stephen - is the 'talking with them', the common suggestion of the left, meant to find out anything or is it instead an assumption that the enemy has a valid issue of grievance? Islamic fascism has no valid grievance; it's a utopian ideology of total control and empowerment. Nothing to talk about.

It's hard to tell whether or not we should be grateful for the general lack of competence in bomb making. The bomb didn't go off so people shrug their shoulders and get on with life. If it had gone off and maimed/killed lots of people maybe we would take terrorism seriously. I just hope Iran doesn't smuggle explosives and the know how to Britain under the guise of diplomatic baggage.
As for the IRA comment earlier the truth is the security services knew full well who most of them were/are. When Blair capitulated to them we had them by the balls.
