If there is another war I wonder if history will repeat itself in the job market. Conscientious objectors nobody would hire, and C's after V's, Conscripts after Volunteers.

I remember asking my father why he had hired an x German soldier instead of Canadian at his restaurant, this was in the early 50's. His reply was pretty straight forward, he had the guts to fight for his Country and there aren’t other real men left to hire, he was referring mainly to conscientious objectors. But even Summerskill, a former Labour Party councilor, wouldn't agree with those statements, because neither invokes the statist/left's fetishization of the...exotic peoples of the world, with all the excuse-making that entails.
