This just goes to prove that you can fool some of the people all of the time. It's pretty pathetic that those continually fooled are those who are supposed to be informing us.

"It's pretty pathetic that those continually fooled are those who are supposed to be informing us."

They're not fooled, they're in on the fooling!

Hurray for Madoff, he seems to have chopped up the lefty orgs. Maybe the enviro-liars got beat up too,

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/12/16/43232/543/693/673580

For my part in saving the world, we went out and bought grocery bags made of some sort of cloth, (cotton?), instead of using all those plastic grocery bags, which we used to use as kitchen garbage bags.

Now, we have to buy plastic kitchen garbage bags, which come in a cardboard box, which means a tree perished.

I am confused, and don't know whether I am a net contributor to Climate Change, or carbon neutral.

I shall feel a slight amount of guilt, but will balance that by putting a few bucks in the Salvation Army kettle at Wal-Mart.

The new, "post-booming economy" government should appoint regional "environmental advisors", to assist confused citizens like me , and help to make the world a better place, and provide more nice safe government jobs, to alleviate the unemployment situation.

This would be a good alternative for displaced forestry workers. Former fallers, buckers, skidder and loader operators would make great EA's. We need several thousand EA's here in B.C. alone.

If the federal government wishes to reward me for this stroke of genius, I will gratefully accept a seat in the Senate.

Thank you, and Merry Christmas

What else can you say, that pretty much sums it up.

Is there a federal politician anywhere in North America with the balls to publicly denounce the fraud and false hysteria of MMGW?

Or is there not a single politician with the character/integrity to put their countrymen's interests ahead of their own party's fortunes?

Lib, Rep, Dem, Con, Dip, I'm tiring of all these lying partisan c*cksuckers steering us into the toilet as they consume themselves with their neverending fight for power.

Partisanship is slowly strangling the western world to death.

(I swear, as I finish typing this, I am now hearing a report on the radio that global warming will cause an increase in kidney stones.)

I guess I'll have to keep relying on the likes of Dennis Miller, Glenn Beck, and even...yes....Kate...to keep my sanity in the midst of a society trying to dismantle itself.

How about big belly Al Gore and big ass Oprah hitting the road in a wee little smart car to spread the meessage...the first pot hole they hit the tie rods will bust off.

I'm with you robins111. While Madoff does have to go to jail, surely blowing up a main funding source for "progressives" has to count as time off for good behaviour.

"They're not fooled, they're in on the fooling!"

Then they must have a really sophisticated electrified fooling machine of some sort to help out with the foolification.

"Now, we have to buy plastic kitchen garbage bags, which come in a cardboard box, which means a tree perished."

I feel the same level of confusion when they ask me "paper or plastic" at one of the local grocery stores. Well gee I don't know...kill a tree or send a plastic bag to a landfill??? Oh save me Al!!

...kill a tree or send a plastic bag to a landfill???

Relax , they both still BURN .

That cartoon is the exact purpose behind Kyoto.

Hey, y'all git on over to Australia and sign the "BIG LIST"

The Kyoto Fraud would have never ever Ever EVER got this far without the Media's help. Their conduct the last decade has been disgraceful. No, fraudulent. No, dangerous. No, libelous.

I hope the applicable response is forthcoming soon.

The climate change scam is the second biggest in history, the first biggest is that there is a supernatural being who created the heavens and the earth as a backdrop for humanity.

Once you have brought into believing in something that cannot be proved, you will easily believe in another something that cannot be proved ... or ... you will alternately believe in something that cannot be proved. Various beliefs have a way of trumping each other depending on what peer group or what university has influenced you the most when you were young and vulnerable.

Nextly, you may perhaps believe that your government leaders can protect you (with ever increasing amounts of your money) from something that cannot be proved, but will surely destroy our planet very soon, but at a date to be determined ... ah .... later.

One must 'create' a lot of weird science to look authentic. However, every five years the date of destruction is moved back five more years. That is part of what makes authenticity difficult to maintain. That breeds environmental heresy.

The destruction continually fails to occur, but the belief is maintained. Why? Because if one stops believing in the BS, one might then be faced with reality. Most humans do NOT want to deal with reality. Reality does not fit the current view of the world we have been living in. Reality would cause more panic than the destruction of the planet due to global warming.

Finally, there is a sucker born every minute and that is the basis upon which our leaders rule us.

I think we were better off when believing in the Deity had the monopoly. The Deity people never asked for more than 10% plus a weekly visit to the house of worship. Ridding one's self of guilt in that system was much cheaper and easier. Some loose change tossed in a basket did the trick.

