As heard from caller on Rutherford show last week, the CBC will have a new show following Little House on the Prairie called "Welcome Back Kahdr" starring Omar as leader of the sweathogs and Omar's family as the sweathogs. Would definately like to have one of Kadhr's political champions offer to give supervision, shelter and sustenance to this guy and also be FULLY responsible for any and all of his behavior. This Khadr ruckus was something Chretien or Martin had no interest in getting involved in. They ignored him when they were in power.

If they feel he needs to go live with a good Canadian family, are they telling us he needs to be adopted at 22 years of age? Are they finally admitting his old lady and the rest of his family are not fit to take him in? They're admitting they're not a good Canadian family?

But weren't the entire Khadr family, including little Omar, "charity workers" in Afghanistan and Pakistan? Perhaps they should be repatriated by one of those countries.

If he is returned to Canada, I can guarantee there will be a ticket tape parade with Rae and Layton (and a host of other bleeding hearts) waving and crying about the shame of the of the Canadian government. A few months later, a bus will blow up and Poor, Little Lost Boy will be in the thick of it.

My advice to the foster family is to avoid all topics that could trigger his disappointment in them. Avoid news items that would displease him, when that fails switch to plastic cutlery and paper cups at meal times. The problem with opinion polls is that they never present the background to his case.

The MSM and pollsters do not stress that he is the prime suspect in the killing of US Medic Chris Speer, and the wounding of Sgt. Layne Morris. Morris and Speer's widow have been awarded +$102 M by a Utah civil court, for damages against the estate of Khadr Sr.
Unless you believe the Utah civil court is a kangaroo court, which welcomes coerced evidence, you would have to conclude there is some evidence
against Khadr.
Let the case proceed in a regular US court, Khadr and his crack legal team can abide by the decision.

The sad truth is that even if this little creep were tried in Canada and convicted, he would receive double credit for time served, which would amount to 12 years credit, so a sentence of, say 10 years would allow him to immediately be released and the vermin would be back on the street within hours.

Unfortunately, most of the public are ill-informed about the Khadar issue, so the "bring him home" mantra just pulls at the heartstrings and makes Harper look "mean", for resisting. It is a typical political dirty trick and has little to do with either what would bring justice in the Khadar case or what would be in the best interests of Canadians.

We closed our facilities of detention and redemption,St. John's Schools. I have not seen the tapes of him planting mines that may have killed US Forces (same location), nor have I heard mention of same from MSM. What is the agenda? People do not want him back. When did the people involved become concerned about rights? Why Omar's rights and not mine or your kids?

I think Omar Khadr should be charged with treason (preferrably adult court) as soon as he sets foot in Canada. He went to Afganistan knowing full well he was fighting against the UN mission of which Canada was a part.
Clearly he was brainwashed by his father, but the fact remains, he knew what he was doing.
Ignorance of the law is no defense and to suggest that young Omar was oblivious of the illegality of what he doing is patently ridiculous. He received military training and was fully prepared to do battle.
I hope he can be rehabilitated, but first he needs to face up to what he's done to his fellow Canadians.

Prior to any consideration of charges for treason (not sure when the last charges for treason were laid in Canada), Khadr should be tried on the charges brought up from his actions on the battlefield...where it happened. Afghanistan. If he is found guilty there and if there is anything left of him after that, then charge him with treason if they insist on sending him back to Canada.
