“Great to see scumbags getting worked over ...”
Yes it is! But never forget they also use these same dogs against anyone else who cares to not see things their way, including demonstrators or politically incorrect masses of people as needed.
Guided meat missiles that can hurt of maim without accountability, after all “it’s just a dog”!
In the late sixties of the past century, in a country run by communists, on the border with West Germany (at the time), your agent was a soldier that built communications on the said border (I know, I know).
Now the soldiers that guarded the border they had a number German Shepard dogs at each unit.
These dogs were something fierce, positively killing machines.
Some of the handlers taught the dogs to go after the officers’ hat.
Now that was fun to watch.
Canadian police dogs are much better trained. I'm not sure where this video is from, but those were strictly attack dogs. One of them went after a "good guy" when he was pulled off the bad guy. This lack of discipline works fine in countries with slightly lower expectations of human rights.
Wow. Wouldn't want that to happen to me, they seem like they'd kill if allowed to.
Recall one time this dork thought his doberman would protect him with an impromptu fight on the street. This idiot ( the 'cool' dog owner ) started it, then released his dog to help him, what a laugh when the dog began biting him, the owner. Then the dog ran off.
Still, makes me chuckle; the owner screaming at, then running after the dog with his shirt all ripped in the front, by his own dog.
Forget "man's best friend" - how about civilized society's best friend. How many lives have these canines saved? How many tons of illicit drugs have they taken out of the mainstream? How many lives of police - men and women have they saved?
If a dog has "transgressed" and we have all seen or heard of such instances. Instances where "notorious" dogs have attacked, harmed and even killed humans. You know the usual suspects - German Shepherds, Dobermans, Pit Bulls, Rotty's, among others. Well folks, what they do is the product of human influence.
The stories of dogs being heroic greatly trump those where the dog was not only the cause but the reason. We must always look beyond the act in order to identify the reason for it.
Dogs, like horses and pigs, deserve our respect and deference.
My nephew is a Corrections Officer - mentioned a prisoner had been brought in who was "taken down" by a K-9 officer - it became the talk of the jail - prisoner was chewed up pretty good - he and all the others now and forever very afraid of the dogs being turned loose - "surrender quickly if you hear a woof" - my neighbour is an OPP K-9 handler - nice Shepherd that lives at home with him and his family - plays with my grandkids - just don't make a wrong move - they are a very effective tool in Ontario - mostly search and rescue operations but scary if the handler sets them on you
Jim
Having witnessed first hand a K-9 takedown of a suspect one evening, I recommend the immediate surrender technique if you find yourself against one of these pups. They are 10X faster than you, plus you don't want to get a lot of seperation from the handler, because you want the handler getting the dog off of you as soon as possible.
Toward whichever side is smaller richfisher. Well, unless there's a special "victim" group involved. Then it varies.
In Caledonia the cops -always- face away from the Mohawk Warrior's Smuggling Society, no matter how many cars they've set on fire or how many news crews they've beat up. Its a special deal they have with the McGuinty gubmint.
Sometimes the cops face away from them while they are throwing rocks and bottles at the cops. Gotta protect the heavily armed smugglers from those deadly old ladies and eeeevile white male townies, boy howdy!
When I say cops do what they are told, I'm not kidding.
Incidentally, the cigarette smugglers tried the same crap over in Ancaster at the new fairgrounds site, which is pretty close to the reserve. (google maps are awesome) They packed up and f-ed off back to the reserve shortly after starting their little drum beating ceremony, when the Hamilton-Wentworth police showed up. There was no extended session where grievances were heard etc. They just... left.
Clearly the Hamilton cops were told something different that what the OPP are getting told. No special deal with Hamilton city hall.
I'm a medic, periodically get called to police/fire incidents when someone has been damaged (PD/FD/civilian/perp); trust me, some of the more memorable injuries I've treated have been courtesy of the K9 units. And I know the officers and the dogs, like and trust trust them, but believe me, when you see the K9 Cop shows on TV and hear some adrenaline-hoarse handler screaming at a perp "DO. NOT. FIGHT. THE. DOG!!!! DO! NOT! FIGHT! THE! DOG!!!" it isn't just for effect, it's the best advice he's capable of giving in as few words as possible. They're orders worth following.
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media

have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian

I can't answer or use every
tip, but all are
appreciated!

We'rs sorry, this video is no longer available.
It's just over-loaded with hits ... SDA has a way of doing that.

Could have used a few of these canines at the recent pro-Hamas rallies in Canada.

For a moment, I thought those were Kate's dogs going after the judges when they dont win first place.
Heh
I wonder if the little Shih Tzu I'm babysitting could do that?! Before you scoff, remember the rabbit in Monty Python's Holy Grail movie!!!
Robert W Sure could.. if you threw it hard enough.
Watch and listen closeley, but at the end it is sounds like spinsella saying saying 'sic Shaidle'

I think these might (all) be training videos - the people being attacked are heavily padded
Still - amazing to see the dogs go with such abandon
I wonder if the first guy's gloves were not perfectly covering him - he sounded genuinely in pain.
They certainly are all training videos. Notice the thick padding on the arms, helmets etc.

as my Lord Byron wrote of the Newfoundland dog Bosun...'all the virtues of man and none of the vices".
The cops seem to be French, the dogs German.
Betcha it wouldn't work the other way around.
The Dogs appear to be Belgian as in Belgian Malinois.

Well, this is all just ducky so long as the cops are on -our- side. Living near Caledonia, one sometimes thinks about that.
Cops do what they are told. Careful who you vote for, eh?

Any guesses which way these dogs would face during the Hamas Hez rallies in Toronto?
