  1. Were my dog to be sick enough, or injured badly enough, I could take him to the vet and he would see a doctor today. If the doctor recommended a MRI scan, I could take him to the veterinary college at the U of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon and have an MRI done this afternoon. If surgery was required, my dog could be in surgery tomorrow. My dog enjoys a higher standard of health care than I do. Saskatchewan’s NDP government, and all others who regard our current medicare procedures as the unbreakable word of God, should be bloody ashamed of this. Yes I am aware that I would have to pay for this from my own pocket. If I am able and willing to, why should I not be allowed to pay for superior health care for myself or a member of my family. Perhaps Comrade Lorne Calvert or one of his talking head yes-men, aka NDP MLAs, could answer that.

  2. “I don’t mean to cast aspersions on the lady, and perhaps I’m in a distrustful mood today, but since you Canadians are in a political season and this lady’s story fits so nicely in the anti-Liberal meme, I have to ask, do you know within a reasonable level of assurance that her story is for real?”
I can assure you that my story is real. I wish it weren’t. Trust me, I wake up every morning wishing it has all been a bad dream.
Thank you everyone for your support on my cause to get cancer patients in Ontario access to PET scans.

  3. I think it all comes down to how dumb the doctors are in Canada; I’ve met two intelligent doctors here – the many others I’ve met are morons.
This lady is calm because she is giving up – how sad is that.

  4. Sick.
That story reminds me all to well of the deplorable state that Saskatchewan’s health care is in. When will we wake up?
There is a health care crisis in Saskatchewan just like there is in Ontario
