Y2Kyoto: The Commute Of Ms. Jane Lubchenco

David Freddoso;

The renowned climate-change crusader and professor of marine biology is Obama’s choice for administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

[...] In the e-mail, [her husband] is enthusiastic about the appointment, but he also mentions the “the hardships it will impose on us and our academic family.” Their solution? “The plan is for her to be in WDC and me to remain in Oregon at OSU, with frequent weekend trips back and forth...”

She must be a member of the reknown David Suzuki fly club - Fatass Carbon Footprints R Us.

Perhaps Lizzy May could be co-pilot on these frequent trips as she is Green and has extra time on her hands seeing as how she won't be involved in the Canadian senate.

The High Priests of all cults operate without pity, remorse or the obligations that mere mortals must contend with.

Oh those hypocritical global warming alarmists. Or are they? Please note it was Jane's husband that made the commuting comment.

Conservatives always make the presumption that spouses must have identical ideologies and values. This kind of caveman thinking is not shared by liberals. We progressive liberals encourage independence and encourage our spouses to think for themselves.

Government aircraft don't contribute to global warming you guys. Only -private- aircraft do.

Kind of like all that air and water pollution in China doersn't really hurt anybody, 'cause its collective.

Remember, Kapitalism Kills!

We progressive liberals encourage independence and encourage our spouses to think for themselves. *

*As long as they come to the same conclusions as us, that is.

"Conservatives always make the presumption that spouses must have identical ideologies and values. This kind of caveman thinking is not shared by liberals. We progressive liberals encourage independence and encourage our spouses to think for themselves."

Oh I see not stirred. I guess that explains why the "progressive" media was continually trying to smear Sarah Palin over her husband's ties to the Alaskan Independence Party.

not stirred enough said --We progressive liberals encourage independence and encourage our spouses to think for themselves. That's not my experience ,lefties are experts at towing the party line, they all follow thier masters equally.

Quote:
"We progressive liberals encourage independence"
Just like Iggy and the other sheep did, when they signed the coalition letter with which they disagreed.

Uh Stir Crazy, the husband explained their plan of action not simply made a comment on his own behalf.

At least one thing has been proven by Not Stirred Enough, the progressives including himself have poor reading comprehension which helps explain alot.

Weenies like -not smart enough- only come here to stir up comment and upset our digestion of breakfast.

Feed thou not the trolls, lest they spawn and multiply.

Still, the comment is amusing for its dissonance. If there's one thing liberals don't encourage its thought. Independent or otherwise.

You folks don't understand. Actually doing something to fight global warming (I don't believe that the earth is warming, but I'd bet that Jane Lubchenco does) is, like paying taxes, for little people, not for the people who know what's best for the rest of us.

Kate - just a little challengeto all bloggers and readers to do something to ACTUALLY make a difference - prove that the right does have a heart and when others complain, we DO!

From what I've seen and heard, encouraging their spouses to be independent is not as big a problem for progressive liberals' marriages as deciding who portrays the male role model in child raising.

If they both use bicycles and stay over at "recently donated guest houses" of the People's Militia while traveling to meet at a common point, that should be acceptable.

But she will be buying carbon credits. Probably from Fat Albert.

Why do people bother to get married any more? These modern marriages are so shallow.

As for hypocrisy in the global warming crowd, the list has grown so long that I don't know how anyone can take these people seriously any more.

Marine biology??? What next? The "O" appoints,oh I don't know,a boy scout to be Chief of Staff?
And you think NOAA was screwed up before?

The Special Olympics would like to thank you all for continually being a source of awareness concerning intellectual disabilities.

thinking people don't, it's just lieberals that do!!

not stirred enough;

If you re-read the post, it's fairly obvious to anyone with reading comprehension skills that "Their solution" implies a discussion and agreement between both spouses.

What I'd like to know is that since most of you leftards drop your maths and sciences (which explains the seemingly chronic inability to think logically) at the earliest opportunity, what else did you have to do other than show up for English comp classes?

Contrast Ms. Jane Lubchenco's conduct with those of Canadian Senator Nancy Greene's insight.

Contrast also, PMSH's HR skills with those of Zero's.

Way back in 2005, Nancy knew it was all a Hoax.

[But producer Karen Coshof , who is also the producer of The Great Warming and Secrets, made the mistake of asking Olympic gold-medal skier and entrepreneur Nancy Greene Raine to be one of the talking heads. Raine said sure, but, in an e-mail to Coshof, said she wanted to write her own message and added "I would need your assurance that it would be used." On Nov. 15, Coshof replied "Of course you can write your own, and you have my personal assurance it will be used."

Raine's draft stated: "Scientific discoveries in the years since the Kyoto Protocol was signed have rendered it out of date. It is time to re-evaluate Canada's position ... The Kyoto Protocol is not in our best interest, and will not prevent climate change. The billions being wasted trying to stop this natural phenomenon should be diverted to solving real environmental problems that we can control."

That's when the back-pedaling began.

"We cannot send political messages in these clips," Coshof wrote to Raine, "Our focus is on urging action." ] Lorne Gunter

Jesue, McMillan, cheerful right up to the last minute, eh?

Another troll heard from. Business slow over at the blog, Maudlin/O'Rourke?

Aren't you banned from this place, btw?

Now,now,Phantom.Be nice to the trolls. After all,the lesser beings need love too!Oh.And Shane O'Rouke.Know any good Irish jokes, besides yourself?

America the Great, you just don't comprehend what you are in for. The fabric of a great and vibrant Country is about to be slowly and methodically eaten away by socialist sloths such as lubchenco. Truly fear for your Country, this change is you will regret.

Come now Kate, you cannot expect them to just up and move the whole family to the new job!!!

That only applies to us peons who work for a living.

Is she the one who swims with sea otters? Must be. I think I saw her eating oysters by pounding them on her belly with a rock.

Now waiting for Just Stirred to start quoting Orwell.

Re: Ms. Jane Lubchenco's appointment, and hubby's long commute.
To reduce their carbon footprints, they might consider meeting every third weekend or so.
Come to think of it, the healthy couple probably HAS given it some thought .... and so have their respective, attractive assistants......

Human nature, such a difficult master......

"We progressive liberals encourage independence"

Had I been drinking milk, it would have been all over my keyboard. What an utter pile of horse sh*t this statement is. Progressive liberalism promoting independence? I'd laugh if the suggestion wasn't so outrageous.

Nancy must have a brain; real scientists go to the grave questioning & re-assessing thier theory. Science moves near the speed of light

Trivia but related,
I have a Physicist (trained but spent his career in main frame computers) friend who was one of the Infamous Xerox Brain team. He was of the opinion that the ideas, high in the Sky, where valid but the technology of the time failed them (brick walls). The Apple, Mouse, object code etc. all had thier Genesis from that group. He was constantly reviewing the rejected ideas and applying existing State of the Art. He made a lot of money developing obvious, to him, bridging products.

He and I shared a fondness for good Scotch, he had the brain & i had a budget!

'encourage our spouses to think for themselves' -stirred up

'Don't worry about her (Margret Trudeau). She wouldn't know what we we're saying, even if we were speaking English" - PET comments on wife at party.

Yessirreee, the 'progressive liberals' always set the best examples in marriage.
