How about the possibility that conservative bloggers and their many responders act on the principle of small "c" ideas as appossed to the check is in the mail Liberal mentality. How about a group of like minded people that cherish individual rights exchange opinions on many issues and what we do personally is our business and nodoys out. Understanding that this offends the very mindthink of socialists this is essentially the line in the sand between those who repesect personal freedoms and the blind followers. Time to isolate WK as he digs his own grave. RIP WK.
Somebody above remains confused in thinking that not appearing on the list means that one did not contribute. Apparently donations below $200 do not get published.
And bafflingly, memberships in the laurier club (talk about elitism) are qualified as donations (1100 per year membership fee paid annually or by monthly contributions, apparently) but are not published on an individual basis by Elections Canada.
Is this a way of covertly donating and participating in this elite circle - can one get a public copy of who its members are?
THE issue here is not that private citizen supporters contribute or not, but that the leader of the official opposition - a man presumably of substantial means - has no public record of having donated to his own party - to his own greater benefit, in fact. Yet he presumably is imploring people of lesser means to contribute.
That we are left with the testamony of an arch-partisan as the only substantiation that he is in fact a fully-paid up member of the laurier club is pathetic, to put it mildly. And if Mr. Ignatieff is truly interested in fostering a grassroots revival of his party, perhaps he should consider resigning from the laurier club and come down from the elitist mountaintop and go to rank and file party gatherings and donate in the same way all of the other non-laurier liberals - with a cheque payable to the LPC.
(Which begs the question: Is the laurier club exclusive or can any one join if they pay the membership?)
It seems that blogging and being a staff weenie in a political party do not go together. The K-Man making stuff up about bloggers he dislikes does not look good on Iggy.
Perhaps Kinsella did not realize that not all conservative bloggers are members of the CPC or necessarily supporters of Stephen Harper.
Given his atrocious record on the free speech file since 2006, it is a wonder that even (or should I say particularly) Ezra Levant is a supporter. His patience is a lot more sturdy than mine would be. I got impatient with Harper by the summer of 2006 and haven't considered donating to the party or working for them in an election since then.
I know, the alternatives are worse. But then I am not withholding much in any case, being a conservative and a climate scientist at the same time is a guaranteed recipe for having a low income.
In any case, Kate has the perfect right to keep her political contributions her own business, I have to say that I find it quite disturbing the way Kinsella and Ignatieff go on, K making lists of what private citizens donate to the CPC, as if it were any of his business, while Iggy affects to place Stephen Harper on parole.
Shouldn't it be Liberals on parole, in about five years, when their Gomery sentences were up perhaps? Oh yeah, I forgot, nobody of any consequence got jailed for the theft of thirty million dollars (and probably much, much more).
Give me a break, putting anyone on parole ... much as it delights me on first principles to have someone controlling a control freak like Harper, the whole notion of Liberals "investigating" anyone for anything has a strong pungency that borders on absurdity.
"So keep at me, Harpies, with Alice and Jason and your race-car-driving payola monkey. My name isn’t on any ballot – and I suspect you aren’t diverting attention away from the real issue, which my 30 million or so friends consider to be the shitty job you are doing running the economy."
"I'm paid to keep my mouth shut". That is a job Warren could never apply for. Warren - there's an old saying that carries alot of truth. "when you fine yourself in a hole - quit digging".
Maybe if the Conservatives spread some of their money to the hard working bloggers who actually have readers they might get some positive press for a change. Sigh but the Conservatives like their Republican cousins are too busy sucking up to MSM hacks saying "Please Like Me Please Like Me" to notice there are bloggers who could actually help them.
It was the no nucleus thing that really caught my attention, Bluetech, sort of like an empty brown envelope. But I fail to see where the initials WK enter into it, I was talking about "The Case of the Sulky Girl", one of my favourite Perry Mason novels.
I'd laugh if Harper decided he would rather not be on parole, and forced an early election to get a more direct mandate to handle the economic crisis his way.
Then we'd see how confident Team Aardvark turn out to be when you have to walk the walk.
Even better if they used climate realism and repeal of Section 13 as the triggers for the election.
It's astonishing to see how liberals can't fathom a person supporting a cause when there are no direct perks received, financial or otherwise... so much so that Kinsella would state, without source, that some conservative bloggers are "covertly paid by the CPC."
News flash Warren: there is such a thing as people whose principles motivate them more than the promise of money or power.
After seeing how the lowlifes like wk can access my private information, I see little reason to change from using a "handle" for comments. Kate has access to my identity and that is fine but I'll be damned to let some leftoid punk try to dig up information on me.
This is so good on so many levels!
a)The Leader doesn't contribute so Kantsellya equates that to a few bloggers.
b)Who may or may not be getting paid by the gov't.
c)If they are getting paid by said gov't, why would they give it back?
d)Oh, I remember, big brown bags of cash from previous gov't to governing political party.
e)All directed from the PMO's office by Warrin' Whatsisname.
f)Bloggers are not beholden to the Conservative Party of Canada. We just speak our mind. Freely
g)I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest Widdle Warren is paid by the Liberal Party of Canada. So take it with the right hand & give it back with the left. You're so brave!
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced

