Hey, he promised to spread the wealth around!
I also read a couple of weeks ago that since the Obamanauts decided to publicly attack Limbaugh, along with Rush's listeners, his radio advertising sales (always strong) have also skyrocketed. His ad slots were, as of the beginning of March, totally sold out until the end of the 3rd quarter of this year.
Thank you, Obama & Co., for showing your very thin skins and disdainful dislike for any criticism.
At the time Obama & Co. opened their anti-Rush attack, I emailed the Democratic Party website, telling them of my revulsion at their intolerance, their hypocrisy (in light of 8 years of relentless anti-Bush rhetoric) and quoted another Democratic President, Harry Truman. He said, of politicians not liking criticism "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!"
No surprises here. Rightoids need a shoulder to cry on and Limbuagh in his search for ratings and ad bucks is more than happy to oblige.
Oxy-contin is expensive; especially what Rush's dealer must charge him. He needs the bucks and pushing rightard buttons does the trick.
The thin skinned "lefties" are out this morning with their snide remarks.
Aren't you getting enough of Obama's face on TV yet?
The more he shows his face the lower his ratings.
ulianov and not stirred enough,
your comments are merely variants (and not even intelligent ones, at that) of the rhetorical "ad hominem" attack, attacking the messenger, not debating the message, what Limbaugh is saying.
Now, if you want to come up with reasoned counter-point statements opposing any of Rush Limbaugh's statements regarding Obama and the Obama Administrations actions and policies, please do so.
We'd all love to read them.
ulianov (you commie pinko) you mean like Air America?

Actually Obama's numbers have increased, and I'm glad to see you guys are pleased with your new leader of the rightwing movement, Mr. Rush
Why is it rightwing "movement" when it seems stuck in the mud? Very strange,...

PS. "Dissent is patriotic", dont'cha know.
Dave,
You really miss the point. It all starts with the credibility of the messenger. In this case the messenger is a buffoon that is more than happy to play to the emotions of his audience. It provides him the added bonus of attempting to cleanse his drug addled past.
If you think Limbaugh is representational of right wing sensibilities then go ahead and take his lead.
The messenger IS the topic here!
Noony mouse: "Actually Obama's numbers have increased."
I'd be interested to see those numbers, with reference to source.
The Democrats hold all the cards right now -- and who knows, they may keep them for the next eight years -- but it's remarkable how badly they're playing them right now. It's simply unrealistic for liberals or anyone on the left to be feeling overconfident or triumphalist. Unless Obama finds his feet in the next few months, the opposition to him will harden. It's not about Rush.

To help you with your hallucinations, check out the true cause of the economic problems. Not that you will believe it....because after all, the left and the truth get along like vampires and sunlight.

Obama approval rating
March 26, 2009 Joe Dwinell The Boston Herald
"The honeymoon is over, a national poll will signal today as President Obama’s job approval stumbles to about 50 percent over the lack of improvement with the crippled economy.
The sobering numbers come as the president backpedals from two prime-time gaffes - one comparing his bowling score to a Special Olympian and another awkwardly laughing about the economy, which prompted Steve Kroft of “60 Minutes” to ask “are you punch-drunk?”"
O-B-A-M-A
One Big Assed Mistake, America
MJ,
I'd like to see those numbers as well. My understanding is that some have increased while others have gone down.
Over time his numbers will all be down. It happens to everyone of them and the big O is no different. He's set his expectations way too high and when he falls off the wall nobody will be there to catch him or put him back together again.
"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste or stupidity of right whingers."
versus ... Everyone goes broke underestimating the taste or stupidity of left wingers?
"The world will be a better place once this unpatriotic, hate filled buffoon is regulated off the airwaves."
So the leftards cry is now "More Oppression".
"We demand less freedom and more jackbooted thugs".
Progressive's are all morons.
BTW, You can tell Ulinov is fat (Peter Ustinov fat) and not stupid enough is a user by their ad hominem characterizations they've chosen for themselves.

