A few years back, I stayed at a rather upscale Minneapolis hotel with my son's sports team (everything cheap was full). We weren't in a downtrodden area by any means. When I arose early to go get a Caribou Coffee, I saw the floor maid several doors down. Full burka, only a slit visible for the eyes. I stopped on another floor to see if anyone else on the team was up, lo and behold, another burka, with only a slit visible. The supervisor had no burka and seemed to be able to speak both their native language (Farsi?) and English.

Mall of America was filled with women in Islamic dress, though they weren't dressed in as extreme a manner as the ones cleaning the rooms.

Looks like things haven't changed much.

Hey, the liberal idiots in Minnesota have Al Franken with one foot in the door to the Senate, enough said.

Oh, and Detroit -- home to the largest Arab-American population in the US -- is a Northwest Airlines hub as is Minneapolis.

As Salim Mansur has commented many times in his column the moderate muslim, in this case the Fatah leader, will be shouted down by the militant ones like Hamass. It doesn't take too many of the brownshirts to hijack a peaceful gathering and turn into into a mob.

As we see here in Toronto the muslim protests with their leftist allies can turn out large crowds of protestors that are looking for a spark to ignite into a violent confrontation with our thin blue line of police. Each year more of these thugs pour into Canada always pushing, pushing against our culture while we continually back up.

For fire to happen you need 3 things, a source of heat, oxygen and a fuel.

For western civilization to burn down in flame you also need 3 things, Liberals, their accomplice the main stream media, and immigrants who are here to convert us to their culture/religion.

At the rate things are going in about 20 years western civilization will be drastically changed or people will get fed up and there will be trouble.

Franken, like Bill Mahr is another sloped foreheaded liberal, with the not long out of the trees mentality and looks, the cousins of mine in Minnesota are embarassed that this moron Franken has got as far as he has by cheating. The good people of that state along with every other place that lets this kind of protest happen will have to explain to their children why they let this happen.

Oh, this is an eeeeeasy one. Immigrants from Somalia and other lovely places got fast tracked by INS, that's how. Big Ag needed chicken pluckers and floor sweepers to work for five bucks an hour, and the bureaucrats came through for 'em. A chicken plucker with drug resistant tuberculosis but no English from Crapcanistan can get a Green Card lickety split. A physical therapist from Canada can spend ten loooong years fighting to get one and fail. Do the math.

Now every little town with a food factory in it has a little ghetto of Somalis, and another little ghetto of Mexicans. With the attendant food outlets, of course.

Marshall Minnesota has a very nice Mexican grocery these days, and a halal butcher shop. The local hospital is getting really good at treating exotic tropical diseases, like chagas, AIDS and drug resistant TB. No honor killings so far, but the new kids aren't old enough for high school yet. That's going to be interesting, for sure.

Minneapolis has a great BIG ghetto of yer various Muslims. As soon as their indenture to INS is up (calling a spade a spade here), they up stakes out of the one cow town they got dropped in and move to the Big City.

The various varieties don't get along with each other. Or anyone else, for that matter. Lotsa shootings.

There's really two Minnesotas, just like there's two Ontarios. You have Minneapolis-St. Paul, which is the furthest western pseudopod of the Great Eastern Liberal Blob, then you have -everyplace else-. Take a look at a detailed voting map of the state some time, you see this ocean of Republicans with a dot of Democrats in Minneapolis. Kind of like the sea of CPC blue in Ontario with the red Liberal/NDP dot in Toronto.

The federal government of the USA is as crooked as hell, ladies and gentlemen. They make the Libranos look like a bunch of choir boys, they really do. Not just the big names at the top of the marquee. The little back room weasels, bureaucrats and useful idiots are all just bent like snakes.

Y'all have some serious cleaning up to do down there, take it from me.

Dude, you blog at Powerline, allegedly one of the top conservative US blogs, and you live in MN and you are either a)genuinely shocked, which makes you kinda dim or b) pretending to be genuinely shocked because you're still trying to look enlightened and non-nativist about immigration or something.

I agree with John, Revnant Dream and Friend of USA. This boiling pot of humanity will only expand and make themselves a battle ground here in North America because that is how this evil spreads. Canadians and Americans, of course, do not understand the squabble in a subjective way (no emotional involvement). Dropping fraturious groups like this into peaceful neighbourhoods is a sure fire way to create instability in any country. Why have the citizens of North America allowed this to happen?

Defeat them with ridicule my friends. A lot of good table cloth material went into that silly display. Guilio's on Mott Street has the Yasser Arafat/Ringo Starr booth on hold until the next shipment arrives.

Other demonstrations in such an area surely would have be broken up or contained by police.
