  1. Incredible. How many more injuries can this team sustain? We’re gonna make Hufnagels ears bleed Thursday night.

  2. Congratulations; although, it does make for a more sporting match if BOTH teams plays for the whole game. The Stamps started a little too late. Good win, nonetheless.
I was at the game, and I must say that there were a fair number of totally obnoxious Rider fans there. Your bandwagon has picked up a few unsavory characters.
    Cheers.

  3. Odd. I notice the Stamps fans seem a little more ‘sportsmanlike’ than some of the Riders’ fans, LANCE. If you want to crow like that over a one point win against a .500 team, well, that’s your prerogative, I guess.
I can understand it, though. Last year aside, the western riders have been bargain basement material for my entire lifetime, a little winning can go to your head. Once you’ve won a few, maybe you’ll pick up a little class. Maybe not, we’ll see.

  4. Um, in regards to posing a comment to the above post!
    LOL is this intentional?
(Had enough coffee to figure out – just copy the link and then it will go to Ezra Levant’s site.)

  5. “Once you’ve won a few, maybe you’ll pick up a little class.”
Funny. That never seemed to work for Stamps fans in the ’90s.
Or Esks fans in the ’80s.

  6. Enkidu, no crow. If I’d wanted to crow, you’d know it. I went against the grain here earlier by calling the Riders to win. There really is no way the Riders should have won:
    – The Stamps weren’t .500 going into the game.
    – They were at home.
    – The Riders are plagued with injuries (and now more).
    – Stamps are arguably the best offence in the league.
This game is one of four between our two teams this year. There is going to be a _lot_ of smack talk between the fans. Get used to it as it’s all meant in fun.
There is no “hate” involved. Ask marc in calgary. In the previous thread he jumped right on my smack talk and gave as good as got.
Besides, the Stamps have another shot on Thursday, I expect the highly paid, superstar bobsled team will actually try and catch the balls this time.
    Cheers,
    lance

  7. Holy crap, Lance! You hurt a Calgarian’s feelings. They seem to be a bit testy lately. Must be all that traffic and high cost of living.
Just a clarification for Enkidu, the Stamps are NOW .500, they weren’t before the game.
As a matter of fact, I recall Rod Black saying during the broadcast, when the Saskies were up 21-14, “If Calgary sweeps the series, they’ll have the same record as the Riders.” The Stamps are/were also ranked second behind the Riders in the TSN standings, so don’t downplay them to a .500 team. That is unless that’s how you think they’re going to finish the year.
Enkidu, relax. It’s not like you’re on the team. But then again, if you are, I can understand why you aren’t posting with your real name 😉
    Go Riders!

  8. What a tasteless picture,I love it. Hopefully come thursday the stamps will only have to face the green team and not the striped one also.

  9. Go Ruffies, no wait, that’s the one for Kate’s dogs.
Thumb, thumb, oh here it is –
    Go Roughies Go!
    Grey Cup here we come.
