A little blurb slipped across the Rogers cable news headlines on Chan 5 cable schedule page last evening a few times and then zip everywhere in newspapers I checked today. Something about 50 people laid off from the TO Star's ad department. Those scary footsteps...................... Talk about asteroids.

John Tory lost the by-election! YESSS!!! For all you non-Ontarians out there, that's a good thing because the guy is oblivious to common sense and politically disastrous. Oh ya, and he's only slightly less liberal than Dalton McLiar.

First glance at the first few comments and I thought, oh hey this is not going well for the begging of donations for those deeply layered journalists of this newspaper.

Now is the time for wealthy, fair-and-balanced-minded right-wingers to step in and buy up the failing Big Media outlets and transform them as appropriate.

Or for groups of fair-and-balanced folks to pool their funds and buy 'em up and ensure that "progressives" never again hijack these media outlets for propaganda, radical-agenda-driven and extreme social-reengineering purposes.

I liked the part where reality challenged Reporter Daniel Lathrop utters in true inane liberal problem solving mode that grant money might save them. Scratching their little skulls for solutions they must have pondered what would our Anointed One, the Obaminator, do?

The solution to saving news papers is right in front of us. I don't watch the ceeb, ctv or any other Canadian networks except for Music and sports, yet they mysteriously, or not so mysteriously still show up on my channel list, and I still get the bill for these unused channels.

Were I BO, I would institute the "news paper tax" at about $0.50/per day; then, I would tax households for paper removal generating income for the government and saving trees. After all, it's about saving jobs, the environment and culture.
