A/HRC/10/L
. Combating Defamation of Religions - and take a drink every time you see the words "Christian" or "Jew".

UN Watch and 186 NGOs call for rejection of "defamation of religions" campaign.

The Islamic states scored another win today at the 47-nation U.N. Human Rights Council for their campaign to ban any criticism of religion, with a resolution calling for curbs on free speech to protect Islamic sensitivities. The 23 votes supporting the restrictions showed an increase of two in comparison to last year.

Eleven countries voted No: Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and Italy, while 13 abstained, including Bosnia, Brazil, and Mexico.

Defamation of "infidels" likewise, goes unmentioned.

Reminds me of a few years ago in The States where they tried to bring in a law whereby people who criticized affirmative action could be charged with a hate crime.

These people want to be able to push you around and if you complain they want to jail you.

Canada voted against this illogical resolution, declaring that it is individual who have rights, not religions. Exactly.

Individuals - not ideologies - have rights.
Individuals - not collectives - have rights.

Now, the question is, will Islamists stop their defamation of 'unbelievers', of those who are not Islamic? Will they stop their attacks against people who do not believe in Islamism?

Seems to me the list of nations interested in protecting individuals from creeping Islamic lawfare is growing shorter and shorter.

The fact that this declaration is underpinned by an outcome of the anti-Semitic 2001 Durban conference is telling as well.

Any religion unable to stand up to scrutiny and honest criticism is nothing but a man-made ideology and does not deserve special protection.

As ET rights states individuals have rights not ideologies. To attack and seek to harm and murder believers is wrong and should be treated as the crime it is, but to criticise their religion is fair game. Funny how those demanding that Islam be above reproach do not restrict themselves to criticising Christianity but carry out real violence against Christians.

What surprised me is that "Gordon Brown's Britain" voted "No".

They found one vertebrae in their gelationous spine?

This thing pops up every year. Its not binding. Who cares? It doesn't change a thing, one way or the other.

Time to rename the UN HRC.

The Ministry of Truth seems appropriate

See, all you Leftists lurking about? The Islamists at the UN are supremacists... clearly they insist that "religion" means "Islam". The wording is clear; they only consider Islam worthy of being deemed a "religion" and protected from having its feelings hurt.

Betcha you Leftists are ok with that. Of course, 'cause if you aren't, well, you don't want your head chopped off...

Oops! Did I just defame The One And Only "Religion" On Earth? Oh, my...

Imagine if a bunch of UN delegates wanted a vote on a resolution banning discrimination on the basis of race, and only mentioned "White People", leaving out all others... Same thing, isn't it?

Are you listening, Warrin' Kimsheila? Do you understand? There's scary Islamic supremacists out there trying to go all supremacist on our asses... better take their pictures in the bathroom and tell the world on your blog...

The nuts are in charge of the asylum. We're all f**ked.

The UN should be told to Eff Off. Hey, they can be sustained in Durban if they are welcome.

No they won't, until they are either all dead or have given up their futile attempt to turn all humans into tyrranized zombies.

Why do we still belong to this abomination again?
Its clearly anti-Western, anti-Christian, Anti-real human rights. The real ones like individual rights not collectivist ones including Religions. You know, free speech, assembly, land ownership, religious freedom. Ideas like Islam, now are more important than people.
This Orginization defends almost everything we despise. Run by savages & barbarians. I might add these folks have NEVER helped anyone. Every intrevention by the UN becomes a disaster.
Time to cut em loose. Tainted love.

There's a MASSIVE war comin', and after all is said and done I don't know what is going to be left of the world as we know it.

By the way, I and my family will refuse to fight. The Kinsella Disease, and other bacteria of its ilk had their chance to take these threats seriously and fight them in the political arena years ago.

They ultimately chose war, so let them and their vile spawn go fight it... I shall hide somewhere remote, like Alaska. No Islamic armies heading that way, probably because the hijab is .... impractical... up there!

This year there will be a vote to make the bill international law with the provision that no country can opt out. Through this and other undemocratic measures, such as sharia finance, the 57 member OIC is attempting to enforce sharia on the world.
