U.S. President Barack Obama will likely order a military commission to withdraw charges against Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, a suspect in the U.S.S. Cole bombing held at Guantanamo naval base, ABC News reported on Thursday.
The decision, likely to be announced on Friday, would end prosecution of al-Nashiri in the military court system that Obama has criticized and may ultimately dismantle, ABC News reported, citing unnamed sources
Word on the blog street has it that he plans to defend the decision in a photo op session after meeting with Cole bombing survivors and families of 911 victims - perhaps to remind them he "won".
(The reason the 911 families were invited? Just guess.)

Obama is not a leader and, with his extreme narcissistic personality, quite a disaster for not merely the US but the world.
He has no ability to govern, which requires him to develop, plan, analyze, policies and programs. No ability to envisage short and long term results. His focus is only on persuading people to Do His Will. His sole focus is the result of his persuasion; he then feels that he is in control. And he needs that feeling of Control Over You.
Many commentors in the MSM are saying that he's got to stop campaigning and start to govern. But my view is that he can't; he has a basic need to control, to persuade/make you do His Will and that is his only focus.
Whether this is due to his childhood or whatever is totally irrelevant; what is relevant is how he behaves as President. And he behaves as a narcissistic Controller, a Salesman who insists that you buy what he is selling. Again, he is not interested in the content of his products; only in the result - he can make you purchase it.
His tactics are based in his rhetoric: he uses misinformation; and emotional manipulation based on hope and fear; and accusations that you are prejudiced if you reject his Will. He rejects any criticism of his Will; rejects that these criticisms might be based on Reason.
He insists that Senate pass his 'stimulus package' despite the clear evidence that it is filled with pork, that it won't stimulate employment or small businesses; that most of it is going to special interest projects etc.
He blames the Bush administration when he asserts that the current 'crisis' is due to "the same policies that for the last 8 years doubled the national debt"...ignoring that his policies will, in one year, outdo all the years of Bush's debt and furthermore, that the real origin of the problem was in the Democratic Clinton's policies.
He threatens catastrophe unless it is passed; he reminds people that 'they' wanted change and they'd better accept HIS idea of change..or there won't be any change. He, not the people, is in charge.
These are the words of a Sovereign, not a Leader; of a totalitarian not a democratic leader.
How does such a person react when things go against his Will? Viciously.

Krauthammer said that he thought that 'the awakening' to the reality of Obama's Way, would take six months..but now says "It took two and a half weeks".
However, what we still haven't seen except in brief snips, is how Obama behaves when crossed; my predictions is he moves into an instant blind rage. Losing that feeling of Control Over You has that result - like the bottom dropping out under his feet - and he'll react with fear and rage.
As for Obama's changing of the War on Terror from a direct confrontation by the military to one where he persuades them of the Folly of Their Ways - that will be a mess. Obama's normative way of doing things, as a Salesman relying on his rhetoric, won't work here.
