Anyone that puts the Roman numeral III after their name just has to be an egotistical jackass. Which brings me my point; who are these experts and why do they think the economy is job 1 ?
My theory is they don't give a rats ass about jobs and the average Joe; all they care about is their precious stock portfolio. Now that Joe ain't buying their snake oil pitch they're freaking. The experts can all go straight to hell.
Part of the answer.

As China announces today it plans to double its CO2 output.
They'll also likely demand we send them $trillions in Carbon Credits.
William Patalon III is right on target. As for people worrying about their stock portfolios, you can absolutely bet that Gore and his fellow snakeoil salesmen are getting a tad worried that their phony ponzi schemes and trading in thin air is starting to unravel. The sooner the better. Cap and trade is in deep, deep trouble in Europe and the whole house of cards is starting to collapse.
The only thing this guy is capable of focusing on is a mirror. He has the attention span of a six year old and that is not about to change until he understands what’s going on, if ever, don't hold your breath. If he had a tenth of the experience of running anything that that stupid know nothing never did anything Sarah Palin he might have a tiny clue of the real world.
Obama One Big Assed Mistake America, I love that line.
This guy is nothing more than the street corner hustler that hit the big time.
The EPA estimates the registry would cost $127 a year.
What, are they crazy?
Don't waste a good crisis!
Time to build empires and balloon that sucker.
And people said the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.
The Pres has sure showed them.

"FBI raids office of D.C. CTO, Obama appointee
Federal agents this morning are searching the Judiciary Square office of Washington, D.C.'s Chief Technology Officer.
The search is part of "an ongoing investigation," said a spokeswoman for the FBI's D.C. Field Office, Lindsay Gotwin, said. She declined to comment further.
The outgoing Chief Technology Officer, Vivek Kundra, was appointed last week Chief Information Officer by the Obama administration. His last day at the city government office was February 4, a spokeswoman for D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty, Leslie Kershaw, said."

Yeah, right ... and the Canadian gun registry was only going to cost $2 million. So far it's over $2 billion. What's three orders of magnitude when you're doing "the right thing" (TM)?

"The White House Depression Primer
Invited by a reporter Monday to criticize President Obama’s economic plans, the chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, Christina Romer, naturally brushed the question aside. “You want me to tell you what's wrong with the fiscal stimulus package?” she said. “SO not going to do that!"
Too late! As it happens, the lecture Romer had just finished delivering at the Brookings Institute on Monday afternoon was criticism enough.
An expert on the Great Depression, Romer organized her lecture around six lessons distilled from the era. The administration she serves seems to be disregarding every one of them."

*"A slogan often attributed to Lenin is "The worse, the better."12 Only if society is on the verge of collapse can a communist revolution succeed. But this attitude surfaces at the other end of the ideological spectrum too. Murray Rothbard is the most colorful example:
For radical social change—a change to a different social system—to take place, there must be what is called a "crisis situation." There must, in short, be a breakdown of the existing system which calls forth a general search for alternative solutions."

