Make Love, Make War

"Of course there’s the chance that both sides will simultaneously win and that the eventual result of the Afghan/Pakistani campaign will be a population of pill-dropping, break dancing, sunglass wearing, Oprah-watching Muslim fundamentalists, half working for Osama and the other half reporting to Langley."

"half working for Osama and the other half reporting to Langley."

Same shit, different day.

Can't we make them all report to God(Allah)?

Chickenhawk-"Can't we make them all report to God(Allah)?"

By "we" of course you mean someone else.

Hmm, 11 more days left to the Christmas season.

The Wise Guys have arrived but the Three Wise Men are still on their journey.

Waiting for an Epiphany to happen, does sometimes require patience.

Now are they reporting to Langley, Berkshire, UK, or Langley, Virginia, USA or Langley, BC, Canada?

Of course all three Langley's run top notch intelligence organizations.

Leave it to SDA to link to an posting that cites Wikipedia as a reliable source on Islam.

Wow. As if the women and girls in that part of the world haven't suffered enough already.

Just a thought.

With all these Pakistan troops moving away from the Afghan-Pakistan border, will this mean less forces will be available to monitor those US incursions into Pakistan?

Stephen, what is the depth of your knowledge of Islam?

And this great historic discovery is taught to Std V students, “Previously, India was part of Pakistan.”

Just add another historical revision to the religion of revisions. Because everything before it was a lie.

Hey stephen, I have followed many of your postings here and must ask you: why do you continue to waste your erudition and wisdom on us SDA plebes? Surely you are diverting time away from your more important missions, elsewhere. I mean, really - the fun and chuckles we get from reading your postings when compared to spending your time moving the world forward, one progressively left step at a time... guess we should feel honoured, eh?

My sources indicated that similar process is underway in Russia.

Putin/Medvedev's government is meddling in religious affairs of the people, promoting an idea that religious people are better than the atheists. The society is being divided, where the best of all are the orthodox christians, muslim the next, followed by the other christians, and the atheists being the worst.

Commies playing with islam is a WMD on par with nukes.

Love it soccermom.
In 9 mos. time, four more Afghanis born and possibly to take up the slack, he'll have to marry one or two more wives. Keep those viagras coming, boys. I'll tell you anything you want to hear.
(BTW, hope the CIA agent didn't have them with him for personal use.)

In a more serious vein: God bless the family of our latest casualty. RIP.

"....half reporting to Langley."

They're going to send Afghan Warlords to Ivy League Colleges?

Actually I had to read that line a couple of times...at first glance I thought it said "half working for Obama".

More on Pak school Islamic revisionism, from the Times of India:

The Std VIII book says, "Their (Muslim saints) teachings dispelled many superstitions of the Hindus and reformed their bad practices. Thereby Hindu religion of the olden times came to an end."

On Indo-Pak wars, the books give detailed descriptions and openly eulogize ‘jihad' and ‘shahadat' and urge students to become ‘mujahids' and martyrs and leave no room for future friendship and cordial relations with India.

According to a Class 5 book, "In 1965, the Pakistani army conquered several areas of India, and when India was on the point of being defeated, she requested the United Nations to arrange a ceasefire. After 1965, India, with the help of Hindus living in East Pakistan, instigated the people living there against the people of West Pakistan, and finally invaded East Pakistan in December 1971. The conspiracy resulted in the separation of East Pakistan from us. All of us should receive military training and be prepared to fight the enemy."

The book prescribed for higher secondary students makes no mention of the uprising in East Pakistan in 1971 or the surrender by more than 90,000 Pakistani soldiers. Instead, it claims, "In the 1971 India-Pakistan war, the Pakistan armed forces created new records of bravery and the Indian forces were defeated everywhere."

The students of Class 3 are taught that "Muhammad Ali (Jinnah) felt that Hindus wanted to make Muslims their slaves and since he hated slavery, he left the Congress". At another place it says, "The Congress was actually a party of Hindus. Muslims felt that after getting freedom, Hindus would make them their slaves."

