From our good friend Larry Weber;
The next 9 days will be key for pricing across Canada as farmers face pressure from tax implications and pressure from sellers. [...] If you are looking for price discovery and price transparency in the fertilizer market, farmers can help themselves by posting their area prices. There has been many $140.00 a tonne variances on 46-0-0 along a 300 mile stretch of road and $400 between Manitoba and Ontario. I’m working on a map that will show high/lows in the north and south of each province and will post it when complete.

Gee whiz it looks like maz2's B.S. might be worth some money.
I wonder how often Farmer Iggy is going to be posting at the site?
Got enough BS here for my garden this summer. She's called an NDP.
Seriously, who the heck is running these prices. They want to turn us into Africa? Regardless of what the lefties think,we gotta eat!
I'll be long planted at six feet by the time I reach SDA's 11,152,978 visitors.
Thanks for the inspiration and the link.
If you find that you're getting stressed out over Christmas here's a daily exercise to keep you sane and calm:
1. Open a new file in your computer
2. Name it "Jack Layton".
3. Send it to the Recycle Bin.
4. Empty the Recycle Bin.
5. Your PC will ask you: 'Do you really want to get rid of "Jack Layton?"
6. Firmly Click 'Yes.'
7. Feel better?
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
Laurie.....can we do Ducepue(sp?) tomorrow??

Fun is fun, but I think Kate meant this post to be a somewhat serious attempt to bring the power of the Internet to the Primary Producer.
The power of information. As in any market place, the few always have the advantage over the many.
Here in Eastern Ontario you can't even get a quote for prices. People that in the past have bought and paid for their inputs for the upcoming crop year before Dec. 31st are being asked to just send in a cheque to their fertilizer dealer and the price will be worked out later. Ya right...who needs to run a "ponzi" scheme when you can do this......
Larry Weber, one of the good guys.
Thanks for this.
