I'm sure these atrocities, if indeed they happened, were rationalized with the thought that because the boy was muslim his death was for the cause of the advancement of Islam. Any muslim who dies for the cause is a martyr and we all know the rewards for a martyr. Besides which it frees the little boy from the horrors of living his life under sharia law in an islamic society.

Actually it doesn't matter if it is truth or fiction. If this is the kind of story that is being spread in Iraq by the Iraqis then this will severely diminish the attractiveness of AQ to the local populations.

This and stories like them make it hard to understand why so many Canadians want an immediate withdrawal from Afghanistan. Our troops know of such things occuring and want to help children and other innocent Afghani's. All of our troops and their families are strongly behind this mission for this very reason, shame on the NDP.

I join you in your scepticism but don't agree with your proof. My scepticism comes from my experience with the fog of war, unfortunately the "official media" is the main dispenser of the fog of war.

There are those in high places, in the western world, who will do everything within their power to deny that pure evil exists, until it is served to them on a plate.

So deep is this denial that it leads to things like the 'Bumper Sticker' comment by John Edwards, and the 'Bush is Brain Dead' comment by Joe Biden. These people might actually believe that you can negotiate with al Qaeda, and trust the results.

There is only one way to deal with pure evil such as this. Complete, ruthless eradication. Anything less should be deemed unacceptable.

Problem is that the average Canadian/American knows only what the MSM tells him or what friends talk about over a latte. The stories they are willing to believe about evil on our side usually are easily placed in the nonsense category with any critical examination of facts, but they would never believe the above disgusting dining story.
There is a way to begin the dispensing of the truth but for some reason our political leaders (the real ones, SH, GB, TB) are reluctant.
In Canada at least, there is a way around the MSM McCarthyism, that was used Many years ago.
Canada has leadership that is above politics; the Queen. Back in the 60's, the Governor General, the Queens representative in Canada, commissioned a series of documentaries that were tasked with exposed organized crime. As well, investigative writers were put up to the task. The documentaries were shown on the CBC; and without media comment.
