I have been a long-time reader (and lurker) of this fine blog, not only because Kate has brought out topics the drive-by media do not care to report, but also because of the comments and discussion of the readership . I am a lurker, merely because the subject matter and commentaries, taken as a whole, very much reflect my core principles, and are articulated much better than what I could add.

In the spirit of giving back, I have a couple of "reader's tips".

If you are looking for a good talk radio (American) website, featuring Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, check out WABC, New York. Limbaugh starts at Noon Eastern Time, followed by Hannity, then Levin. Doesn't matter where you are, core principles are Universal, in my humble opinion.

If you would like to try FOX NEWS...Live, and you cannot get it here or you have to jump hoops or "upgrade to that special package" thank you very much CRTC, Shaw, et al, go to the link below to "evaluate" a TV News Network that puts CNN, CNBC to shame. CBC...well you are so far down the list I think you owe us taxpayers $1B/yr...in tax cuts.

Just thinking about the Galloway business. I supported his exclusion from Canada because I'm not certain he's quite sane. We know his supporters are an advertisement for 'staying on your meds'. But is this enough to bannish the silly bugger from Canada?
What do Ezra and Kathy have to say. They are free speech purists after all.

Brian, I believe Ezra thinks keeping George out is A-OK. Some say this is hypocritical. I don't think so.

George is absolutely free to spout his bigotry and has a right to do so. However, as a British subject, he has no right at all to do it in Canada. As he is an enthusiastic supporter of our enemies, who are killing our troops, keeping him out of our country to spread his hate and lies is altogether a sound decision.

The real George Galloway, the description you won't get on CBC/CTV/Global because they are too stupid and lazy to do any research on this piece of turd.

I doubt that Galloway was barred from entering Canada because of his extreme opinions. It has a whole lot more to do with his activities in fundraising for Hamas which is a terrorist organization. Its one thing to voice support for such an organization - its quite another to be raising funds for their terrorist activities.

Keeping Galloway out of Canada isn't a free speech issue. We've got plenty of our own leftist idiots who spew the same BS he does and no one shuts them up.

Mr. Galloway exemplifies the difference between cheering from the sidelines and buying the team uniforms.

Now, as for Mr. Aslam, that statement is stupid on so many levels its hard to pick just one. You can tell how badly the Muslims have failed to integrate into our society. Challenging a bunch of Canadians to a fist fight? Oh baby.

You missed the Readers Tips, but thanks a lot for the links (Freetube for Fox, and WABC for talk radio). Re: Fox, I was actually considering "upgrading to that special package" and now won't bother.

me no dhimmi - well, I 'upgraded' (upcosted is more accurate) to include FOX and I don't regret it.

I sometimes get to Glenn Beck at 5:00 pm but, he can be a bit much - where does he get the explosive energy? But, his main points, that focus on the individual and the constitution, are good.

Then, the 6:00 pm news is very good, and has a panel with Charles Krauthammer - also very good.

At 8:00, there's Bill O'Reilly; at 9, there's Hannity. and then, Greta Van Susterin. I like Hannity and Greta the best.

I don't watch TV steadily from 5:00..but, there's something intelligent, inquisitive, analytic and yes, fair, on all the time. They are clear about their Conservative focus but they aren't sycophants, being quite ready to question and seriously criticize the Republicans. And they are fair in having Democrat participation..intelligent participation.

So, it's just my own opinion, but I consider FOX news yes, ..necessary...to my media viewin

I can invite (or not) anyone I want into my house. It is my home and domain. Canada as a country, also has a right to say who gets to enter (or not). I believe the term is sovereignty. Good for Canada to tell Lord Haha to "get stuffed".

set you free... the problem with Galloway and his cheerleaders is that they eschew debate. In their narrow world-view, they're right, anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong and that's all there is to it. Just check out how debate is actively suppressed (often through criminal intimidation) at our esteemed institutions of higher learning - you know, the same knob-factories that host IAW.

Come to think of it, that also applies to the Islamists...funny how that works.