"Anyone that puts the Roman numeral III after their name just has to be an egotistical jackass"
If you were named after your father who was named after his father, then you night be a III.
I shall refrain from comments about some people coming from the shallow end of the gene pool until later.
Economic theories (and their resident "experts") are as plentiful and varied as religions. Some put all their eggs in one basket and stay on board even after it is proven that the ship is sinking. Others believe in whatever is the popular fashion of the day based on which way the wind blows as much as anything, facts and figures be damned. Still others use whatever works for their particular need.
The point is that the great "O" has realized that his job isn't as easy as he thought it would be. Surprise, eh.
Right, and it isn't simply that this job isn't as easy as he thought it would be; it's also that the job requires knowledge, decision-making, leadership and a clear focus on not only WHAT the future should be, but WHY.
Obama doesn't have the abilities to do this. He operates only within situations that make him FEEL good. He 'feels good' when he can control how people interact with him; and when he is assured that they have less power than he does.
He doesn't operate within any idea of 'how a robust economy functions'. His mind is simply blank on such an issue. He only operates by how a situation makes him 'feel'. If the situation doesn't affect him - he ignores it and the people involved.
He'll ignore the economy and the banks. He has no'feel' in these areas. He delegated the economy to Pelosi and Reid who simply drew up a pork barrel Dream List - and Obama signed it. Even when he was told it wasn't a 'stimulus package'.
Obama tried to tell people that 'spending' was equivalent to 'stimulus' - an astonishingly stupid remark - and he was ignored. So, Obama blamed it on 'the previous administration'. He was just a passive victim. Not of racism, this time, though he's used that strategy before. But of The Previous Administration. Watch out, he'll use the Blame Game more and more often.
This leaves a vacuum of leadership in the White House. No-one is yet willing or able to step up and assume leadership.
And Obama turns to 'his' projects, which are 'his' not because he is ideologically committed to them but because they enlarge the number of people dependent on him and the government: Health Care and Education.
The fact that he ought to be focusing on the Economy - well, he can't. Because he can only focus his 'mind' on issues that increase his Presence and make people dependent on him. The economy, in order to function, requires people, other people, to Have Money. To be independent and free. To set up businesses. Obama can't do a thing that will empower people and set them up as independent of him.
He can only do things that make people dependent.
What about the Mexican border? He's doing nothing.
What about foreign affairs? So far, he's trivialized a meeting with Canada, making it as short as possible and spending his Image Time in the ByWard Market, and deliberately insulted the British PM. Oh, and suggested that His Words will calm and settle terrorists. That's his approach to foreign affairs.
Quite something to watch.
When reading commentary about the current state of the economy, I'm reminded of what is called the stages of grief.
Most people seem to be in denial right now. A few are angry.
The reason why so many people seem so eager to blame the free market and alleged "deregulation" for collapsing the economy is that they can't bear to think of the alternative: that the same people who force you to accept their medical care, unemployment benefits, a good part of your pension and so on screwed up royally when it came to overseeing and regulating financial markets. And if these folks can screw up the financial markets this badly, it's only a matter of time until they screw up all the rest, and you have no pension, no unemployment insurance, no decent medical care at all, and if you are lucky enough to have a job you'll be paid in a currency that's worthless.
How's socialism working for you so far?
And here's more,
"Mr Obama's failure to present a credible response to the financial crisis or even to assemble a proper economic policy team. After the British Government's leaked messages of despair about nobody answering the phone at the US Treasury in the preparations for the G20, everybody is now aware that Mr Obama has nominated only two out of 18 deputy and assistant Treasury secretaries. What is less widely recognised is that this decision-making vacuum reflects a deeply worrying feature of US economic policy."
And, "Mr Obama himself seems to have attached a surprisingly low priority to dealing with the financial crisis."
"All the main elements of such a policy - lower taxes, public works programmes, monetary and credit expansion, cast-iron government guarantees for recapitalised banks - are broadly agreed among economists and endorsed by global institutions such as the IMF." (Kaletsky, The Times).
The point to note is that Obama isn't interested in the economy; it has no real existence for him because it doesn't involve a clear infrastructure of making people dependent on government systems - such as health care and education. Note also, however, that the IMF suggestions are all, all, contrary to the agenda of the US Democrats and passively signed onto by Obama.
Indeed, there is an enormous vacuum of leadership in the White House. A problem is that no-one, as yet, has dared to move to take the leadership. This leaves the Congress of Pelosi and Reid, in control of agendas.
"The global warming crisis is just the latest surrogate for an over-arching agenda of anti-growth and anti-development."

Hmmm. Current recession = no growth + no development.
Leftards of the world untie (er, unhinge?)!
Obama's ideas like the whole stimulus bill that was pushed through, and all of this new spending is ridicules. It does nothing to create long term jobs. These are all short term projects that they want to do. What are all of these people working on these projects going to do once everything is fixed? They will be jobless without any where to turn and the economy will go back down. If we are going to throw money around, lets throw some into creating jobs outside of the government. One job resource that could use a jolt of life is our manufacturing industry. I was reading articles over at americanboom.com about how much of this problem could have been avoided if we had not outsourced all of our manufacturing to China. We need to stop relying on the government to bail us out and start bailing each other out. If we support companies that employ Americans then maybe they will not move to China.
Well Kenny, if the US wants to compete with China it needs to get rid of laws that empower unions. The other problem is the Yuan. The Chinese have kept it articifially low by buying tons and tons of US treasury bills. Of course, this could all be about to end ...
ET said: "What about the Mexican border? He's doing nothing."
Sadly O great sage, this is untrue. If he was doing nothing, it would be an improvement.
//phantomsoapbox.blogspot.com/2009/03/democrats-investigate-sheriff-for.html
They are investigating Maricopa County (Phoenix AZ) Sheriff Joe Arpaio for "human rights violations". "They" being Obama's Justice Department, at the behest of ACORN and some DemocRat pols.
The DemocRats really, really don't want those illegals sent home. I'm quite sure the Border Patrol has been given strict instructions to not be patrolling the border except where they can be clearly seen Doing Something by the good citizens of the USA.
Probably a good time to pick up a fake Green Card and a welfare application too. Arizona is nice this time of year, hmmmm....
Obama has the air of someone who is eager to get one issue over with so that he can get on to the next one on his socialistic laundry list. Thus,he never really tackles a problem to the extent or depth it deserves.
Listening to him galloping through his teleprompter speechesin the same tone of voice throughout, while appearing to watch a tennis game, rather than facing his audience and choosing his own words to emphasize his important points only exacerbates his superficiality.
Any reports of extra dog kennels appearing on the Whitehouse grounds lately? What about stimulus budget allocations for white house Rottweiler’s and Pit Bulls?

