Perhaps grouping people in this way makes it easier, for those so inclined, to allocate the resources necessary to achieve equal outcomes for all. It would be very difficult task if one had to consider each individual’s aspirations. Probably not something that a government could do, and then where would we be?

Identity politics is a modern repackaging of Marxist class politics in a form acceptable to north american liberals. Its sole purpose is to replace the traditional concepts of the empowered individual and his rights, freedoms and equality under the law, with collectivist social constructs of group entitlements meted out by committees on a basis of need…in this case the need for extra entitlement is determined by ones disadvatage due to identity group victimhood degree.

The US election is not about race. The democrats are going to lose because of Anti-American policy. Obama’s problem is he is a far left ideologue with a hate America message. Bill Clinton was right when he said Hillary & McCain are the American candidates, but that is not a racial slur. If the social experts keep injecting race, they may just conjure up some ugly consequences.
