In what industry experts call a sideways career move;
"...one of CNN’s main anchors during the 1980s and 1990s, Bobbie Battista, has taken a step through the looking glass and can now be seen anchoring reports online for ONN, The Onion News Network."

If you want to make a differnce and change the world, satire is where it's at.
Brings up old memories:
"For CNN this is Bobbie Batister CNN Center Atlanter"
What does it say about CNN when longtime anchors like her defect to a satire 'network' like ONN?
"How are ya!?" 1 second, 9K
wav Guy Caballero & Johnny LaRue Johnny and Guy discuss Johnny's great new idea. 25 seconds, 267K
wav Farm Film Report: Billy Sol & Big Jim "May the Good Lord take a likin' to ya' and blow ya' up real soon!"
Sheesh watta mess.
Sorry from SCTV.urg Isn't Floyd Robertsun revolting?
Bobbie's still hot.
Man, that Kafka Airport story is FUNNY.
Her hairdo's better. I wonder if her eyes are still crossed ...
Being from CNN, though... do you think she knows that what she's doing is satire?
Positively Kafkaesque.

In this case no talent can absolutly become life.
Just like Leslie Nielsen (from Regina!), he had lots more fun, and more money, when he switched from dramatic roles to comedy such as Airplane, Police Squad and Naked Gun. His famous deadpan delivery and acting oblivious to everything around him worked like magic. You're in good company, Bobbie! (and I mean that in a nice way)

I owe you an apology for striking out at you when I thought you where just some troll attacking Kate. I sincerely regret that. I was wrong. Sorry for going off on you. I only post this here because its the venue I did it at. Otherwise I would have sent an e-mail.
Revnant Dream
My attempts at humor are often obscure and oblique...hell, half of the time I don't get it....that said....no apology was required as I can relate to both the potential to misinterpret my random smarm and a desire to protect our hostess.
Very solid of you to speak out though. Thanks....You made my day unexpectedly better.

So that crosseyed dimwit landed in Canada .... seems like just a while back CBC hired ex ChikinNoodleNooz anchoress Lynn Russell..............
I guess if your really good at what you do .... there's a place for you in Canadian media!
OH! The O-N-I-O-N news network.....!
Seems like just a while ago that ex ChikinNoodleNooz anchoress Lynne Russell landed a job at CBC!
Just like Leslie Nielsen
Remember that episode of Due South where dead Buck Frobisher spoke to his son from the toilet bowl on the train? Was CBC involved in this smart, funny show that featured Canadian talent and heavily referenced Canadian culture?
In Battista's case I'd say this was just a predictable demonstration of how easy the move is from partisan spin propagandist to left wing fantasy mongering.