What we have going now is a very very expensive Guilt Bubble. I hope is bursts soon.

Canadian Observer:

There Are several - a hundred to two hundred - republican senators and congressmen who have spoken out quite forcefully against AGW.

There also many (a majority perhaps or more) who very much believe that AGW is a scam. However the nature of how our system is organized in CDA and the rest of the commonwealth makes it very difficult to speak put against the party line because the executive branch needs the confidence of the house to stay in power (and vice versa).

"The Kyoto Fraud would have never ever Ever EVER got this far without the Media's help."

Pity them, for most are brain-damaged status-seekers willing to go along with the status quo as long as it means a paycheque, recognition and not having to think too hard.

robins111: "Hurray for Madoff, he seems to have chopped up the lefty orgs. Maybe the enviro-liars got beat up too,"

O, beautiful! If you can stand dailykos, check it out. See whose oxen were gored. The likes of ACLU and Amnesty International. Please let Greenpeace be on the next list.

Several all-time cold records have been set in BC during this cold spell, in particular, -15C at Vancouver Airport, which is right on the ocean, usually the 'warmest' place around.

What will it take for the sheeple of our world to realize that we are getting lied to, at the largest of proportions?

I was in the Dr's office yesterday, and while waiting for my son to get out, I picked up a copy of Canadian Geographic magazine. Now, I remember looking at this as a teenager, but just as a 'nature' mag. Was I surprised to see now, that this mag is little more than a cover to cover propaganda manual for the latte-elitists. it was shameful, the language especially.

It's a sad comment on today's 'science' that 'solid science' is based upon 'might', 'could', 'ifs' and 'maybes', as was evident throughout.

There is no more critical thought in the scientific community, just big warm group hugs where they all get that warm and fuzzy consensus feeling. Woo-Hoo!

Jack:

So, you believe the Central Committee of humans did a bad job with the universe, missing a design flaw when they put the sun in the sky?

Don't want to put words in your mouth, but what's your explanation of how the universe came to be, in particular, how did an explosion of inanimate objects evolve into complex biological organism?

Being in denial is not a sign of wisdom.

Jack - "Reality would cause more panic than the destruction of the planet due to global warming."

Exactly !! How many millions of Gore & Suzuki followers are now middle aged ? - with nothing of value to put on a resume' !!

(Off topic--sorry!

Felis, could you please tell me how to access motets with the music to sing along. I stumbled on Victoria's "O Magnum Mysterium" today and remembered that you had posted a similar delight. Thanks.)

Gord Tulk,

If I am to believe what you claim, then I can only conclude they are completely muzzled, ignored or censored by the media(certainly not unimaginable, from what I've witnessed) because I have yet to hear a political speech that refers to MMGW as a complete fraud.

Links to any such declarations made by prominent politicians would certainly be a boost to my moral.

Set you free,

You apparently have all the answers now, so why ask me?

I simply accept that I cannot explain how everything got to be here. It is simply beyond my understanding and I can live with that. The problems arise around the fact that most people cannot accept the reality that some things cannot be explained or more importantly ... proved!

I have my reality and you have your beliefs. I can live with that too.

"Several all-time cold records have been set in BC during this cold spell"

It's always amusing to hear from the AGW crowd when they attempt to ridicule the heretics. You know, when they say "you deniers are morons equating a few cold days in Winter meaning that "Global Warming" doesn't exist."

The irony is astounding, but now that words and concepts are redefined regularly by agendists the confusion is understandable.

Or maybe the confusion only exists in the collective mind of the mainstream media, whose primary goal is to sell advertising.

"Look, I'm freaked-out (by the latest manufactured cause du jour), you should be too!"

what's your explanation of how the universe came to be

Based on the Climate Change in Calgary recently I'm not too sure that the planet hasn't spun off it's orbit and gone twirling into cold, dead space.

Believing in evolution takes more faith than believing in creation.
The rule of pyhisics is that everthing goes from complete organization to chaos.
evolution is based on sceintific theories in which this rules out the most basic rule of pyshics,so in order to beleive that evolution is the only way that is possiable for humans to be on this planet, than you have to get rid of the firist rule of pyshics which would be impossiable for all true science must be based on pyshics.
If you could take a full deck of cards through them into the air and they would fall into a perfect pile all in order than, than i myself would have an easier time beliveing in the theory of evaloution.
Sorry kate for being off topic trying to prove point

The 'out' for the disciples of AGW, is when climate related events happen that don't fit into the dogmatic faith of the true believers, 'climate change' becomes the conclusion, not AGW.

How they became one and the same, is the worst form of 'NewSpeak', further evidence of the Mo Strong society of tomorrow(today?)