“why are you posting some poorly-written satirical piece here?”
Actually, although it may look like I’m making fun of his “heritage” as you put it, what I’m really doing is pointing out in a “poorly written satirical way”, the base mentality of Obamba and the direction his policies lean.
Disconnected report after report links him by way of speech and people around him as an extremely raced based, bigoted and biased administration. This influences all aspects of American society today whether anyone cares to ignore it or not. If you complied all the disjointed media surrounding his comments into a collage it would be a Fitna like film that would make the Grand Dragon of the KKK blush.
Remember “white men need not apply” for the stimulus construction plan?

This most probably does not concern you and that is fine, but it does and should concern others. When you evaluate Obamba and his policies or agenda it helps to know the direction he’s coming from.
Some added “satire” to show Canadians are not immune…………hilarious.

Well, at least Obrahama gave a nifty speech today about his idol Obe Lincoln.
So Obamanation wants to socialize medicine does he, well well apparently he want's soldiers to get health insurance so they can pay their own way when injured or wounded. Never mind they are serving their country and Obama is commander and chief who sends them off to get maimed or die. He's just one sick puppy, free medicine for everyone but those that put their life on the line. There is not a chance in hell a soldier going in theater could get health insurance.
Snippet: WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance.
But the proposal would be "dead on arrival" if it's sent to Congress, Sen. Patty Murray, D-Washington, said.
Murray used that blunt terminology when she told Shinseki that the idea would not be acceptable and would be rejected if formally proposed. Her remarks came during a hearing before the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs about the 2010 budget.
No official proposal to create such a program has been announced publicly, but veterans groups wrote a pre-emptive letter last week to President Obama voicing their opposition to the idea after hearing the plan was under consideration.
The groups also cited an increase in "third-party collections" estimated in the 2010 budget proposal -- something they said could be achieved only if the Veterans Administration started billing for service-related injuries.
Asked about the proposal, Shinseki said it was under "consideration."
"A final decision hasn't been made yet," he said.
Currently, veterans' private insurance is charged only when they receive health care from the VA for medical issues that are not related to service injuries, like getting the flu.
Charging for service-related injuries would violate "a sacred trust," Veterans of Foreign Wars spokesman Joe Davis said. Davis said the move would risk private health care for veterans and their families by potentially maxing out benefits paying for costly war injury treatments.

I'm not an insurance expert, but don't most insurance claims exclude "acts of war"?
economic crisis is over.
CNN has been reporting how the Obamas like to throw a party every week.
A place where Michelle can show off her pipes.
And Obama can mingle with Stevie Wonder.
"Stevie , come look here, the Oval Office, one of us Black folks is in it now"
"Sorry Barry , you all look black to me"
Obama is focused on the Fundamentals.

Now Obama Tells Us?
What an honest campaign would have sounded like.
By Victor Davis Hanson
Imagine that last fall, before being elected, Barack Obama had outlined the positions he has embraced since being inaugurated. An honest campaign speech could have gone something like this:
“As we approach Election Day, the American people should not waste the crisis we find ourselves in.
“Consequently, if elected, I promise to get us over the Bush financial meltdown with a stimulus program that will borrow $787 billion — which, of course, will add to the already sizable budget deficit (nearly $500 billion) projected in the Bush administration’s last budget.
“By March of next year, my new $3.6 trillion budget will include a spending bill with over 8,500 budget earmarks to target in-need constituents. ...
"Only" $127 million for a GHG registry, eh? Apart from calling BS on that amount based on our gun registry, that is only the government's cost of running the registry. There are 2 other important costs:
1. The cost to industry to throw resources to yet another worthless government survey
2. The eventual cost of cap/trade or a carbon tax based on the data forced from the manufacturers by the government.
To paraphrase Mark Steyn, "think of the GHG registry costs as a National Film Board Short picture, and the resulting cap/trade/carbon costs as 'Waterworld' "
And all the while china is doubling its GHG...
Nice.