In all fairness, I enjoy Rush's show. And I still think he is one of the biggest idiots on this planet. I also enjoy Fox News. I believe it is a wonderful right wing answer to Jon Stewart. I quite enjoy the comedic value of both of them. I do hope Fox News will one day expand its scope and become a serious news provider.
Rush, on the other hand, is like that angry insane man in the subway that you can't look away from, or laugh at. You know the kind where you have to do everything in your power to not burst out laughing.
He is more fun these days because he is angrier than ever. He agreed with Bush for the most part -and that made him quite a bore. Now hes got fresh material - someone he genuinely dislikes. Its a great rant and it has therapeutic value. It allows you to stay calm because the last thing you want, after experiencing his methods, is to end up like him, because you know people will start treating you wht the same credibility and respect as they do him, and that would really suck. I mean, how many of you actually talk to the mad angry man in the Subway?
I will continue to follow the antics of this angry man. Its great comedy. There are, I admit, flashes of intelligence. But for the most part he, like Fox News, have decided to pander to the profit margin by telling them what they want to hear, as opposed to the objective truth. Not that Jon Stewart is any better. Or the MSM for that matter. They re all utterly useless. But at least they have entertainment value.
"The world will be a better place once this unpatriotic, hate filled buffoon is regulated off the airwaves."
Yes, Virginia, the tolerant, diverse left has been lying through its teeth since Day One.
so ulianov, what brought the Soviet Union OVER the edge? Huh? capitalistic greed? Of that's right No one on the left has any bad intentions at all.
Well the 2 empty heads have struck again with such blinding stupid remarks it's a wonder nobody has locked em up as a danger to themselves and society.
Lord if that was the best I could come up with as a rebuttal showing my face or displaying my name would certainly be the last thing I would contemplate, the sheer embarrassment would be well unbearable.
As for the dropit guy if you think Rush's opinion is wrong then HEH are you in for a rude awaking when you wake up one day and wonder what happened to your life because your dead broke unemployed and quite possibly sitting in jail because of some insane law you broke unwittingly or better yet wittingly because hey your one of the chosen
and above all us peons.
I seldom agree with Ruben Navarrette about anything, still less with CNN in general. Thus, I was rather surprised to see this piece get past CNN's usually reliable filter.
ulianov and not stirred - stick to the content of what is said by Rush, by Obama, by others. Your attempts to devalue the content by irrelevant ad hominem opinions are worthless; they reveal you, rather than the speaker.
Rush is popular because he is articulating the views of many who are worried about Obama's agenda and actions. The majority of Americans are not socialists but centralists; they don't want big government; they don't want an authoritarian state. And Obama's actions point to a massive increase in government control and extensive authoritarian control - both by law and by mob pressure.
A recent example of the mob pressure tactic of Obama was the AIG fiasco, where Obama essentially 'egged on' lynch mob hysteria. He ought to have immediately told the public that the AIG contracts were legal, were less than 1% of the total; that retraction and/or taxes would be unconstitutional and that he, as President is sworn to uphold both the law and the Constitution.
Instead, he went public with his 'outraged anger'; he told the public that wealth was the result not of hard work but of greed; and he likened these bankers to terrorists, to suicide bombers. He encouraged Congress to demand the money back, to put on a retroactive tax (unconstitutional). Result? Lynch mob hysteria. And we'll see more of this, because Obama 'rules' by manipulating the emotions of fear and hope.
Rush Limbaugh is accurately expressing the increasing concern of people-who-use-their-reason and not-just-their-emotions.
Obama's popularity has indeed dropped and is now below that of Bush at the same stage. The difference between those who 'strongly approve' and 'strongly disapprove' ranges anywhere from plus 4 to 6. That's low, and the disapproval slope is steadily positive, i.e, going up and up, while the approval slope has now started a negative slope..going down.
And no, not stirred, I don't think that this is a 'normal' trend, as you are trying to suggest. I think that Obama's agenda, which I don't accept is his because he is not a theorist, but is 'his' because socialism gives him power over people..will not be accepted by the American people.
Furthermore, Obama's constant broken promises - in particular, over methodology - i.e., no earmarks, no signature, line by line review, public pre-vote motions, and his rejection of dissent and criticism - will be viewed with concern by Americans of any political agenda.
I'll predict that the only ones who will support Obama will be the far left idealogues, and in this realm, only those who live in a totally fictional world - as does Obama; and those who are totalitarian and must control others - as is Obama.
dropit (and what is your usual name here?)- no, your opinion on Fox news remains confined to you. Others find it accurate and truthful. Perhaps you consider Krauthammer comedic or Brit Hume or Hannity..or. But, that remains you. I've noticed that it is a characteristic of the left who, when they have no data base to offer, but want to assert their (smug) superiority, they tell us that they are 'amused' by such and such. That's a clear indicator of self-asserted superiority; that assertion that what you or someone else does, makes them 'laugh' or 'amuses them. Ah well.
When "Air Farce" aired weekly repeats on Newsworld, was that a reflection of Newsworld's news department?
Apply the same logic to Fox News, please.
awkwardly laughing about the economy, which prompted Steve Kroft of “60 Minutes” to ask “are you punch-drunk?”"
No Obama wasn't punch drunk.. Crack heads find humor in the deliberate damage they cause..
Just keep playing that “60 Minute” Clip and everybody will realize that the White man, playing a Blackman, is whacked-out all the time. We need to JAM the Teleprompter that George Soros uses to control the critter.
Uli Dion did.
Methinks the clever Ulianov should learn how to spell his 'name' in the more recognized way, with a y.
This c/p may not fit here; but, Commander Green from the VRWCHQ OK'd it. It's Top Secret; for your eyes only.
Uninformed sources tell Commander that PM Harper will appear with Rush.
...-
"Harper skips Canada in favour of U.S. interviews
OTTAWA -- Prime Minister Stephen Harper is heading to the U.S. this weekend for another series of American media interviews -- including with the Fox news network that disparaged Canadian soldiers last week.
A spokesman says Harper wants to outline Canada's position going into next week's G20 and NATO summits in Europe.
While Harper did provide Radio-Canada with a rare interview Thursday, he is not doing a round of Canadian media in advance of the European trip.
Canadian correspondents were advised not to bother trying to track Harper in Washington or New York, saying they would be `disappointed.'
Spokesman Kory Teneycke refused to give out a full list of the interviews Harper is doing."

