Fruits Of Multiculturalism

"It's a gift, a gift," says Ali,

At the market in Belleville, three women curse each other in French and Arabic as they fight over a bag of leeks.

OMG.What is happening there? All the white flag factories go out of business? Or are they just reverting to the "Bourgeios French Way"??

This report is somewhat deceptive.

Sadly, the end-of-market-day scramble for unsold, discarded produce at Belleville has been going on for years.

A good example of how the media can create "news".

I can guarantee there will be no "gleaning" go on in my fields. Ever.

Gee this has been going on forever by the bums in Edmonton. Only here they also "gleem" from cars.

Left-wing activists have been organizing "wild picnics" in supermarkets for the past few months, taking products off the shelves and offering them to customers for free -- a creative interpretation of a French law that gives customers the right to taste certain products before buying them.

Can you imagine a left-tard taking a prairie farmer's goods as they stand on a market stall and giving them away to people for free? LOL How long do you people think that would go on? ;)

Let them it cake and if this causes beheadings it will not be a new experience in French history and acceptable to its new voting mass. please Sarkozy take Quebec ,sil vous plait!

"Fruits Of Multiculturalism"

....more like the gift of unrestrained immigration.

Food supplies and welfare systems strained to breaking by a ballooning population.

Read the EEC security priority projections for the next 30 years...they seem to be correct in assuming authorities will have to respond quickly to "flash mobs" rioting over food and goods during an era of severe shortage....open borders have only one end effect.

I can guarantee there will be no "gleaning" go on in my fields. Ever.

Sounds like Clint Walker, in "Deadly Harvest".

I'll be sure to stay well away from your fields. Could you please post your land description, so I can enter into my GPS as a no-go zone?

I do a fair amount of work near Taber, and there sure are a lot of potatoes just lying on the ground after harvest. I'll confess that if I'm there before they get sunburned, I will grab a few. When I'm working in peas, I really cant help myself.

Hey dp ,won't give my gps but if your sorry ass steps on my farm for "gleanings" good luck. If my dogs don't convince you that you have made a bad choice I will convince you with my shot gun. Now understand that I am not really good with the gun thing so I use a big one that sprays lots of ouchy pellet things causing bears and coyotes to run so probably you'll run too.
I happily give to those who need a hand up but that's my choice not my obligation.

Let them it cake and if this causes beheadings it will not be a new experience in French history and acceptable to its new voting mass. please Sarkozy take Quebec ,sil vous plait!

I'm guessing you're too ignorant to know the meaning of the word abstruse or beefwit and too lazy to read what Sarkozy said while he was in Quebec. Let alone have have any appreciation for what life is like outside your white protestant bubble. Have a nice life beefwit! I know my Quebecois cousins are doing just that. I'll let 'em know you still care! xxx

barbara frum liberal Channeling?

all we have read about is "CULTURED BIN DIVING" the french way

we have bin divers here in Terannna, they are just not "cultured":-))))

janet,

"please Sarkozy take Quebec ,sil vous plait"

there was a cartoon in one of the french dailies here in montreal this week that featured de gaulle and sarkozy on the infamous balcony in montreal shouting vive! vive le quebec! vive le quebec... libre! sarkozy is shown to be saying at the same time "shutup - you stupid old asshole."

sarkozy is a real disappointment to the secessionists in quebec. late last year he declared a sea change in unofficial policy re: france's official policy toward nationalists in quebec. sarkozy, as president of the republic, said very clearly (making it official) that encouraging divisive behaviour (promoting separatism) was a very bad idea. meddling in the sovereign affairs of canada would be henceforth be discouraged.

this has only taken fourty some-odd years to happen but is imho, welcome anyway.

i think france has more than enough problems on its plate at the moment without getting the socialists of qc involved.

I wondered why his last name was "bin Laden".

He must have been targeting the full ones.

OK, lame, but it sounded funny in my head.

So, French welfare checks have stopped, I'm not buying the desperate tone of this article.

Thanks Sarkozy, maybe that will wake those separatists jerks up and they will get their act together.

Hey Bf, you don't know me, my level of education or why I say the things I chose to say, that defines abstruse, now Beefwit, truly I do not know what that means but I can be witty and UMMMH I love beef,so perhaps I am beefwitty.
My question to your point is what's your point, surely it can not that Sarkozy supports a separate Quebec,I wish I had time to lazy, trust me that is my goal, but not yet, alas.
Really during the french revolution people losted their head,it was the best of times .it was the worst of times ... surly we can do better?

dp....step in my garden, and try to get a potatoe, carrot, parsnip, string bean, etc, you better hope janet gets you first, cause I am a better shot. However,my next door neighbour wants to come over and help himself to some lettuce,or radishes,or whatever,he is quite welcome, because he helps me out.Spot the difference???

janet,

babs is just not willing to be polite or share because you are an independent landowner who is confident about protecting your private property.

deep down there is a real love for diversity. deep down.

as barbara might might say - "thank you for that."

I blame global warming.

justthinkin ,I maybe I should learn how to handle a firearm properly, all my neighbours are skilled and you are right ,anything I can do to help them out I would do and they have helped me on my learning curve as a rural landowner.

HaHaHa

You're not the first sodbusters to threaten my life. Don't start feeling too proud. The only reason I ever step on farmland is to stake oil leases. When farmers get too annoying, I usually send them packing. You pull a gun on me, goodbye. Besides, it takes more than owning a gun to shoot somebody.

I worked on Weatherby's land just after he murdered his wife and her friend. They found them under some hay bales near where I was working. My brother staked a well on Roszko' farm a year before he wasted those mounties. I had Ollie Ost threaten me in 1976, then again in 1999. I've been on ranches where you could disappear, and managed to get home for over 30 years. If I needed your food, I'd take it. I just don't need it right now.

