Flight 1549 For America

Obama's worst enemy is overblown praise. A little self-deprecating humour on his part would go a long way.

I truly wish him well, however, he so far reminds me of Canada's windbag Paul Martin Jr. for whom every issue was a top "priority" and was all dither, in reality.

As far as Canadian MSM go, they have been into Obama foreplay mode for the past year and today is Obama ORGASM Day.

Bernard Goldberg calls it media "Obama slobbering."

Or as Sean Avery might say, Canadian MSM and 'sloppy Obama seconds'

It seems to me that Obama is paving the way for an explosion of trauma counselling as deluded lefties get tossed out of the spin machine and are left wondering what the hell happened!

I mean seriously, you can only call yourself GOD so many times before people expect a parting of the waters!

If one equates progressive socialism with tyranny, which I do, at some point those in the future will look back with wonder at how the first (almost) black president, a symbol of the triumph of freedom over slavery, turned around and enslaved the entire country to Socialism.

Obamao. Not really black nor white, just pure RED.

The Captain deserves a lot of credit, no doubt. The more I find out about the response the more amazed I am. The restaurant that served soup and coffee. The owner said he did not have any blankets but he had 1,000 tablecloths and chef uniforms. The ferry service has weekly disaster drills. A whole lot of people doing as we would do and it amazes us. I don't like the hoopla, not too fond of Mr. Obama but I sincerely hope I am amazed at the end.

The main worrisome characteristic of Obama, I feel, is his extreme narcissism that seems to have moved him out of the realm of reality into the purely fictional world.

He operates, always, as if he were appearing in some gigantic wide-screen Hollywood Epic. As director and star. A mixture of Clint Eastwood and Tom Cruise. His insistence on Epic Imagery, from his speech in Berlin, to his deliberate alignment of himself with Lincoln, setting up an image of himself as the New or Reborn or Risen from the Grave Lincoln.

He operates, too, as if in a film script, where you can change the words and actions and do re-takes. That comes out in his constant flip-flops of decisions. To him, decisions don't have real life consequences because you can always 'do another take'. That's the comparison to Paul Martin, Mr. Dithers, as noted above. But Martin wasn't operating in a film, whereas Obama is.

His narcissism is a basic characteristic that has led him to reject hard work experience for fabricated image, (he's already written two books about himself); his 'President-Elect podium', well, there's our very own Jean Chretien as another example.

I'm not against imagery and pomp; every people and nation need such. The British coronation is an example - but whereas the Queen, in keeping with tradition, had to acknowledge the supremacy of the people and herself as only a symbol of the people's power, with Obama we have the opposite. He's Director, Star and Sovereign. Sovereign in the old sense of Unrestrained Ruler. Now, that role is worrisome.

And his insistence to Americans of all ethnic groups that 'you can do it' is 'good talk'. But what I find disturbing is his tendency to live in a fictional film world where his agenda is to control the image, the film, while ignoring that underneath, reality is quite different.

I'm wondering if the O's are going to go missing from all of the keyboards in the Capitol building?
Nah. - Probably not.

The lesson of Flight 1549, no doubt ... thank God that a white Republican was at the controls.

And don't mess with Canadian concepts.

Probably true. Regardless Barrack Obamba is an admitted “affirmative action” charity case. In other words a second rater! Nothing can change that regardless of how much you (anyone) hope otherwise. America has gone from the land of inspiration and innovation to the land of second rate lackeys doing the bidding of the corporation. No action hero’s there, except affirmative action zero’s and allot of hope.
