I listened to his Inauguration Speech today. I also listened to the reaction from the crowd. Throughout most of it there were few wild cheers. In fact, the Obama talking today sounded more like a stern parent warning his children that papa had lost the high-paying job and now was going to be making a lot less, so they’re going to have to start contributing too.
Saying that to a bunch of Lefties who were all set to dine for free at the buffet line for 4 years probably doesn’t sit very well.
It’s all cheers & happiness at sites like http://DailyKos.com today but just wait a few months and soon reality will set in for these folks too.

It was actually a fairly good record of the public activities of the Bush Presidency. Some partisanship to be sure, but that didn’t make it any less useful as a historical record. It would be a tragedy if it were all just thrown into the trash.
I’m certainly glad I saved a number of photos from the site over the last few days – including the last picture of President & Mrs. Bush taken at the North Portico this morning. I knew the site would be changing, but I admit to some surprise it was so fast and so complete a change.
And now the 43rd WHITE president can relax and rest because he has handed the torch to the 44th BLACK president. Ain’t color wonderful???
