Fred…
Wow! Just….wow….
OK…”gingerbread houses collapse”
Now I’m starting to get worried. I’m seriously considering moving to another planet…
Nice diversion Fred.
Should we just ignore the world*s two greatest offenders then?
[1] CoalGen plants without clean coal tech.
[2] Fossil Smog burdening cities worldwide.
Flatulence is a function of nature. It*s time you Liberal leftists got real. = TG
errrrrrrr…TG….
I read it as satire, and a slam against the AGW alarmists….
Fred, I’m impressed. TG, lighten up, eh.
OK I*m all for focus. Scattergun is… well..
While Exxon and Chevron have morphed from free enterprise to [lobby] dictatorship, I do love both Texas and Alberta having lived in Calgary and Corpus Christi.
Curious eh? = TG
All the same, weather is screwy despite what you all want to believe here. The real crime is how the left is using this subject to ram the final stages of their revolution down our all ready raw throats.
To clarify then;
I have no dislike for Alberta or Texas but I do want a reasonable electric car and some corporate gang has used lobby power to spin enough red tape to crush Canadian EV makers. [Not the battery mfrs certainly.]
autobloggreen.com/2007/10/28/canada-is-killing-the-electric-car/
EVs will moderate the price of gas and diesel yet Alberta and Texas can easily tolerate that. I just want to see a return to freedom of enterprise and less smog. = TG
Mo Strong has had the answer all along. He stated:
“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that industrialized civilization collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”
Now that would really fix the problem, don’t know if that would be helpful to his favorite place China.
Another person of note who spewed his opinion on the great environment fix-all called KYOTO, Michael Ignatieff, said: “As a practical matter of politics nobody knows what KYOTO is or what it commits us too”.
That may have been before he submerged himself in the Party that signed KYOTO, especially under one of it’s fans, his leader Dion who called his dog KYOTO.
The guy in the Youtube videos makes excellent points. One of the best is that the climate has always changed, and the rate of change today is nothing to be alarmed about. Let’s do something “real” about pollution, lobby one’s politicians to actually put some dollars into sewage treatment, for example. In a perfect world, city water intake pipes would be downstream of their sewage outfalls, giving good incentive to get the sewage treatment right.
CO2 is not the world’s most pressing problem. Pollution in the form of SO2, NOx, arsenic and mercury laden factory exhausts… These are far more problematic.
“It seems that colder climates created bigger brains that adapted to cope with cold, but some scientists now fear that global warming trends could be reversing this evolution. Who’d have thought smaller human brains would be a result of warmer climates?”
Now, if this is true, that would explain the current theory of African being less intelligent that Whites and Asian who come from colder climes.
It also explains that Arab world who also wear large amounts of insulation on their heads even it the desert heat.
I am relieved that it’s not genetic but rather environmental.
Global warming can bring on “irrational” voting patterns (Sask Party – 38, NDP – 21), and stubble jumpers (Riders) forgetting that bronco riders (Stampeders) are unbeatable (Sask 26, Calgary 24). As an ex Saskatchewan farm boy I say “Yeah Saskatchewan” and bring on Global Warming, it seems like it can do nothing but bring good outcomes.
LOL the founder of the weather channel has declared the GW campaign “The BIGGEST scam I hever ever seen”.
“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that industrialized civilization collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”
At least we won’t have to bring it about in Africa, it already is without industrialization. A veritable paradise.
The elites of this world don’t see themselves as serfs, but rather as the slave masters who will have minions doing their bidding and providing just enough technology and industry to support their opulent feudal rule of the vastly reduced population of the world.
Google Daniel Estulin and bilderbergers
Some of the proponent and supporters of this proposition go a bit over the edge, but generally I think there is serious and credible information about what the elites of this world are up to.
It certainly helps to explain a lot things that politicians and other powerful individuals and institutions so (including the UN in a big way).
Global warming is the use of “the Big Lie” on steroids. If you say something long enough and with enough conviction, eventually it will be taken as truth. Al Gore and his followers are very big liars.
And Fred … good work there dude.
Functionally illiterate…w?ww?oTw. You moonbats can’t even babble without bringing up “welfare”.
Spiders!…….Spiders!…..I’ve got spiders at a fair price for those who’ve swallowed Flies!….Spiders!….I’ve got Spiders!
“I have no dislike for Alberta or Texas but I do want a reasonable electric car and some corporate gang has used lobby power to spin enough red tape to crush Canadian EV makers. [Not the battery mfrs certainly.]”
Can you imagine the pollution caused by these electric cars with a top speed of 25 MPH due to the traffic jams they would cause.
alan hasn’t driven in a large city.
25mph (or 40 kph) is a good speed, during a morning / evening commute out of downtown.
takes me at least 15 mins to go 5 kms either way.
average speed? 20 kph
go figure……….
Remember it is the Children, the Women and the Old men.
The Old men should not run that much anyway.
That pretty much covers the ‘most vulnerable’ victims list.
The men should really just shut up and die.
I find the global warming coverage somewhat reminiscent of the headline on a New York Times parody: World Ends: Women, Minorities Hardest Hit
They could have minimum speeds on some highways and leave the evs alone.
-igloo sized hail-
These guys gotta add “Climate Change” to their handbook. Look how stupid they are … they say “Too little moisture means inadequate compaction – the particles cannot move past each other to achieve density.” Ha, ha.

