Reader Tips

Tips thread open. I’ll be out most of the day and next, so things will get pretty slow around here unless a couple of the guest bloggers wish to pop by.

  1. Lawrence Martin is another myopic journalist, and he clearly dislikes Harper. I thought the Sun cartoon was very funny. I don’t at all mind things done in jest (in this case, I think the cartoon pokes fun at and points out the absurdity of Fife’s comment.) But when journalists like Martin and Fife take cheap shots that, disparage and stereotype a party that has successfully attractd a very diverse group of supporters — including PhD’s, athiests, visible minorities and even some gays — that’s annoying.

    Here’s my favorite:
“Another idea is what Liberal environment critic David McGuinty calls a “location-efficient mortgage” that would let people who buy homes near public transit borrow mortgage money at a lower interest rate. That would encourage transit use and discourage driving.”
    – In other words, increase interest rates for people unfortunate enough to live away from a subway or create a govt. subsidy for those rich enough to buy homes near public transit. Screw those redneck country-dwellers god d**n it!

  3.
Global climate is complex and scientific evidence on key relationships is weak or absent. For example, the IPCC holds that CO2 plays a significant causal role in determining global temperature, but a number of studies have presented evidence that causation generally works in the opposite direction (increases in atmospheric levels of CO2 are a result of higher temperatures) and that CO2 variation plays at most a minor role in climate change.32
Johann,
That is some report! NO science found in the Global Warming claims. What happens to the carbon Market… Is Gore stuck with all those Scales & cash registers?
If Canada had some balls they would offer to “Lead” an Manhattan like project to build a real climate model. The US has anti-trust laws, which make cooperation between “Corporation” Scientists difficult.
