Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“When the MAN comes around.” Not the metrosexual or politician, journalist, activist, or even the university professor, but a MAN who is not afraid to KICK SOME ASS.
You must kill your enemy first, because he is committed to killing you. It is disconcerting when your enemy is in your midst and you tolerate that unacceptable situation.
Armageddon sounds close. We don’t know if The Man in the Book of Revelation will be wearing army fatigues, but I like the ‘good over evil’ theme of this vid.
Maranatha!
Johnny Cash, RIP, has demonstrated once again he was a very spiritual man.
Makes my heart swell with pride to be associated with these men.
Win the war and return home as true heroes to freedom and liberty.
Send em all to hell boys!
Doug: “…but a MAN who…”. The song, of course, is based on the Book of Revelations and the song is referring to the end of days and Christ’s return.
Christ was a man, yes, in his fleshly incarnation…but “God” in Hebrew was not a singular form of word, but meant two or more. The “two or more” were not clarified in terms of exact number or sex, but there is known to be at least the Trinity (God the father, God the son and God the holy spirit)…but perhaps God is more than just the Trinity and God may include representatives of the female sex.
Because, as the Bible says elsewhere, (roughly translated from memory) “…let US make man in OUR image, male and female…”.
So, when you emphasize the word MAN, realize that God may also have female representation within “his” being. It’s the same as “man” (meaning male human, singular) and “Man” (meaning mankind, male and female), if you know what I mean.
Just so you know, eh. Other than that, carry on.
EBT – your theology is very heterodox.
Sorry, didn’t mean to distract from the point of the thread with the offbeat theology.
I would say to our brave troops (paraprhasing from another saying) “Smoke ’em when you find ’em!”
“We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.” — George Orwell
Amen.
I don’t know if anyone else caught “Carrier” on PBS last week, it warmed my heart. What a nice bunch of decent human beings. Joining the military and participating in the process is a good thing for young people. There are so many useless slobs going nowhere that could benefit from a few years service.
Guess I am the only one that can’t see whatever it is that cjunk posted? Video I am sure, but what source? Youtube vids on the page are working for me……
Awesome.
More, faster, please.
Thanks Cjunk? Kate? If ever a singer defined cool, it was Johnny Cash.
Few things scream liberty like a Bradley puffing out pop-cans.
Godspeed boys.
Come home safe….
That was awesome.
“We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.” — George Orwell
And there are those to whom the thought of giving thanks does not occur, as they fear these “rough men” that protect them. Fear eats at them and to stay sane in their cowardice, they hate those that protect them.
Strange but True Brew
Well thanks to the PC in Canada our soldiers cannot smoke their cigarettes ANYWHERE in Canada – not even in a Legion! Some call that freedom (from tobacco smoke), if that Canuck smoker came to rescue a ‘stay at home and safe’ iddy biddy Canadian with a cigarette in his hand he would be ordered to ABSTAIN from smoking because he was ‘killing’ the helpless citizen with second hand smoke! Priorities!
Johnny Cash is a hero of mine, he wrote songs that had a message. Also he was never PC.
Thanks for posting this Cjunk.

LT Kurtz from “Apocalypse Now” would agree.. That situation cannot continue. period. Whatever the cost, I agree.
There is something special about Johnny Cash and his music. A week ago my daughter gave birth to son. They named him Cash, after Johnny. I’m proud.
Powerful. Nobody screaming into a microphone and no amps turned to 11. Just powerful. I was welling up there for a few.