The message is clear. Only a healthy dose of socialism can save France from eating too much discarded yogurt.

I wonder how taut a taint Sarko has now with the day of love approaching?

BTW- I've never stolen anything. Anything I've ever taken home was a gift. God, you farmers are a self righteous lot. You should try working for a living, just once.

I'd love to join in but I think I'd need to read the link first...but my firewall says that link is infected.

well at least he has had time to sound a warning.
besides, he will have carla to comfort him for the moment, if things don't go as well as they should.

in montreal - they are trying to discourage the time-honoured tradition of jay-walking by ticketing offenders. true montrealistes do not pay attention to any red light green light stuff.

good pedestrians assess the situation and act. this in a city where clipping pedestrians is truly territorial and successful drivers are given credits!

"the poor will always be with us..."

i blame human nature(remember that as the Germans say opportunity makes a thief)and government that for whatever reason encourages sloth....

nowadays as we all drown in the bounty capitalism provides there are STILL the grifters drug users the weakwilled and intentionally spineless who prey on our charity....ironically enuff in Mayhew's words..'those that will not work"

...but my firewall says that link is infected.

me too

Firewall problems....details...

"How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.” George Washington Carver.

No one really knows what level they will stoop too for survivals sake. It is easy call people bums - drug addicts - they just bring it on themselves right - well there are a whole lotta overweight people too - who will become a drain on our tax dollars soon. Then there are the aging boomers - no longer useful. The mentality I see is the deserving versus the undeserving poor. Be honest with yourself - what would you be willing to do to ensure that you and your loved ones don't starve or live out on the streets? I've worked with many "street people" none want to be there despite what you may hear via MSM. They stay because they do not feel worthy nor able to fit back in. Many times it is tragedy or mental illness that brings them there. Many have PTSD. Who decides who is deserving? Some can handle a drug alcohol or otherwise recreational some can not - some people have loving support systems to get them through the hard times in life - others do just get judged for their weaknesses and end up worse. Soon we all may end up on the street or fighting over the last morsel for a meal. - judge not lest ye be judged. You could be hit by a car or in a serious accident tomorrow and have to survive on a paltry disability sum.If you are strong and resent the weak then don't expect the strong to assist you when you are weak because guaranteed someday you will be.

danin. me too.

Me 3. Something wrong with that link. Some "virus scanner" attempted to install itself on my computer.

When I hit the link a pop up appear and hyjacked my computer, it said your computer is infected and precedes to take over. You have to reboot because you can't shut down the link.

Same as Lori.

For all of you with firewall probs,I suggest a different firewall,or ISP,ASAP.Not a darn thing wrong with the link.

no-one:
Keep thinking about unicorns & happy leprecuans.
Obviously you have never worked with or around said homeless.
One example. In a park one bbum has his bag lady clean his butt in public as he was having an attack of diarreah fromn drinking shampoo. This is a family park. Two daycare, where wakling by with 60 odd kids as he & his companion exposed themselves, doing this right in fron to them.
Your right some of therm have uncontrolable problems. Its why we had Mental institutions for them. Not throwing them on the streets to starve or attack others, than call it freedom. It why knives have become so prevelant. You see in a socialist society its only the normal people who are bad, not the victims of society.
I take it you wouldent mind them stealing all your goods or car because they need a fix?
Frankly its your sort that enable them to nevert seek or get help. Your too busy bleeding for hardened men or women who would think nothing of killing you for a buck. They do it amoung themselves. How do I know? Iv'e had to clean up the blood from the where the bodies where found.

RevnantDream: I agree that many "street people" do some bizarre things due to drug use or a mental illness-that man should have been jailed. The problem is in the 80's (when the first food banks began to crop up)Mulroney privatized everything and most mental institutions were shut down as were a good many hospital beds; hence the problem we have now-not enough facilities for mental problems or drug problems to treat people. Many chronic substance users need long term, at least a year, in a treatment program - 28 days of AA meetings (utterly useless model for treating addiction btw-but it is provided free so it's promoted) is why you are coming across said experiences at parks. My point was, and I apologize for it not being as obvious as it should have been is this: Our world is becoming so insane that mental health issues and substance abuse/misuse/use is dramatically on the rise - the root of the problem needs to be addressed - it hurts us all, as your experience and those of the day care kids clearly indicate, not to reverse some of the former policies regarding institutions and treatment facilities. Our society is getting sicker period - we are aging and experiencing the diseases that come from that. My fear is that the government will attempt to brainwash us and my younger counterparts into believing the cure lies in euthanasia or assisted suicide. It is the aged duty to die honorably and not be a drain on the resources (pension fund & health system) of the young or strong - in other words go sit on a piece of ice and float out into the ocean. In Germany they started eliminating the "trash" of society first and moved on up. Who decides who is worthy of using our hard earned tax dollars? There was more than enough money to address these issues - instead it went to lining crooked politician and Big Business' pockets. Unfortunately, now things (laws, policy, social agenda) are more or less controlled by the Global Elite whose only interest is power and lining their own pockets. They could care less about those who are sick or aging. I believe the health care crisis was construed - planned. Easier to convince us its our "duty" to go as they have in some Scandinavian countries. Lord help us!

Yep, either Reuters or one of their advertisers has been hacked, redirecting browsers to antimalwarescanner.com, which is almost certainly attempting to install malware rather than scan for it.

Either they've been hacked or Reuters is actually desperate enough to accept that type of advertising on their site. Can't really rule it out these days.

Someone should delete those death threats. I know they weren't serious, but they might get someone in trouble. A farmer once told someone on a rig I was supervising that he was going to shoot at the water truck. The consultant called the RCMP, and the farmer ended up losing his firearms, temporarily.

I realize no one was serious about shooting me, so I'd hate to see anybody run into problems.