Think we could persuade Fred Thompson to run up here?!?

http://blip.tv/file/1528079

Political science is the basis of the AGW theories as the cartoon suggests.

Political science cannot be proven either. The only thing we do know is that all types of totalitarian philosophies are based on the superiority of the human being.

The fact is, humanity is one part of creation, proven by the very fact that we are here.

As far as other types of proof for creation, the fact human beings ask questions in trying to find the ultimate answer is proof that even though we do not understand the universe around us, the quest of knowledge is a given.

Unless a human being consciously wills himself into being an automaton, there's no denying the proof that mankind has been curious about the meaning of life.

The fact that the disciples of AGW believe that human beings can control the climate like they control the thermostat, IMHO, is totally delusional.

Tee Hee! All that money the Kos Kook Kids are whining about what has already been spent by the head money CHANGE honcho, the man, the progressive, Chicago, black icon, soon to be El Presidente, Wham Bam it's too late honey, uh uh uh, Sam. The only winners are the whores hired to tape all the media elites in their late night actions!

Save Mommy Gaia!
How can you beat that?

Re: Jack
I like the way you swooped from up high and joined politics and religion, as the great frauds of all time. Nix.

rubins 111 link, check it out !! Comments also.

Tooooo funny. They are complaining that the Madoff Fund took their pet "progressive" projects funds for a ride. How can they push their agenda now blah blah.

What does it take ? A two by four over the head ?

Madoff's $50 Billion scam is nothing compared to the Kyoto Fraud's $Billions already paid and the potential $Trillion$ black hole that could come.

syf, give it a rest please - another topic, another day.

Stay on topic, this is not a "creation" thread.

And, get on "The Big List" if you are so inclined.

Paul:

If the AGW proponents refuse to answer or diminsh the fundamental question of ‘how did we get here and why are we here,' it's no wonder they're confused.

That's the quandary the warmmongers find themselves in, since their actions clearly demonstrate that their belief system allows them the delusion that they can actually change the course of the universe by passing some laws.

Not just any laws, but laws passed by people smarter than the common sense of the mob, who can now see clearly through the fraud.

BTW Ron: What does Madoff have to do with the topic of this thread?

Just to point out one of the motivations for the Save Mother Earth movement, which morphed from the Socialist International.

“Darwin's book is very important and serves me as a basis in natural selection for the class struggle of history."
– Karl Marx to Frederick Engels, 1866.

Those who do not understand history are doomed to repeat it.

None are so blind as those who are unwilling to see.

Socialist International deemed human beings to be part of a perfected, evolved system of human law administered by the more intelligent.

For more history, research Bolshevism, whose premise was of a ruling intelligencia who could see beyond the common wisdom and transform the world into utopia.

lookout at 4:07 pm.

I remember posting this last year at this time, (or was it the year before?) Allegri misereri with voices and score. youtube may have other similar.

[Leon] Festinger stated that five conditions must be present, if someone is to become a more fervent believer after a failure or disconfirmation:

 1. A belief must be held with deep conviction and it must have some relevance to action, that is, to what the believer does or how he behaves.

 2. The person holding the belief must have committed himself to it; that is, for the sake of his belief, he must have taken some important action that is difficult to undo. In general, the more important such actions are, and the more difficult they are to undo, the greater is the individual's commitment to the belief.

 3. The belief must be sufficiently specific and sufficiently concerned with the real world so that events may unequivocally refute the belief.

 4. Such undeniable disconfirmatory evidence must occur and must be recognized by the individual holding the belief.

 5. The individual believer must have social support. It is unlikely that one isolated believer could withstand the kind of disconfirming evidence that has been specified. If, however, the believer is a member of a group of convinced persons who can support one another, the belief may be maintained and the believers may attempt to proselyte or persuade nonmembers that the belief is correct.

From Wikipedia entry on When Prophecy Fails

carbon based organisms on a carbon based planet trying to eliminate carbon. hmmmmm?

I'm 22% pure carbon myself.

"carbon based organisms on a carbon based planet trying to eliminate carbon."

Especially absurd when we know that the atmospheric CO2 that is the alleged poison is essential to plant growth. We all die without it. Even more absurd when we know that the recent elevated levels of CO2 enhance plant growth, and this trend continues to much higher concentrations.

How did mankind get so collectively stupid?

Just proves what many of the radical eco-freaks want a world wide envirmoentalism and a pgan new age cult of earth worshiping freaks like AL GORE,JAMES LOVELOCK,DAVID SUZUKI and MARICE STRONG as well as that green nut case tree sitter JULIA(BUTTERFLY)HILL
