Pamela Geller has taken up a collection to provide honor killing victim Aqsa Parvez with a headstone -- at present Aqsa lies in grave #774 in Meadowvale Cemetery in Brampton, Ontario.Pamela and I have been in touch with the cemetery, and they have just sent us this draft of a headstone. We have signed off on it. My heartfelt thanks to all who donated for your kindness and generosity: you have made it possible to honor this poor girl in this small way.

Ah, I remember her now...well done to those involved.
Now what I'd REALLY like to see is her father buried alive in a pigskin!
Do you mean to tell me that nobody else in brampton, anyone else in her family, or any friends, sponsored a headstone for her?
I remember reading about this terrible story when it happened.
Does anyone know the current status of the case? Last I read, it was believed the father had fled the country...
Father and son are in jail awaiting trial.
Another glowing of the 'Religion of PEACE'!
mike,
Good question. Where are the vast majority; the gazillion moderate Muslims? I thought charity was one of the five pillars of Islam? Where is the charity and compassion for this brutally murdered Muslim girl?
Ah, the charity and compassion once again delivered by the infidels.
Why this girl? Why are good intentions so often misguided? Give your money to someone who needs it to live, preferably someone in your community.

Good question. An utter disgrace that nobody in her immediate or extended family saw fit to pay for a headstone. Or, anybody in the neighborhood or community.
Rest in Peace, Aqsa.
Blazing Cat Fur had a story about this recently that stated that "a victim of honour killing is always left in an umarked grave".
If these people do raise enough funds for a headstone the cemetery would have to respect the family's wishes if they requested that it be removed.
A decent gesture but unfortunately in all likelihood it's a waste of time and money.
Aqsa is denied a headstone in accordance to Sharia law - victims of an honour killing are deemed not worthy of a proper burial and headstone.
This being Canada and as long we keep the idiots from introducing Sharia into our land, a headstone is the proper thing.
There is the issue of the family's wishes that no headstone should mark her grave, the cemetery is obligated to remove the headstone.
Am I hearing this right? The family has a say? Two members of that family are charged with her murder. If the family has a say and she remains in a numbered grave, I can only conclude that Sharia law is effectively here, legal or not, whether we like it or not.
That stone in the pic would make an excellent monument to The Great Canadian Cultural Mosaic.
When we get enough of those idiots in this country they will be killing and raping our girls too.
If the family or anyone else has the headstone removed, we will set it up elsewhere as a remembrance of Aqsa and of all victims of honor killing.

I need your help folks. Please tell me again, what are the redeemable qualities of Islam?

So victims of an honour killing are not deemd to be worthy of a headstone.
What do all the useful idiots who claim that this poor girl's murder was 'not an honour killing, just another example of domestic violence' have to say about this?

Barbara, they'll tell you that you're a racist and a bigot, and clearly don't understand The Religion Of Peace (tm).
Very thoughtfull.
The best of a bad situation.
Robert, I follow your writings and admire you greatly. But when you say "we" will set up a memorial, who do you propose will pay for the place and the monument? I'll gladly chip in if someone takes the initiative and arranges it. As it is, lots of people will speak of their rage, but whan it comes to putting their money where their mouth is.... well, I hope for the best, but have somewhat lesser expectations. What say ye all? I'll leave my real email address here and will pitch in. But someone is gonna have to say - show me the money.
Contribution sent.
As far as the matter of the family refusing the headstone goes, a polite letter to the lawyer(s)representing her father (spit) and brother (spit) might work wonders. Accepting the headstone might be viewed by the judge as evidence of remorse, and taken into consideration at sentencing, and conversely, refusing the headstone might be viewed as defiance.
I think it was one of her friend's who contacted Pamela Gellor and may have also given some money. But of course she is a high school student without a lot of funds.
Better make it a BIG one.
Some Sharia a**hole will push it over, sure as shiite!
INP:
No worries. Pamela Geller and I will do that. But first we are going to try to get this headstone in place. What follows after that depends upon what happens once it is in place.

If the family rejects the headstone, how about asking to have it put on display (with suitable commentary about this and other "honour" killings) at Canada's new Museum of Human Rights. The museum wouldn't refuse, would it?
"Do the World a favour. Bitchslap a Leftard Sharia-apologist TODAY!"
Ah, we can but dream. That'd make a helluva bumper-sticker, no?
