  31. Yes, it’s fascinating to see that Richard Warman is threatening to sue Ezra Levant. What’s fascinating is – as Ezra points out – how could he be so stupid?
    This would be in a Real Court, not the Star Chamber guilt-by-association and innuendo and guesses about future hurt feelings caused by your own offensive behaviour but attributed to another’s speech…of the Human Rights Commissions.
    And he’s up against Ezra! I simply don’t get it.

    I’ve read the letter sent by Warman’s lawyer to Ezra. I’m not a lawyer and can only ‘opine’ that I’ll bet that Warman is being funded by the Canadian Jewish Congress, who are mentioned frequently in the letter.
    That is, the defamation claimed by Warman is not simply the claim by several blog sites, including Ezra’s, that he wrote an anonymous blog post with offensive and racist comments against Senator Anne Cools. It’s the claim that his actions with the HRC are aligned with the CJC.
    So, I’m suggesting that this threat to sue is not being carried out by Warman alone, but, there’s the CJC involved. And Kinsella, who has recently become employed by the CJC, and who has a vendetta against Kate and other bloggers. And against Ezra.

  32. Did anyone see the British film Amazing Grace about William Wilberforce and his long struggle to abolish slavery in England? I was wondering why it was not nominated for at least best foreign film.
    Noticed at the Oscars that there were a few black presenters and historical or ‘past-away’ clips with black actors, but that there were few nominees this year (I guess the choir in the best song category counts). Ruby Dee would have been a good choice as best supporting actress – I remember seeing her in a lot of films and t.v. episodes over the years.
    Don’t think Denzel Washington was nominated.

    And within 3 days, by February 15, 2008, confirming the pervasive fear of violent Muslim reprisal that apparently grips Danish society, Westergaard was ejected from his police-protected hotel room having been deemed, “too much of a security risk.” Now the 73-year-old cartoonist and his wife are homeless.

So the gubmint raises money by “carbon-taxing” economic activity…. guess to whom these costs will be passed down? Yep, the taxpayer, who just got a tax cut but now has to pay a lot more to heat, eat, etc. And if the taxpayer consumes less, there is less economic activity, therefore less carbon taxes, but the entitlements remain the same, and once again, the taxpayer must cough up. It’s a zero-sum game, Fruitfly… Carbon taxing is a concept invented by economic and scientific illiterates in pursuit of a liberal fascist agenda.