have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice

We can all see how that holds up lol.
Bourque is having a Kinsella BBQ. We should all bring marshmellows to the roast. He really let the cat out of the bag this time.
You know what you could bring to that BBQ, of course... but that would be so wrong (and my tabby won't hear of it)...

Is WikiWarren loosing his marbles?
Can he possibly become any more visibly segregated from the realms of reality?
Is this some lame attempt on his part to bait persons unknown into a weblog maelstrom?
More like an abortive half flush on a low flow porcelain appliance.
Aw, did Kinsella get caught making ANOTHER racist remark and is now trying to deflect?
Ain't that cute.
Iggy, you have a petulant adolescent as an advisor. Thank you.
Below is what Iposted at the linked site:

Schoolyard response to a slight. Oh ya? well your momma....
Must be a political tactic to go after the youth vote... by cleverly acting as an adolescent. He's way, way smart that diner sore guy.
Is money in a brown paper bag considered a donation?

Exterminator, exterminate thyself.
I will hereby emulate my hero Diogenes.
Going forward, I will search the streets at 12:00 Noon, with a flashlight, trying to find a bigger loser.
Yes but the problem with Diogenes is that he
didn't actually do anything, you know, useful.
Cat man like to trash talk.
"So keep at me, Harpies, with Alice and Jason and your race-car-driving payola monkey. My name isn’t on any ballot – and I suspect you aren’t diverting attention away from the real issue, which my 30 million or so friends consider to be the shitty job you are doing running the economy."
Can't remember my exact words when the Iggy controversy broke out, but it was something like ‘it's Iggy's business where he doesn't spend his money.'
Now, this whole issue has predictably reached a less-than-juvenile level.
"Yes but the problem with Diogenes is that he
didn't actually do anything, you know, useful."
Agreed. But you got my point.
"I'm paid to keep my mouth shut". That is a job Warren could never apply for. Warren - there's an old saying that carries alot of truth. "when you fine yourself in a hole - quit digging".
Prokaryotic, even, Set You Free: suits the man, eh what?
I am paid in beer and popcorn.
Kinsella's allegations certainly show clearly the way his mind works.
Like a child when loosing an argument, blow raspberries. Stick tongue out. Spiteful names.
Maybe if the Conservatives spread some of their money to the hard working bloggers who actually have readers they might get some positive press for a change. Huh?
The correct term is "plain brown envelopes."
Not brown bags.
The natural governing party of Canada, and entitlements, HAS its standards....
Vit...you read dictionaries in your spare time right?
I had to get out my '41 Websters for that one.

Thanks Vit.This is fun.
So...WK has shrunk to his pre- gonad state

His chromosomes aren't even organised yet.

one Kelvin kilogram meter² per second³, were you?