................

Of course, neither do the textbooks make mention of the 2.5 million Hindus slaughtered by the Muslims in East Pak in the early '70's.

But then, it spreads the whole lying ideology of Muslims fighting defensive wars against the oppressors.

This is not simply a national Pakistani ideology. It is the ideology of Islam, throughout the world for 1300 years.

The greatest harm we could do Islam is to bring back 70's Disco. Most of us nearly didn't survive the era. Bad taste, & even worse Music.
Send John Travolta immediatly to Iraq.
Life will never be the same for them again.

"Make love, not war"? More like "Make rape, not war". Seriously, the women and children have suffered enough over there already. Bad policy. Of course, you could turn this around - colour some cyanide pills blue, provide them to the poor abused women over there to feed to those filthy Taliban men. I'm sure they would love to exact some sweet revenge on those pigs.

"syncretically" or is secretically?

Possible defined as the the evolution and resolution of conflicting ideas or beliefs through the exchange of bodily emissions.

Sorry Soccermom, I think you're giving those women a little more credit than they deserve. Most of them are far from being victims.

"The hand that rocks the cradle"

Have to agree with dp,soccermom. You are projecting YOUR values onto them. They are not raising productive, viable, empathic sons/daughters.They are raising little jihadists to carry on the war against the evil West.
ANY mother who believes she is doing wrong by her offspring will fight to the death to correct that. These "women" don't.

Maybe I am wrong, dp and Justthinkin, but from what I've heard about how the Taliban beat women on the street for absolutely no reason, refused to let little girls go to school, well, I would think females there would have some pent-up hatred for these Taliban pigs...Unless these women think they are only on this earth for procreation and beatings. Maybe that's it...they've been treated like crap for so many generations that there's no way they would know anything else.

You both do make a good point, though. Those jihadists have mothers, don't they...

Soccermom- How about our very own momma Khadr? She was more than happy to see all her sons martyred.

I think justthinkin hit the nail. Your values probably mean nothing to the vast majority of muslim women. Their society would never have come this far without the support of the better half of the population.

"Syncretism consists of the attempt to reconcile disparate or contrary beliefs,"

In her account of her year as a captive of highly anti-American muslim rebels in the Philippines, Gracia Burnham mentioned that one of the rebels said if the uprising didn't work out he hoped to go to the States and make a lot of money.

(This is not a direct quote, but the gist of what I remember her writing)

dp: Again, very good points. Re Momma Khadr - you are absolutely right.

To go just a bit deeper, soccermom,it is not only the women.I don't know about your hubby, but I know as a father,if my daughter came home raped,SHE WOULD NOT be the one in the ground!! I have absolutly no idea of the mindset of a cultural that accepts that the victim be killed, but that culture is a deadly threat to me and mine, that MUST be eradicated like the virus it is!

Good post, Justthinkin, except the "I don't know about your hubby" part...

In any case, good discussion.

I still like to think that "some" of these women, given a hand up and shown some kindness and freedom, would like to exact some revenge on these brutish pig...but I guess that would be also getting revenge on their entire culture, in a way. So it's not likely to happen.

Soccermom- It used to happen to quite a few immigrant families. I remember the big influx from Pakistan(to Calgary) in the 70s. Most of those people blended right in, and learned to appreciate their new home. Their kids got into sports, wore western clothing, made friends with the kids at school. Now, some bad apples are spoiling the whole bunch.

I think there is validity on both sides, soccermom. Just because some/many/most women living under the heel of Islam believe in the tripe that grinds them into the dirt doesn't mean they aren't victims being ground into the dirt.

'Raise up a child in the way he should live, when he is old he will not depart from it' applies to both good and bad values. It will take generations of hard work to eradicate the stain upon the human soul that calls itself Islam. (And it is by no means certain that we will win, I fear for my children, and my grandchildren yet to come.)

(I have been apostate for lo these many years, apologies for any misquote of a text memorized many decades ago.)
