in using the financial crisis as a tool to advance their radical agenda.

While nearly every business leader is pleading for Obama’s attention on economic issues his top priority the past few weeks has been to attack Rush Limbaugh. It started when Obama told GOP congressional leaders “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.” The attack soon shifted to his Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and most recently to Obama’s campaign strategist David Plouffe.

These attacks on Limbaugh and other critics are not random events but a coordinated campaign being directed by the White House at the suggestion of James Carville. Does President Obama have nothing better to do?

Wayward “Conservatives” Seeing the Light

The impact of the White House’s inept leadership on economic issues has accelerated the drop in Obama’s approval rating first started when wayward Republicans and so-called “conservatives” who got hooked on the Hope and Change Kool Aid began to recover from the hangover.

These were the folks who jumped off the GOP ship and onto the Hope and Change parade when it looked like the smart thing to do. They believed Obama’s campaign rhetoric and expected him to govern as a centrist. They are only now coming to their senses.

It was a shock to many conservatives when Chris Buckley, the son of the late William F. Buckley Jr. announced he had seen the light and was pulling the lever for Obama. Here’s what Chris said in his announcement:

President Obama will (I pray, secularly) surely understand that traditional left-politics aren’t going to get us out of this pit we’ve dug for ourselves. If he raises taxes and throws up tariff walls and opens the coffers of the DNC to bribe-money from the special interest groups against whom he has (somewhat disingenuously) railed during the campaign trail, then he will almost certainly reap a whirlwind that will make Katrina look like a balmy summer zephyr/"

gunney and others - go to Glenn Beck's The 912 project.

Beck and others are focusing on conservative values and creating a venue for their expression. He's got something interesting on the 9 principles and 12 values. The focus is on, not Republican or Democrat party policies but on the values and principles of the Constitution. The agenda is to be 'true to the Constitution'.

This actually unites people and gives them a solid ground to bond to.

Watched GB on Fox yesterday -- a very impressive undertaking he is on that I will be following with interest. I particularly enjoyed his interview of the two young military fellows.
