The reason for Kate McMillan's Small Dead Animals internet blog success, is clearly a combination of things.
First of all, the internet and SDA's ability to bypass leftist Canadian MSM gatekeeping of information. is the only vehicle currently available for a true conservative voice in Canada.
There is NO Conservative National MSM in this country!
Kate's conservative positions and her ability ability to cut to the heart of any issue concisely with a minimum of words is unmatched in this country BAR ABSOLUTELY no one toiling as a Canadian journalist.

Sadly, Stephen Harper our Prime Minister missed a golden opportunity to shake up the Red Carpeted Senate (or Canada's political boar's nest) in Ottawa by not naming conservative Catherine (Kate) McMillan from Delisle Saskatchewan, to fill the Saskatchewan Senate seat vacancy.
The Senate would have had a "second coming" rebirth with Kate as a member.

There being no other identifiable policy or principle for which the current version of the CPC stands, apart from making sure Stephen Harper is Prime Minister, we can safely call it a one-issue party.
Its issue?
Just this: making sure Stephen Harper remains Prime Minister.
What will he do with this position?
Increase government spending?
Or decrease government spending?
Reject deficits?
Or accept deficits?
Reform Canada's democratic system?
Or further abuse Canada's democratic system for partisan ends?
Refuse to set a firm end-date for the Afghanistan mission, and accuse those who ask for one of failing to support the troops?
Or set a firm end-date for the Afghanistan mission in order to win votes during an election?
Ultimately, it doesn't matter and hasn't mattered to the trained seals in the CPC.
The so-called 'Conservative Party' has shown that it is nothing--absolutely nothing--but a machine dedicated to keeping Stephen Harper in power, regardless of what positions he takes, principled or unprincipled.
That's their one issue, because they are currently a pseudo-party existing to serve the personal agenda of a single man who has shown--repeatedly--that he has no principles to speak of, apart from a desire to remain Prime Minister.
It is sad indeed to reflect on these facts on the anniversary of the birthday of a real Conservative and a real nation-builder named John A Macdonald.