Are you ready for “Global Meltdown”?
Or even “planetary meltdown”?
No, not global warming,
or even climate change,
but a meltdown of the whole rang-dang thing.
Saw this story in the paper this weekend:
http://www.canada.com/topics/news/world/story.html?id=bebdd79c-a80b-4bb8-9def-dd79884ea175&k=51249
The title of the on-line article is:
“Scientists say get ready for a hotter planet”.
Nothing too alarming in that, except that when the same story got printed in our local newspaper, (Page A22 Calgary Herald, Nov 10, 2007) the title was now:
“No quick fix for global meltdown, UN study warns”.
Global Meltdown????
Sounds serious – the second paragraph states:
“A draft of the team’s final report, to be fine-tuned at an international meeting that begins in Spain Monday, says there is no quick fix for the planetary meltdown threatening everything from Arctic ecosystems to boreal forests and coral reefs.”
“planetary meltdown”????
Fine-tuned????
Looks to me somebody already has fine-tuned the title a tad or two already.
Anyway, as I read the rest of the article, I had a good laugh at the part where it states:
“The draft, dated May 15, 2007, includes a 21-page summary and various chapters spelling out IPCC findings. The scientific authors weighed their words carefully and even have rules for the use of loaded phrases. . .”
Loaded Phrases????
I guess the author of the article din’t read that part.
“alan hasn’t driven in a large city.”
Sorry I did not realize these were for the city during rush hour only cars.
I guess the Vancouver police should throw away their radar guns as traffic is so bad to that no one can go over 25 MPH, it must be years since they have handed out a speeding ticket.
These gotta rewrite their handbook to include global warming. I guess they don’t know any rugby league players – look what they said “Too little moisture means inadequate compaction – the particles cannot move past each other to achieve density.”

2 days and tech types would have them doing higher speeds.
2 weeks and non-tech types would learn where to take their new EV for tech adjustments.
It*s called human nature alan.

$400,000 gas speed bomb gets 300% smoked by little $150K battery demo car.
Is battery power *limp-wristed*?
Are lots of Prius owners converting hybrid to [PEV]? = TG
Liberal nincompoops like AL GORE and all this poppycock about GLOBAL WARMING and HEY B@BIRD HOW ABOUT TRADTING SOME OF THEOSE I HAVE A FEW SAND BUGS
Vitrivius,
Thanks for the links to the Bob Carter presentation.
It should become mandatory viewing, but, more likely, will soon becpme outlawed viewing as it can clearly be considered hate speech…
That ‘Walk against Warming’ website shows Paris Hilton and the ‘Harry Potter’ character wearing their T-shirts – surely that kind of respectability buys them a lot of legitimacy.
ps. are these people frickin’ loons or what!
