I'm glad the world doesn't pay attention to Canada, because I would be embarrassed if they found out how childish, effete, and perpetually and professionally offended fifty year old men with homes and families act in this country.

One of the striking things the MoonBats were ranting about yesterday was that their "tax dollars" (yeah, I know, but for the sake of argument, pretend that they actually do pay taxes) were paying for Shaidle's platform and that, as taxpayers, they had the right to demand that she doesn't appear. I suspect that Kinsella's vicious attempts to get Kathy Shaidle removed from the TVO program have less to do with what she says and more to do with his own personal hostile fights with Kate of SDA and Ezra Levant. In a sense, he's similar to his beloved Chretien; both are focused on their own power to control others.

With regard to Shaidle, I myself like some of her frank comments but disagree, strongly, with a great deal of her views, many of which are empty and quite false stereotypes - including her assumption that groups (nations, ethnicities)have IQs. But so what? I have the capacity to agree/disagree and that's where it stands.

Kinsella's rapid campaign to 'get Shaidle' was focused on her stereotype comments. Yet, it ignores his own recent stereotyping of groups (the infamous cat-eating Chinese). Therefore, I suspect that the real cause of his dementia episode was the fact that Kate and Kathy both highlighted his Cat-Calls on their blogs.

ahah...so Kinsella sees the opportunity to go after Kathy, and by extension, Kate. Problem is, he makes an even bigger fool of himself by this ill-thought out reaction.

Then, Ezra jumps in, with his post of today, calling on Ignatieff to do something about this, with a post with the title of 'Ignatieff campaign attempts to interfere with public broadcaster's editorial policy'. Heh.

And he writes, "Warren Kinsella, a senior aide to Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff, attempted to interfere with an editorial decision made by a public broadcaster today."

Kinsella reacts by today calling Ezra 'the PMO's designated Conservative Party spokesman'...which is an outright lie. Oh, and also 'the unemployed Conservative Party spokesman' and Kinsella asserts that he 'represents the views of the Conservative Party of Canada'.

Now wait, either he's employed as the 'spokesman' (which he isn't) or he's unemployed or he represents the CPC or....Make up your mind which insult you're going to fling, Kinsella.

So, it's a cat fight. Does it have anything to do with freedom of speech? No. Absolutely not. Does it have anything to do with bigotry, racism, and so on? No. Absolutely not.

What's it all about? Power. Kinsella's power over people.

Something else - Kinsella's latest post on his blog refers to a situation 'at the hospital last night' (?) where someone asked him if blogs will replace news media; his response, 'No, we're entertainment, not news'.

Sheesh; think about it. Of course, I doubt that this event ever occurred; it's part of Kinsella's imaginary interactions with people. But, think about it. He's just said that blogs, which include his own and Kathy's and Kate's and Ezra's, are pure entertainment; they contain no news, i.e., they are not meant to provide facts and information but to 'entertain'.

So, why did he go ballistic and quote endless comments from Kathy's 'entertaining blog'? He himself said that blogs provide no new, i.e., factual information. So?

Oh, and he's cheering on Radwanski's acquital. Remember Radwanski? He's the guy who owed hundreds of thousands in taxes and made a deal with Canada Revenue to only pay about 1/10th of them...oh, and he declared bankruptcy, despite having an expensive home in Rosedale, ..and was then immediately hired by Chretien as 'privacy commissioner'..and proceeded to bill expensive meals and trips to us, the taxpayer.

But Radwanski was only acquited of fraud and the judge said he had 'serious misgivings' about Radwanski's actions but couldn't find proof of fraud. Of course not. Radwanski wasn't doing anything 'fraudulent'. He was doing something unethical and immoral - cheaing the taxpayer by his enormous expenses. Here's what Radwanski, the victim, said:

"Mr. Radwanski told his trial last year he was so focused on business during frequent hospitality lunches that he wasn't even aware of the pleasant surroundings and fine food.

“I could have been eating sawdust,” Mr. Radwanski testified during a cross-examination.

He told Judge Bélanger he went to the upscale restaurants only because they were locales of choice for other top bureaucrats and offered privacy."

Ahh, the poor dear. It was the fault of the 'bureaucrats'. Not him. Just like his getting out of paying his taxes, and then, his friend Chretien, giving him a job. All expenses paid. By the taxpayer.

Notice that such lack of morality and ethical standards doesn't bother Kinsella at all. Not a bit. He approves. That's Kinsella.

I have stopped expecting logic from a segment of society that ignores the mercy killing a 15 year old while trying to ensure the return of a then 15 year old engaged in dubious activities. I don't understand the reason the women's groups are not standing up demanding something other than there is no money in it. I see they think they are winning something but see no positive results in winning.

Isn't this exactly how freedom of speech works? Kinsella does not like something, so he writes letters to the editor, phones people, and tried to convince others to do the same.

I can only assume that my critics lead such sheltered lives that they've never been to a comedy club, where even today, ethnic jokes, insults and observations remain fairly commonplace.

Wait, kathy shaidle - I don't think that you should accept Warren Kinsella's definition of blogs as 'for entertainment and not news';i.e., without the ability or function to 'inform about facts and stimulate analysis.

Blogs do all three. Newspapers used to do all three but have turned away from the role of providing facts and therefore, data-based analysis. The reason for this is because the internet provides facts in a faster and broader and more accurate manner. Newspapers have instead moved heavily into entertainment and propaganda, both of which rely only on mass manipulation.

The reason blogs are so good at all three is because they operate, not as isolate authoritative agents but within a vast networked 'community of observers and analysts' who in many cases don't even know each other.

A blog will write a statement and within two minutes, either on that blog or in another, someone else will provide facts and even analysis that substantiate or that remove the validity of that statement. This Information Network which grounds itself within an enormous host of observers, fact-checkers, and analysts is the strength of the blog.

So, kathy, you aren't a 'sit-down comedian'. You are a blogger; part of a vast network. And yes, the network includes Kinsella, something which he can't accept. He can't accept the 'humble role' of being part of a network and therefore, not Top Dog in Power.
