    Ottawa Citizen writer David Pugliese, gets this Headline : “Military wants to replace spy plane sooner, not later” to his story on the plans to retire and replace the old Aurora Reconnaissance aircraft.
    Now I did not see anywhere in the article any reference to the term SPY used by the writer and certainly in fact the Aurora never held any SPY role ever.
    So it seems like a case of the Ottawa Citizen editorial staff creating a false and misleading idea about our military’s role and the reasons we need this kind of equipment.
    Just exactly what motivates these twits?

    When the teen’s mother complained she was threatened with arrest on trumped up charges.
    The 16 year old student who took the video of the girl being beaten was also beaten by guards who are now attempting to frame him with “assault on an officer”.
    This is becoming all too common in the US as “security” companies expand exponentially and take on police powers and hire out as a private police force…they must be starving for personel as they appear to be recruiting from the bottom of the barrel. A thug in a uniform is still a thug.

The hated regime represents everything that left wing political parties abhor: excessive brutal force used to suppress the poor population, widespread censorship, strict military rule.   13. Parachuting candidates in, handpicking nominees and cheating/buying of votes for riding nominees is so very counter productive.
    A candidate sells memberships and the candidate that sells the most memberships would indicate that they have the most support in the riding and thus the most likelihood of winning in the general election. For someone to be appointed, they have no feet on the ground, no basis for support in the general election other than name brand recognition of the party or of the candidate.
    By all means encourage Dion to appoint “star” candidates. His judgement has proven to be suspect so far. The brand support of Liberal is equally suspect. Let them live in fairyland until after the next election.

  15. A ‘panhandler’, ‘homeless’ in Toronto, got sixty days in jail for her role in the murder of some publicly irrelevant guy walking down the street.
    Extreme punishment such as spending one third of sixty days in jail for killing someone who did not immediately empty his pockets for the ‘homeless’ like he’s supposed to do will outrage Canadian sensibility, where is the Court’s compassion?
    It’s obvious the homeless industry in Toronto needs another $200 million dollars a year.

    As I write this I can find nothing at CBCPravda on this. Big surprise now that they are peddling their “Peace in our time with the Taliban” line along with the NDP.

    – According to the Ottawa Citizen, Canada has spy planes???
    – the Mop & Pail is asking the question that the Taliban have already given the Afghanistan government: pound salt. So why is the Canadian MSM asking?
    – the same Mop & Pail hails the grassroots nomination of one conservative over another as a “knockdown victory”. Maybe it is a new idea for Lieberals and Dippers but conservatives have been known to listen to the will of the people and voters. No “one turd of das candidates will be womens” crap.

  30. Yes, andycanuck, I thought the Citizen article on the hiring of Joan Tintor was rather foolish. Since when are bloggers ineligible for Federal contracts? Unlike journalists, they don’t get paid to blog. Also, the contract was $20,000 which keeps it within the threshold for hiring without competition. (Among other things, it’s usually not worth the time and expense of running an open competition for smaller contracts.) So what exactly is the story here?

You would think that rabble is a parody site except for the fact that they are scarey real. The fact that 4 of the 7 comments are by moderators tells me a lot about the volume of traffic they get.   36. How can we get Taliban Jack sent to Afghanistan as an avant garde peacemaker?
    Equip him with a tent and 30 boxes of warm blankets, a negotiating table and a million Cdn in twenties under the table. Drop him in a valley somewhere and let the Taliban and our Jack hammer out an intitial set of “agreements”.
    Then we will have a better understanding of Jacks diplomatic and negotiating surrender strengths or weaknesses.
