Inciting To Mutiny

Arresting the person or group who started this, and charging them with treason would send a loud message. Maybe nothing would come of it, but it would take months to straighten it out. And to think, they would have to pay their own legal costs, so they might not get any lawyer to take their case. Wonder if they are connected to taliban jack.

That would be funny, actually applying the law, and bringing the coercive power of the state to bear on those who richly deserve it. I don't think I have ever seen anything like that before, at least not in Canada.

If the seperatists were not charged what makes anyone think these slimeballs will be charged. The law in Canada is rather selectivel applied, re Caledonia, Gomery Commission, Uncle Mo, shall I go on?

I am afraid that the liberal stacked courts (including the SCC) will not understand or recognize the concept of loyalty, duty and allegiance.

If this ever sees a charge laid or the inside of a courtroom it is likely that enciting a mutiny, or being a traitor will be re-defined as Charter rights.

Remember the last referendum vote and the faxes sent to CF Bases assuring those posted to Quebec that they would have jobs following a Yes vote in a new Quebec military. I am pretty sure no charges there.....

It's not a matter of whether or not they should be charged, but whether or not they would be charged. Loopholes are the specialty of groups such as these, in finding a way to avoid prosecution. In the article, it says that the letters were sent to "occupant" which when it gets to a legal stand would be decried as not being sent to deliberatley try and get a military body to refuse duty, because it was not specifically addressed to a military member.

I've asked my MP (Catherine Bell)to follow up on this. The traitorous people that sent the letters shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. However my MP is NDP (I didn't vote for her) and so the likelyhood of any action is slim to none. But I would ask everyone out there to contact their MPs and maybe one will have the intestinal fortitude to follow up on it.

If I was closer, I would definitely March for the Troops, and if I saw whose anti-war protesters, as a citizen of Canada, I would go up and pop the biggest male I could find (would be funny to see them arrest a 5 foot 2 grandma type).