Instead of running the worlds leading super power Obama spends the past couple of days on the net talking to the unwashed masses. He'll do anything to avoid running the country, I had a boss like that he ended up getting fired because he was incompetant.
"when they have no data base to offer, but want to assert their (smug) superiority, they tell us that they are 'amused' by such and such."
Smug is right ET. I've also noticed how leftards equate intelligence and eloquence with agreeing with them. Whether its Heather Malick, Bill Mahr or the rest, this smugness will be their downfall, eventually they'll have to put their money where their mouth is.
It will be Tyson vs. Douglas II
What does it take to get Obama and his White House Brownshirt Force to wage a bash-the-rightie campaign against me? Be cool to have millions of visitors...
Jeepers, when did lefties get so puritanical about drug use? You guys based a whole movement on it in the 60s and 70s!
At least Rush was smart enough not to OD, like all your semi-talented musician heroes.
I thought "THEY" only came out at night :O
Come on Kathy, you know the rules. Only Lefties are allowed to be stoners. Or divorced. Or rude.
Re-reading Leftist useful idiot Nonny Mouse above, it does ask a pertinent question.
"Why is it rightwing "movement" when it seems stuck in the mud?"
Well Nonny, that's a good point. The Conservative movement, meaning the movement toward greater personal freedom and responsibility and less government regulation does seem rather slow.
One is tempted to blame politicians and the media but the truth is that most people just don't care. They think Big Government is working just fine.
I suspect that is going to change fairly radically over the next few years, when Scary Barry's Hope and Change really starts to bite down on people. Limbaugh's audience numbers seem to support this view.
We shall see.
Yeah guys, Shaidle's right -
Even though the 'War on Drugs' is a cornertone right-wing philosophy, it's wrong to point out Limbaugh's hypocrisy in being an Oxycontin addict who obtained his drugs illegally.
It's also wrong to point out Limbaugh's hypocrisy in packing a suitcase of Viagra to go on a vacation with 4 other men to Dominican Republic.
It's *way* wrong to point out the war-mongering Limbaugh's hypocrisy in evading the draft because of an "anal cyst".
Which, for him, would be a cold sore...
ET
"dropit (and what is your usual name here?)"
I don't comment often enough to keep one.
"- no, your opinion on Fox news remains confined to you. Others find it accurate and truthful. Perhaps you consider Krauthammer comedic or Brit Hume or Hannity..or."
I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds Hannity comedic. And then there Bill O. What a hoot. That aside, the amusement value lies the way they spin their "truths". Sometimes they just go overboard - like that woman who claimed she got raped, but apparently didn't. Did you ever watch that? It was actually pretty hilarious how quickly their tone changed when they found out the police didn't believe the lady. And its not a random incident either. Then of course, theres the "curb job" and other such gaffes.
"I've noticed that it is a characteristic of the left who, when they have no data base to offer, but want to assert their (smug) superiority, they tell us that they are 'amused' by such and such."
Oh right. Well if it helps, I am not amused/entertained/captivated by the MSM. They outright bore me with their tripe. Some of it is funny - Jon Stewart, example. But I would rather shoot myself than tune into CNN or MSNBC. I am one of those people who boosts Fox's ratings, but apparently for different reasons than you. Do I think I am superior? Nah. I've just travelled the world a bit and seen other news channels - you know, the kind whose programming isn't dictated by viewer ratings. Find me even one American news channels program that can compete with the likes of BBC's HARDtalk. I doubt you even know what HARDtalk is. Watch it - it is pure quality, and they have no qualms about making their guests squirm in their seats by confronting them with inconvenient truths and facts. American news is either pandering - FOX interviews of Republicans, or heavily spun - MSM interviews of Palin for instance. Facts and inconvenient truths are rarely introduced.
"That's a clear indicator of self-asserted superiority; that assertion that what you or someone else does, makes them 'laugh' or 'amuses them."
Have you never watched Bill O take potshots at Jon Stewart and vice versa? It is hilarious. But that aside, theres only so much informative value in watching a bunch of grown, ostensibly intelligent people, try to shout each other down by repeating talking points that we have heard ad nauseum. Nothing new ever comes out. Nothing insightful ever comes out. Its all the same stuff rehashed and thrown back, albeit in loud voices. The only value it does have is entertainment value. Nothing like watching an anchor shout down a senator. Show me otherwise.
"I suspect that is going to change fairly radically over the next few years"
True enough, Phantom. I suspect even many obama supporters are beginning to see the idiocy of solving an economic problem by spending trillions of recently printed or borrowed dollars.
Kate,
On remembering Hardtalk, I decided to go through youtubes offerings. They have some choice stuff on Islam and other issues, including Geert Wilders. Check it out. Heres one from youtube:

