Because He's Been Working For A Calgary Oil Company For The Past 8 Years

A little birdie tells me... watch the pages of this prominent Saskatchewan NDP blog for a coming public denunciation of this outsider's bid to take over the leadership of the Saskatchewan NDP... developing ...

Ah yes....the socialist spin, its trickier than the triple lutz. I remember years ago when a film crew was working in Saskatchewan..they chose the Lingenfelter house outside of Regina because it most resembled a Texas Oil Baron's Estate. A true man of the people that the NDP can be proud of...puhlease!!!

I'd love to see the Dawg run for a seat in the senate. We know he'd get one vote, anyway.

Buck(ed) dog calls himself fresh wind from the Prairies. Since when did severe (socialist)halitoses meet the definition of "fresh"? More like breaking wind.

Working for an Albertan oil company; following in little Tommie Mouseland’s footsteps he was.

Bwhahahahahaha.Saskabush starts prospering, and in come the socialist hordes again.Skip including you guys in seperation. And all the girlie men there will fall all over themselves trying to meet Pamela.Go guys go...heh

I think that the most double speak thing that I have ever read is a socialist quoting George Orwell and not knowing that Orwell was talking about socialism. There are only moderated comments on the NDP blog. They dont believe in free speach.

For anybody who might have thought that Mr Lingenfelter is a potential oil baron, think again. His position with Nexen is Vice President of Government Relations. Good move on the part of Nexen, hire a socialist to deal with the socialists.

Isn't buckdog the NDP blogger who got attacked by the green supporters during the election campaign?

The most out right stupid thing I ever heard was Taliban Jack Layton quoting Winston Churchill. No one hated socialist more than Churchill.

"Saskabush starts prospering, and in come the socialist hordes again"

Good point! I for one as an Albertan would love to see Sask get some gravey and prosperity for a change. Don't ruin it for another generation with the communists in socialist clothing please.

Trent-

Study a little history, Churchill was a left leaning liberal, and made nice with Stalin, and used some of Stalin's ideas.

Reading comments from Leader Post story, I can remember whhhay back when Grant Devine was personalllly responsible for interest rates in excess of 20% globalllly.

Ian Vaughan - prove your point about Sir Winston Churchill being a 'fan' of butcher Stalin with some factual examples; you can't just spew slander without some facts to back up your accusations.

“Study a little history, Churchill was a left leaning liberal, and made nice with Stalin,”

I would say a little study in lefty bull along with some smoke and mirrors!

Winston Churchill was a member of the Conservative Party in Britain. The Conservatives served with the Liberals in the all-party coalition government during WW1. He was once a Conservative, then a Liberal, next a Constitutionalist and finally, a Conservative once again. Kind of like a rebellious kid experimenting with life and career until he got it right in the end.

As far as Stalin - Churchill is quoted “If Hitler were to invade Hell, I should find occasion to make a favorable reference to the Devil,"

Making “nice” and utilizing a powerful country as an ally during an imminent crisis of invasion by an even more powerful enemy is not the same thing as agreeing with Stalin or his policies.

Well said, spike 1. Typical leftard completely missing the point. I mean, really....a leftard quoting Orwell, of all people?

"He gives us the best chance of winning in the rural"

... What?

Just wondering if Mr. Lingenfelter is going to come run back in his old old seat. The one he won in the Devine sweep,.... but lost when the NDP made a comeback everywhere else and went from 9 seats to 25 without him.

Cypress hills hasn't gone NDP in the 25 years since he left.... or been close with Elhard winning with more than 75% of the vote.

After losing in the 1986 election he ran in 88 in Bill Blakies seat when the man retired. And pretty much stuck to Regina.

Best chance of winning rural? I spose they think that with Saskatchewan being so flat he can see house near Shaunavon from Regina.... and that qualifies him.

Lingenfelter speaking for rural Saskatchewan is kinda like Goodale speaking for the west.... "seen it once. I'm an expert"

"She hasn't lived here for 29 years....." And just where did our esteemed unelected Liberal leader spent much of the last 30 years?

I love the reaction from leftards when the feel they've been thrown under the bus by their politicians (ex Barak Obama) and now Lingenfelter.

After watching the leftard reaction to S.Palin and Lingenfelter, I can only conclude that having a REAL JOB goes against progressive values.