Click on my website perhaps. 23 minutes, and most enjoyable so far.
ET,
Perhaps Fox or the other stations will provide us with such programming soon, eh?

Sounds like you wish you were though! ;)
bleet, buddy, here's the thing. Barry's Treasury department is printing a trillion dollars of monopoly money. What have you got? Limbaugh goes on holiday with four guys and a case of Viagra.
That pretty much says it all, bleet.
Ok uli, I'll give you that one. No problem, Bush did it.
You think printing a trillion pretend dollars is going to fix it? Or just f- it up way more?
Is clearin' brush off the ranch "lazy" work, Uli? Or does using chainsaws make it too easy?
You know, Dubya never lost a limb or digit swingin' that chainsaw 'round.
Ulianov said: "...[crickets]..."
Yeah uli, that's what I thought.
You see uli and fellow travelers, you think we all listen to Limbaugh and parrot what he says. Because that's what you do. You follow the talking points.
We don't do that. We read the paper in the morning, look at the top stories and say "WTF are they thinking?!!! That's retarded!" Then Limbaugh comes on at noon, and says the same thing we said in the morning about the same news items.
I do my own research, my own reading. I do not agree with Rush Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh agrees with me.
You are an angry person Ulanov, you would be better to take your vitriol and hate to the Daily Kos, where your type hang out. Rush is a very successful person, I have listened to him since 1989, his message is consistant, like Phantom says, he agrees with me also. Common sense is something that can only be achieved by working for ones self, not working in a union or constantly going after the MAN, like you people Ulanov, not stirred enough and bleet do. Start a company boys, risk your own money, then spout, the spew will be different I'm sure. Your hero, was a poorly paid community organizer until fools fell for him, you to can change.
Could you be more pathetic, Phantom?
You go to lengths to explain that you sit around and listen to a guy on the radio who comfirms what you already think? Guess that's why they call you dittoheads, huh?
Just before that you admit that Bush caused the economic crisis we're in. So - you actually admit that you cheered on the controlled demolition of the economy by the Republican's relentless sucking up to the rich, their insane belief that the free market is god and can regulate itself.
Cheney said 'Reagan proved deficits don't matter' and it was Reaganism on steroids. The only president to cut taxes during a war - a trillion dollar war that was supposed tohave been paid for with oil revenues. Who'd a thought the market would collapse?
They played poker with people's pensions. You cheered it on like all Republicans and now you can't do anything but complain as Obama has to bail out the banks that you destroyed - simply to get the economy up andrunning. You have no solutions to offer, of course. You have the chutzpah just stand around bitching while someone tries to clean the mess you made.
Oh yes, the right is returning to fiscal responsibility now that the Bush years are over! But really, your only position is to stand around sniping at whatever proposal gets put forth, hoping somehow you'll become relevant again. Truth to tell, that was the source of your fat friend's attention-getting outburst a month or so ago: "I hope he fails!"
But you have no relevance, you have no integrity, you have no credibility. Your philosophy has been completely discredited.
